Obituary for Eddingfield

Kenneth R. "Buzz" Eddingfield, Sr., 61, a resident of Albuquerque died, Tuesday, August 14, 2001 born to Claude LeRoy and Thelma Elizabeth Edingfield on November 27, 1939 in Carnegie, OK. He married Shirley Ann Blea on June 8, 1962. He was active in sports and played semi-pro Ball for many years. Buzz worked in the grocery business most of his adult life and had many accomplishments in this industry. He believed in his family integrity and cherished his beloved wife, daughters, sons, grandchildren and family with all his heart and will be missed by all. He is survived by his daughters, Jeanette Killgore of Marlow, OK and Kim of Dallas, TX; sons, Kenneth Jr., Kevin and wife, Monica of Las Vegas, Roger, Jr., and wife, Abigail of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Katrina and husband, Keith Williams of Dallas, TX, Kristen and Kurtis, Desiree Killgore of Marlow, OK and Brian of Las Vegas; great-grandchildren, Nathanael and Ezekiel Eddingfield of Albuquerque; siblings, Jacob and wife, Freda of Oklahoma City, Donald of Witchita, KS, Ronald and Karen of Sacramento, CA and Rita and Gale Evans of Carnegie, OK; sister-in-law, Janey Pease of Hydro, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews. Buzz's family also included the Blea side of the family, Dorothy and Eric Jaramillo, Nick and Lynna Blea, Pat Murietta, Phil Blea, Verneal and Dwayne Miller, JJ and Kim Blea. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, Eldon and Jack Edingfield, Dortha Day, PK and Alvin Pease. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW with Father Frank Prieto, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Monique Santangelo, Joseph Santangelo, Larry Purcella, Russell Jaramillo, Nat Coraci and Jonathan Knoell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, 216 Truman NE, 87108 or Catholic Charities of Central New Mexico, 1410 Coal Ave. SW, 87104. Friends may visit French Mortuary-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW Friday, 4:00 p.m.
