Ruth Reed Austin, 91, born August 10, 1909, passed away April 12, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney O. Austin; son, Robert D. Austin; granddaughter, Tiffany Austin; brothers, Homer and Gray Reed; sisters, Ella Reed Morrow and Lorena Reed. A resident of Albuquerque in the early 1940's, she and her husband moved to Fallbrook, CA in the 1970's and returned to Albuquerque in 1990. She is survived by her grandson, Richard A. Austin, Washington State; and granddaughter, Stephanie Castell, N. Carolina; her great-grandson, Sidney Robert Austin; and daughter-in-law, Adina Sowle, Washington State; nieces, May Anne Hill and Jean Vandecar, Albuquerque; and several other relatives. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, May 4, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro, followed by a reception. Donations may be made in Mrs. Austin's name to the charity of your choice.
