Obituary for Gouett

Charles Sidney "Sid" Gouett, Jr., 67, loving husband, devoted father, and caring grandfather, passed away unexpectly on February 22, 2001. He was an outstnading athlete at Bishop Union High School, Bishop, California, and went on to play football for Witchita State. He was proud to have served his country in the Armed Forces. He became an accomplished real estate entrepreneur but was most successful with his family. He supported each family mamber in whatever dreams and aspirations they may have had. Sid loved to tell stories and he made everyone smile because we all knew his colorful stories stretched the truth a bit. He was creative with his hands, in the kitchen, wood shop, and the garden. He was an avid fisherman. Sid loved a variety of sports and was especially a big Lobo and Rams fan. Watching classic western movies was his favorite pastime and he knew where most of them were filmed. He was full of life and could easily make friends with 500 people on a cruise ship in three days. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Sue of the family home; his children and step-children, Krysti Gouett of CA, Pat Hulse and Suzette of Rio Rancho, Neil Gouett and Laurie of Thousand Oaks, CA, Shawna Hulse of Albuquerque; Susan Burleson of Salt Lake City, UT, and Erin Hulse and John Penery of Albuquerque. Sid is also survived by eight grandsons, two granddaughters, sisters, Gerogie Clark and family of Hanford, CA; and Ginnie Johnson of Bishop, CA, and countless friends. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
