BERUBE, PATIENCE MARION Patience Marion Berube was born in Ludlow, Massachusetts on January 25, 1935. She entered Heaven's gates on February 23, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Llewellyn and Grace (McCarthy) Collins. Patience was united in marriage to Joseph R. Berube on June 22, 1963. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1993. They were married for 29 blissful years. On June 19, 1952 she graduated the prestigious Cathedral High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. Patience had an unwavering faith in God and was a devout member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, New Mexico. Over the years she graciously donated to several charitable events. The trees surrounding the Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery and Mount Carmel Catholic Church are a living testament to her kind and generous heart. Patience donated 50 of those trees in 1993. Patience is also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Collins. She is survived and will forever be remembered by her sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Valerie Berube of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Andrew Berube of Chandler, Arizona, Mark Berube of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and sister Barbara Gosselin of Mars Hill, Maine. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday February 26, 2015 at 9:00 A.M. at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, New Mexico. The Celebration of Mass will follow at 10:00 A.M. also at Our Lady of Mount Caramel Catholic Church. Father Lancaster will be officiating.

BLACK, JOANNE M. Age 67. Counseling psychologist Joanne M. Black, PhD, MSN, RNCS, passed away February 9, 2015, at her home in Albuquerque. Her sister Teresa Materio and two nieces of Atlantic City, NJ, survive her. CARTER, ANNA DANIELLE April 21, 1989 - February 11, 2015 Anna Danielle Carter (25) passed away suddenly in the early hours of Tuesday, February 11, 2015 in Mountain Ranch, CA. She was born in Sonora, CA to Brenda & Robert Carter. She was a loving daughter, known for her infectious smile, a young woman full of sunshine who could light up a room just by walking into it. Her laugh was contagious and she left a lasting impression on all who met her. She was known for her love of high heels and beautiful sense of fashion. Anna is survived by her mother Brenda Helland Carter of Albuquerque, NM; her father Robert Carter of Mokolumne Hill, CA; and brother Jacob Carter of Mokolumne Hill, CA. Also surviving her is her aunt Christina Bernardin (Michael); uncles Greg Helland (Carolyn) and William Helland Jr. (Karen); and cousins Tina Montoya, Loren Sorenson, Michael Helland, and Jeremy Helland. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Rudolf and Anna Keilwitz, grandparents Marlice D. Helland and William Helland, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter, Sr. Anna would have graduated in April with a degree in Natural Resources. She planned to become a park ranger. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and spending time with her extended family in California as well as the many friends who loved her. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

HANN, ALMA C. (SELBY) Age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Hahn and husband, Dave; son, Kenneth Selby; grandchildren, Steven and Michael Hahn, Nicole Alma Selby, Martha Baldwin and husband Dr. Ivan Ortiz, Keith Baldwin, and James and Marcus Davalos; great-grandchildren, Leon Abrams, Ivan and Andres Ortiz, Brooke Baldwin, and Jacob; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends. Alma was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles F. Selby, Jr. and James H. Hann; granddaughter, Sarah Baldwin; siblings, G.W. Collinsworth, Roxie Adams, Myrtle Howard, Curtis Collinsworth, Leslie Collinsworth, Delphia Howard, Peachie Howard, and Clarence Collinsworth. She was born in 1921 in the hills of Wheelersburg, KY and attended Berea College. Alma moved to Newport News, VA during WWII to work in the shipyards. After the war, she attended Charles' Beauty School where she met her first husband, Charles. They moved to Albuquerque in 1948. Alma continued to work in the field of cosmetology and put Charles through business school at UNM. She dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren. In 1985, she married James H. Hann and they owned and managed several rental properties throughout Albuquerque. Alma loved attending to her garden and her beautiful expansive backyard. She enjoyed playing with a neighborhood bridge group. Alma always inquired about everyone's family and wanted to know how they were doing. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with a reception to follow. JONES, THEODIS JR. Theodis Jones was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to his loving parents Theodis Jones Sr. and Leanne Rhodes on October 30, 1931. He was raised in the church and accepted Christ at a young age. He graduated from Merrill High School where he was class president and a member of the National Honor Society. In 1951 after high school, Theodis joined the Air Force where he traveled to many continents serving our country and retiring in 1971 as a Tech Sergeant. During his time in the military, he met the love of his life LaEtna McNeil of Natchez, Mississippi. They were married in Boston in 1961 and shared this holy bond that lasted for 53 glorious years. During this union they were blessed with four children, Michael L., Kenneth L., Phillip C. and Sandra D. (Jones) Holguin. In 1971 he retired from the Air Force in Fayetteville, NC, during that time the family moved back to Massachusetts. Ted worked for MITRE Corp. for 20 years. During this time he was elected to Who's Who among Students in "American Jr. Colleges" in recognition of Outstanding Merit Accomplishments as a student at Newbury Jr. College in the late 70's. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management at the University of Lowell in Lowell, MA. While living in Massachusetts, Bro. Jones was a member of St. John's Baptist Church and remained a contributing member while living in Albuquerque, NM. During his time at St. John's he was a trustee, an usher, choir member and chaired several committees. In 2005 the Jones' moved to Albuquerque, NM and joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. The first thing Bro. Jones joined was the Laymen Ministry. He then progressed on as a Trustee of the church where he soon became a part of the Finance Committee becoming the Benevolence Chair. He attended Sunday School on a regular basis and co-chaired the Pastor Search Committee. Bro. Jones also worked on the church by-laws committee and sang in the Male Chorus. Bro. Jones had a sprit that would light up a room, and whatever he did in his lifetime, he truly did it for the glory and honor of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. His Favorite song was "Precious Lord", and his favorite verse was Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." He was preceded in death by his parents Theodis Jones Sr. and Leanne Rhodes and one brother DeAutry Jones. He is survived by his loving wife LaEtna Jones; his sons, Michael L., of Lowell, MA, Kenneth L., of Hudson, NH, Phillip C., of Nashua, NH; his daughter, Sandra D. (Phillip) Holguin, of Albuquerque, NM. His grandchildren, Derek Tanner, Justin Jones, Sharee Jones, Michael Jones, II, Shauna Jones, Marina Partridge, Caitlyn Jones, Phillip Jones Jr, Jeremy Theodis Jones and Matthew Holguin. KING, ELMER Elmer Miller King, born July 9, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, died peacefully in his sleep Monday, February 23, 2015, with his beloved wife Jeanne by his side. They were married 62 years. Elmer was a research chemist who developed popular household products such as Cling Free and Soft Scrub. He was also a talented pianist who played with a Cleveland, Ohio dance band for many years and wrote, performed, and recorded his own music. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Emily King, his aunt Dorothy G. King, his brother Don King, and his son Daniel King. He is survived by his wife Jeanne (nee Bartsch); sister Marilyn King; daughter Mary Elizabeth King-Stokes and husband Craig; son Christopher King and wife Mary; daughter Martha Sullivan and husband Gary; daughter-in-law Sylvia King; grandchildren Hilary Stokes, Adam and Julie King, Keith, Kevin and Kyra Sullivan, and Seth McClaine; great-granddaughter Brooke Lyn Stokes-Gialouris; and his family at Sandia Springs. MITCHELL, KIMBERLY M. March 26, 1961- February 13, 2015 Kimberly (Kim) Mutz Mitchell, 53, of Albert, NM, passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 13, 2015. She was born in Raymondville, Texas on March 26, 1961 to Harvey Kurt Mutz and Billie Nell Mutz. A graduate of Sharyland High School (Mission, TX), class of 1979, Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in 1984. She met the love of her life, Terry Robert Mitchell, at TAMU in August 1979 and they married on July 27, 1985. Married for 29 years, the two lived in Albert on the Tequesquite Ranch. All those who encountered Kim were drawn to her vibrant, magnetic personality as evidenced by the countless friendships she created throughout her life. She was a loving rancher's wife and stern but nurturing mother who acted as executive assistant to her husband. With the grit of a cowgirl and the grace of a lady, she loved working cattle and conserving the land and heritage with Terry. Kim was actively involved with the Mesa Soil and Water Conservation District; New Mexico Association of Conservation Districts; El Llano Estacado Resource Conservation & Development Council; and New Mexico Association of Resource Conservation and Development. She was a member of the Mosquero Community Church as a devout Christian and prayer warrior who placed her faith and family in God's hands. She made it a point to pray every day for her three children as well as their future spouses and their lives together. Her enthusiasm for life was evident and her love of family foremost. Kim is survived by her loving husband, Terry R. Mitchell of Albert; her children, Tanner Mitchell of Albert, Ashleigh Mitchell of Grants, NM, and Zachary Mitchell of The United States Navy; mother, Billie Mutz of Mission, TX; her father and step-mother, Harvey and Minerva Mutz of Mission; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tracy and Brannon Brooke of New Braunfels, TX, Pamela and Paul Kemp of Gatesville, TX, and Tricia Brown of Mission; her step-brother, Alex Mutz of Corpus Christi, TX; her half-brother, Kurt Mutz of Lubbock, TX; and many beloved nieces and nephews. ROSSIGNOL, MARILYN Marilyn Rossignol lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer on February 22, 2015 at age 87. Born December 27, 1927 in Chicago Illinois, Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and graduated from Albuquerque High School. She and her husband Richard Rossignol Sr. founded Northeast Auto Electric in 1951. With her sons, the business continues to serve generations of customers. Marilyn was an avid gardener and fisherman and enjoyed camping and swimming. As the neighborhood historian, her vibrant energy made her yard a gathering place for all. Her beautiful intuitive green eyes will always be remembered by family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Richard, her father Frederick and mother Emma Raymond Broell, and sister Alberta Hamilton. Survived by her siblings Barbara Caughlin and Frederick Broell; children, son Richard Rossignol, Jr. and wife Connie, daughter Connie Callan and husband John, son Mark Rossignol and Susan Reidy; grandchildren Paul Rossignol and wife Lisa, Eve Rossignol, Bart Callan, Danelle Adams and husband Joseph; and the great-grandchildren, Lily and Lola Rossignol. SEPPONEN, SPENCER SHELDON Age 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died February 19, 2015 of a massive heart attack. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Petra; step-daughters, Elizabeth Cervantes, and Angel Lovato and husband Norman; daughter-in-law, Trudy Cervantes, all of Albuquerque; two grandsons, Austin Cervantes and Dallas Stafford and wife Britni; great-granddaughter, Solana; two cousins, Alan and Carol Bielski; and many wonderful neighbors and close friends including Peter Romero and Kathy Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Eino Sepponen; and step-son, Martin Cervantes. TRAMBLEY, MARGARITE M. "TILLIE" Age 87, of Albuquerque NM slipped her earthly bonds and passed to the Lord on February 16, 2015 as a result of prolonged illness. She was born on November 11, 1928 to the late Peter and Annie Trambley. Tillie was raised in Mora, NM and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Las Vegas NM. During her life as a loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, Tillie worked at many different types of jobs. In the early 1960's the family moved from Mora to Las Vegas, NM where she lived and worked until the late 1970's when she moved to Albuquerque to live with her twin sister and work in insurance industry until she retired. In her younger years she loved to do crafts and grow flowers. Tillie was a caring, considerate, fun loving mother who was kind and put others first. Everyone who met Tillie liked her; she brought joy to lives of those she met. Family members that preceded her in death were her parents, Peter and Annie Trambley, two brothers Pete and Fred, her twin sister, Ernestine and her 12 year old daughter, Elizabeth. Tillie has two surviving sisters, Celia Marie Sedillo and Mary Louise Trambley. Tillie has one son, Joseph Peter Trambley who resides in Florida with his wife Fern. Her grandson lives in Boston with his wife Kelly. Tillie has one nephew Robert Sedillo and four nieces Carol Ann Sedillo, Katrina Duran, Bernadette Trask and Cindy Moritomo. WHITMORE, ELMO JOHN Elmo John Whitmore III, 60, of Rio Rancho passed away Feb 13, 2015 after a short illness. Born Feb 1, 1955 he was the son of Elmo John Whitmore II and Stella Myrtis Huskkey Jones. He was predeceased by both his parents. He is survived by his second wife, Mary Whitmore, Rio Rancho, NM; son Jeremy Whitmore; and daughter Jennifer Savage, both from a previous marriage; a brother Tim Whitmore (Laura); and three sisters Bonnie Dixon (Larry), Denise Barrett (Tim), Colleen Duncan (Robert). John was a decorated veteran, having enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served for 20 years. John served during the Desert Storm campaign and was honorably discharged holding the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. Among his awards was the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Achievement Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. John was a long time member of the American Legion Post 118, Rio Rancho, and previously served as Commander. Funeral Services will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Thursday at 1:30pm followed by a memorial at 4:30pm the American legion Post 118, 1500 Barbara Lp, Rio Rancho.
