Obituary for Lujan

Ramona Duran Lujan, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 20, 2001. She was born February 28, 1935 in Lordsburg, New Mexico. She was retired from the University of New Mexico, where she worked for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dalia Arvizo and Esther Reza, brothers, Mike Arvizo, Juan Arvizo, Natividad Arvizo, granddaughter Juanita Dawn Martinez. Ramona is survived by her daughter, Barbara Martinez; and granddaughter, Rachelle Martinez Garrido both of Albuquerque; sons, Max Martinez and fiance, Vivian Platero, Victor Martinez, wife, Estella; and granddaughter, Trisha Renee Martinez, all of Albuquerque; son, Alfredo Martinez and Winona Southam of Idaho; brothers, Isidro Arvizo and wife, Carmen of California, Rosalio Arvizo and wife, Cruz, Primo Arvizo and wife, Tina, all of Lordsburg, Rudy Correlejo and wife, Jenny of Arizona; sisters, Julia Martinez and husband, Herminio, of Albuquerque, Margarita Ortega of Lordsburg Maria Alba of California, Alicia Quiroz and Marcelina Meza, both of Lordsburg; granddaughter, LeAnne Histia; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was a loving person who was loved by many. A Rosary will be recited on Monday April 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1860 Griegos N.W.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 17, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Pallbearers will be Joseph Marrujo, Matthew Martinez, Abel Herrera, Hubert Martinez, Curtis Chavez, and Max Duboisterre. The Family wishes to thank the Hospice Staff for the time and care given to their mother. In lieu of Flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Place N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87110. Funeral Services are in the are of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW. 243-5222.
