Obituary for Segura

Connie Segura, 64, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Thursday, October 18, 2001, while surrounded by her loving family; after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Alameda and was a resident of Rio Rancho; she was a member of the S.N.M. De M.P., No. 2 of Alameda, NM, and of the American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary; and enjoyed music and dancing. Connie is survived by her loving husband, Cruz M. Segura of the family home; seven sons, Clyde and wife, Mary, Rudy, Donald, Steve and wife, Diane all of Alameda, Geno, Ronald and Johnny all of Rio Rancho; three daughters, Maria Mcneely, Hendrietta Lucero, and Grace Rivera and husband, Daniel all of Rio Rancho; 26 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors also include, Connie's mother, Eva Gurule; three brothers, Bobby Gurule, Charlie Gurule and Gilbert Gurule all of Alameda; three sisters, Lydia Baca and husband, Albert, Kathy Garcia and Flossie Martinez and husband, Richard all of Alameda; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives; and a host of friends. Connie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Final viewing will be Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Connie's sons, Clyde, Geno, Rudy, Donald, Ronald, and Steve Segura. Honorary bearers will be John Segura and Daniel Rivera. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street, NW.
