BLACK, JOANNE M. Age 67. Counseling psychologist Joanne M. Black, PhD, MSN, RNCS, passed away February 9, 2015, at her home in Albuquerque. Her sister Teresa Materio and two nieces of Atlantic City, NJ, survive her. CORNELL, DUDLEY (LEE) EMERSON IV Dudley (Lee) Emerson Cornell, IV, age 61, passed on suddenly and peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, D.E. (Skip) Cornell, III; his brother, Christopher George Cornell; and his partner, Gilbert Baca. He is survived by his mother, Joan Anderson Cornell; his sister, Jill Elizabeth Cornell; and his brother, Craig Arthur Cornell and his family: wife Ava Cornell and their children, Kori McGael Anaya and her husband Florian Anaya and their children Jadon McGael and Esmae Nevaeh Anaya, Kamden Samuel Cornell, Skyler Emerson Cornell, and Chenoa Arthur Cornell, all of Albuquerque, NM. Lee attended the Albuquerque Academy and Manzano High School. He also attended the University of NM and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in University Studies as a returning student at the age of 48 with a concentration In Mathematics. Lee started his working career as a professional dancer. He danced at the Stardust and MGM Grand Hotels in Las Vegas, NV and was one of six dancers with Bobbie Gentry for about six years. From there he went into writing workshops for trainees at the Bank of America in San Francisco. Also, while in San Francisco, Lee completed the EST Training developed by Werner Erhard that brought to the forefront the ideas of transformation, personal responsibility, accountability and possibility. He later volunteered at the EST Headquarters in San Francisco for several years. Lee returned to his hometown of Albuquerque in the late 1980's and served on many healthcare committees including with NMAS (New Mexico Aids Services) and Aligning Forces for Quality which focus on improving health and healthcare in communities across New Mexico. Lee was also very involved in AA and NA groups for many years, often volunteering and chairing meetings. Lee was an accomplished cook and had perfected his own secret recipe for the best chocolate chip oatmeal cookies ever. He was also an avid reader and gardener. He gave of himself generously over the past seven years being his mother's live-in care taker following her successful recovery from a stroke and a bout with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2pm at Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living at 2801 Louisiana Blvd. N.E., Albuq., NM 87110, at Claremont, second street North of Menaul. EVANS, WILLIAM J. JR. Bill Evans, of Springfield, IL, was a loving family man, a musician, an economist, an adventurer, photographer, writer/poet, a professor and a two time Fulbright Scholar. Nicknamed "the Chancellor of Affection," his entire family flew into Albuquerque to let him know how much they loved him before he passed away peacefully with family on February 20, 2015. GRIEGO, PEDRO D. age 94, born in Manzano, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at home with his family at his side. Mr. Griego is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Dolores; children, Michael Griego, Robert Garner, and Elaine Marquez; his grandchildren, David Marquez and wife, Melissa, PJ Garner, Diana Marquez; great-grandchildren, Joshua Marquez, Marissa Marquez, Dezaray Garner, Deana Garner, and Julian Marquez; sister, Carmen Thompson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Griego was preceded in death by his son, Pedro Griego Jr.; grandson, Dennis Marquez; parents, Salvador and Maria Griego. Mr. Griego was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII, an honorary member of Labor Union Local 16. Mr. Griego played senior softball for the Barelas Senior Center. HANN, ALMA C. (SELBY) Age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Hahn and husband, Dave; son, Kenneth Selby; grandchildren, Steven Hahn and wife Sarah and Michael Hahn, Nicole Alma Selby, Martha Baldwin and husband Dr. Ivan Ortiz, Keith Baldwin, and James and Marcus Davalos; great- grandchildren, Leon Abrams, Ivan and Andres Ortiz, Brooke Baldwin, and Jacob; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends. Alma was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles F. Selby, Jr. and James H. Hann; granddaughter, Sarah Baldwin; siblings, G.W. Collinsworth, Roxie Adams, Myrtle Howard, Curtis Collinsworth, Leslie Collinsworth, Delphia Howard, Peachie Howard, and Clarence Collinsworth. She was born in 1921 in the hills of Wheelersburg, KY and attended Berea College. Alma moved to Newport News, VA during WWII to work in the shipyards. After the war, she attended Charles' Beauty School where she met her first husband, Charles. They moved to Albuquerque in 1948. Alma continued to work in the field of cosmetology and put Charles through business school at UNM. She dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren. In 1985, she married James H. Hann and they owned and managed several rental properties throughout Albuquerque. Alma loved attending to her garden and her beautiful expansive backyard. She enjoyed playing with a neighborhood bridge group. Alma always inquired about everyone's family and wanted to know how they were doing. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Keith Baldwin, James Davalos, Marcus Davalos, Steven Hahn, Michael Hahn and Brian Hughes. JONES, THEODIS JR. Theodis Jones, Jr. was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to his loving parents Theodis Jones Sr. and Leanna Rhodes on October 30, 1931. He was raised in the church and accepted Christ at a young age. He graduated from Merrill High School where he was class president and a member of the National Honor Society. In 1951 after high school, Theodis joined the Air Force where he traveled to many continents serving our country and retiring in 1971 as a Tech Sergeant. During his time in the military, he met the love of his life LaEtna McNeil of Natchez, Mississippi. They were married in Boston in 1961 and shared this holy bond that lasted for 53 glorious years. During this union they were blessed with four children, Michael L., Kenneth L., Phillip C. and Sandra D. (Jones) Holguin. In 1971 he retired from the Air Force in Fayetteville, NC, during that time the family moved back to Massachusetts. Ted worked for MITRE Corp. for 20 years. During this time he was elected to Who's Who among Students in "American Jr. Colleges" in recognition of Outstanding Merit Accomplishments as a student at Newbury Jr. College in the late 70's. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management at the University of Lowell in Lowell, MA. While living in Massachusetts, Bro. Jones was a member of St. John's Baptist Church and remained a contributing member while living in Albuquerque, NM. During his time at St. John's he was a trustee, an usher, choir member and chaired several committees. In 2005 the Jones' moved to Albuquerque, NM and joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. The first thing Bro. Jones joined was the Laymen Ministry. He then progressed on as a Trustee of the church where he soon became a part of the Finance Committee becoming the Benevolence Chair. He attended Sunday School on a regular basis and co-chaired the Pastor Search Committee. Bro. Jones also worked on the church by-laws committee and sang in the Male Chorus. Bro. Jones had a spirit that would light up a room, and whatever he did in his lifetime, he truly did it for the glory and honor of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. His Favorite song was "Precious Lord", and his favorite verse was Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."He was preceded in death by his parents Theodis Jones Sr. and Leanne Rhodes and one brother DeAutry Jones. He is survived by his loving wife LaEtna Jones, his sons, Michael L., of Lowell, MA, Kenneth L., of Hudson, NH, Phillip C., of Nashua, NH, his daughter, Sandra D. (Phillip) Holguin, of Albuquerque, NM. His grandchildren, Derek Tanner, Justin Jones, Sharee Jones, Michael Jones, II, Shauna Jones, Marina Partridge, Caitlyn Jones, Phillip Jones Jr, Jeremy Theodis Jones and Matthew Holguin. His great grandchildren, Jayonna Little, Jacoby Jones, Joshua Little, Quentin Theodis Jones and Jorel Thomas. His brothers, Daniel L., (Delia), Phillip J., (Glenda), Carlton L. KEMP, RALPH L. AKA "SPOT" Wonderful father and a great friend to many. Ralph Leroy Kemp died Saturday February 21, 2015 in Atlanta Georgia, with close friends by his side. Ralph was born to Doris and Elmer Kemp in La Junta, Colorado August 22, 1943. Ralph was raised in Albuquerque NM and worked his way through college as a member of SAE fraternity. He went on to graduate from the University Of New Mexico with a degree in English and Drama and Speech. Ralph earned his teaching certificate, although he never taught in the classroom he was very proud of this accomplishment. Ralph also served in the U.S. army from 1967 to 1968. He spent his career working for IBM in marketing and management development. Ralph was a bon vivant who enjoyed traveling abroad and experiencing other cultures. Yet he always made time to visit family and friends in Albuquerque twice a year, every year. Playing golf and dining out with friends and family is what he loved the most. Ralph enjoyed joking, old trivia, classic movies and politics, staying up into the late hours talking with friends and family. Ralph is survived by his daughter Robin Riekeman and son-in-law Russ Riekeman; granddaughter Luna Riekeman; and sister Brenda Lea Marsh. We will miss him here in New Mexico as will the casinos. Christmas will never be the same! In his memory, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

KING, ELMER Elmer Miller King, born July 9, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, died peacefully in his sleep Monday, February 23, 2015, with his beloved wife Jeanne by his side. They were married 62 years. Elmer was a research chemist who developed popular household products such as Cling Free and Soft Scrub. He was also a talented pianist who played with a Cleveland, Ohio dance band for many years and wrote, performed, and recorded his own music. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Emily King, his aunt Dorothy G. King, his brother Don King, and his son Daniel King. He is survived by his wife Jeanne (nee Bartsch); sister Marilyn King; daughter Mary Elizabeth King-Stokes and husband Craig; son Christopher King and wife Mary; daughter Martha Sullivan and husband Gary; daughter-in-law Sylvia King; grandchildren Hilary Stokes, Adam and Julie King, Keith, Kevin and Kyra Sullivan, and Seth McClaine; great-granddaughter Brooke Lyn Stokes-Gialouris; and his family at Sandia Springs. ROSSIGNOL, MARILYN Marilyn Rossignol lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer on February 22, 2015 at age 87. Born December 27, 1927 in Chicago Illinois, Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and graduated from Albuquerque High School. She and her husband Richard Rossignol Sr. founded Northeast Auto Electric in 1951. With her sons, the business continues to serve generations of customers. Marilyn was an avid gardener and fisherman and enjoyed camping and swimming. As the neighborhood historian, her vibrant energy made her yard a gathering place for all. Her beautiful intuitive green eyes will always be remembered by family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Richard, her father Frederick and mother Emma Raymond Broell, and sister Alberta Hamilton. Survived by her siblings Barbara Caughlin and Frederick Broell; children, son Richard Rossignol, Jr. and wife Connie, daughter Connie Callan and husband John, son Mark Rossignol and Susan Reidy; grandchildren Paul Rossignol and wife Lisa, Eve Rossignol, Bart Callan, Danelle Adams and husband Joseph; and the great-grandchildren, Lily and Lola Rossignol. TEAGUE, CHARLES FRANKLIN Charles was born on August 1, 1952 in San Jose, CA. Chuck as everyone knew him was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Beatrice Teague and sister Anna Babcock. Chuck is survived by wife Orlina Teague; sons Joseph Duran, Charles, Isaac, and Joshua Teague; daughters-in-law Ann Duran, Fabiola Teague, Saylene Juarez, Ashlee and Angela Teague; grandchildren Jose, Angelo, and Dominic Duran, Caeley, Ciara, Isaac, Elisia, Alizabeth, Joshua, Jenavecia, and Avery Anna Teague. On February 22, 2015 Chuck lost his battle to cancer. On this day we lost a loving and awesome husband, awesome father, and awesome grandfather. Chuck was well liked and loved by all his family and friends. He also was very respected and looked up to by many. He is going to be greatly missed.

WEBB, WALTER Walter Webb, age 87, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20th. He was born on Oct. 5, 1927 in Shippenville, PA, to Walter and Mable Webb. After serving in the US Army he returned to Pennsylvania and married the former Lawanda Aiken. They moved to Albuquerque in 1955 where Walter worked for ACF Industries before opening Webb Welding Service, which he owned and operated for more than 30 years. Walter was an expert welder and machinist. He taught evening welding classes at the Community College in the early 60's, and he was a member of the American Welding Society. Walt loved flying! He got his pilot's license and was a member of the Pinon Flyers Club. Walt had a quick mind and he loved to figure out how things worked. Walter is survived by his children Karen Foster, Bruce Webb, & Linda Hartsock; grandchildren Heather Campos, Melissa Nash, Heath Webb and Stacy Webb; great- grandchildren Jordyn Webb, Tyler Otero, Abigail Webb and Zachary Campos; brothers Jim Webb and Ray Webb; sister Lois Marie Runinger; and by his ex-wife Lawanda Strong. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna Webb, brother Carl Webb, and sisters Bernadine Garner, Irene Reed and June Horner. The family will have a casual visitation for friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28th, at the Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo N.E. Interment will follow on Monday, March 2, at 12:45 p.m. At the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. The Veteran's Hospital in Albuquerque is to be commended for the exceptional care they gave to Walter over the last several years.
