BURNHAM, TERRY Age 59, died on November 8, 2014. He is survived by his wife Myrna; his siblings, Teresa Harris and husband Tommy, Bob Burnham and wife Faye, Marti Neeley and husband Billy; sister-in-law Anania Perez and husband John; and many other family and friends. Terry was born and raised in Arkansas, served in the United States Air Force, Persian Gulf Conflict, and retired after 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. Terry loved to travel around the world with his wife. Services will be Thursday, November 13, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. till service time to pay respects. BURSUM, EARLE POWELL Age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Big Spring, TX on April 1, 1934 to Earl Baylos and Jane (Bounds) Powell. Earle has resided in Socorro since 1966. Before moving to Socorro, Earle graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1958 with a Bachelor's Degree in History. On December 27, 1958, she married her best friend, Holm Olaf Bursum III. Earle then stayed home for many years, raising her children along with staying involved with many organizations around Socorro and the State of New Mexico. She was a member of the Museum of NM Board of Regents for 12 years, a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Socorro, the Lew Wallace Chapter - Daughter of American Revolution, The Young Republicans, and the Jr. League of Albuquerque. Earle was a "Golfers Golfer". She knew all the ins and outs of the sport and served as a Director of the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association - District 2. She enjoyed playing, and also officiating. There was not a rule or regulation, Earle did not know. She and Holm played many couples tournaments, and yes, she carried Holm through most of them. Together they won many championships. Earle's Legacy will live on with the El Camino Real International Heritage Center Foundation. She was instrumental with the planning, development and building the Heritage Center. She proudly dedicated 12 years and served as an advisor and was the historical "librarian" for her beloved gift shop at the Center. Earle also left her mark at the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Socorro. The Church held a soft spot in her heart. Her generous patronage was dedicated to the stained glass window that is still in the church today. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edgar Lay Powell, and her beloved dog, Bandit. Earle is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Holm; her loving children, Holm O. "Cuatro" Bursum IV; Elizabeth "Sissy" Bursum Spencer and husband, Ben; Julia Jane Bursum; and Michael Earl Bursum and wife, Loretta; her nephew, Edgar Lay Powell II; niece, Majel Lee Powell Fones; and many other loving relatives and close friends. Earle will also be greatly missed by her dogs, Par and Oscar. She will live on in the hearts of her dear grandchildren, whom she adored, Holm O. "Cinco" Bursum V, Bruno and Andrea Aguilar; Caroline, Anne and Ben Jr. Spencer; Matthew and Jack McNaney; and Katherine and Samantha Bursum. DUDDING, DIANA M. Beloved mother and trusted friend, Diana M. Dudding, age 68, passed away November 6, 2014 after a year long battle with cancer. She was born in Franklin, WI and was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for 40 years. She spent her life increasing the happiness of others through her words and her deeds. She was truly a child of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Cecilia Kranz; her sister, Ursula Heinz; two brothers, Alderich and Roger Kranz; and her husband, Richard Dudding. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Danielle and Ron Welch Sr.; her son and wife, Don "Krunch" and Karen Schmitz; three grandchildren: Ron Welch Jr., Desiree Adams and husband Alton Adams Jr., and Alison Schmitz; one great- grandchild, Estella Welch. She is also survived by her sister, Adeline Flintrop; brothers, Dennis Kranz and Fred Kranz, and sister-in-laws Twyla Kranz and Patricia Kranz. EGLIN, FREDERICK IRVING III U.S. ARMY, RETIRED Frederick Irving Eglin III "Fred", 54, an Albuquerque resident since 2009, passed away peacefully, October 24, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Major Frederick Irving Eglin Jr. and Faye E. Tucker, and his grandparents, Lt. Colonel Frederick Irving Eglin and Mary Lucille Eglin, Aunt Jane Eglin Camblin and brother, Heber Benton Tucker. He is survived by his brother Karl Anthony Eglin and wife Samantha of Rio Rancho; brother Eugene Eglin Bingham of Lipan, Texas; sister Juana Hiros and husband Bob of Birmingham; nieces, Amechele Toups and husband Trey of Birmingham, Kathryn Faye Eglin of Eugene, Bryanna McCloskey of Rio Rancho; nephews, Adam Colvin of Birmingham, Benjamin Colvin and wife Andrea of Birmingham, Sheldon McCloskey of Rio Rancho; great-nieces Riley Toups, Taylor Toups, Dylan Toups and Reagan Colvin of Birmingham; great-nephew Weston Colvin of Birmingham; cousins Patrick Camblin of Oviedo, Dr. Nolia Brandt and husband Bill of Tallahassee, and Erin Levin of Tallahassee, whose mother, Jane Eglin, was the daughter of Lt. Colonel Eglin and Mary Lucille Eglin. Fred was United States Army, Retired and along with his father was the namesake of his grandfather, for whom Eglin AFB, FL was named. He was a student of military history and loved reading the Bible. His favorite writer was Edgar Allan Poe. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at NewLife, 2701 American Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, with Pastor Alan Brooks, officiating. KEY, JANE Jane Key, age 96, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was born in Madison, Indiana, the oldest daughter of Leota and Wilburn Mickel. She was delivered by her grandfather, Dr. George Denny. She grew up in Indiana and moved to Albuquerque in 1949 with her husband, Perry Key. Jane and her husband Perry were married for 76 years, and in all that time, they were rarely apart. They were long-time members of Trinity Methodist Church, as well as Life Members of the National and Chaparral Chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association. Together, with their family and friends, they traveled more than 150,000 miles in their motorhome, all over the United States. They visited every state except for Hawaii and Minnesota. Jane was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Perry; and her four children: Perry Key and his wife, Connie, Paulette Allen and her husband, Jim, Sally Cawley and her husband, Paul, and Denny Key and his wife, Carol. She is also survived by one sister, Emy Lou Whalen; one brother, Joe Mickel; seven grandchildren; and ten great- grandchildren. Jane was a wonderful, quiet woman and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. MARTINEZ, DAVID S. age 72, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 10, 2014. PICKERING, JOHN M. (JACK) John M. Pickering (Jack), age 98, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 20, 2014 in Rio Rancho. Son of Maylin Joseph and Nell Pickering (nee Pontz). He was the beloved husband of the late Gudrun Gisela (Gundi) Pickering and brother of the late William B. Pickering and the late Emilie Brandhorst. He is survived by his sons David and Philip and by his grandchildren Bryan and Emmi. RIVERA, ELAINE Age 56, of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Elaine is survived by her parents, David & Eleanor Villanueva; son Brian, his spouse Jacqueline; her twin daughters "sisters" Jessica and Erica; brothers Rick, wife Theresa, Davy, Lawrence; sisters, Phyllis, Charlene, spouse Felipe; her grandchildren, Lil Norman, Alberto, Amajahnay, Laila, Alexia, Brian Jr., Raylynn, Armani, Jude; her nieces and nephews; special aunts and uncles; many cousins and many friends. Our Elaine did everything and anything for anyone and everyone. She always had lots to say. We love and miss you always, you are now our guardian angel. SCOTT, MADELINE Madeline was born October 28, 1930, in Reydon, Oklahoma, to Ebe and Lola Bowman, and spent her childhood in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She met Gordon Wyndall Scott in the summer of 1951, while working as the evening supervising nurse at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. They were married in Clovis, New Mexico on September 14, 1951. Madeline was known for the love she shared with all, especially her family, her culinary talents, particularly Persian cuisine, her work in the church both in the United States and abroad, her mastery of the Persian language, and her unswerving devotion to her husband, Gordon. Through the years, Madeline created beautiful needlework pillows and hand stitched quilts, which she generously shared with her children and grandchildren. Madeline completed her nursing degree at Amarillo College in 1951 and later earned a Bachelor's degree in University Studies from the University of New Mexico in 1996. Madeline shared her life with Gordon and their children across the world over their 63 years of married life: from Texas until 1959 (Amarillo, Pampa, and Houston), where Madeline raised the family while Gordon studied and began practicing medicine; to Loring Air Force Base in Maine from 1956 to 1958, where Gordon was a physician for the Air Force; to Rasht, Iran from 1959 to 1963, where Madeline and Gordon were Presbyterian medical missionaries, Madeline home-schooled their daughter and older son and participated in the Iranian Women's Club; to Albuquerque, New Mexico from 1964 to 1985, where Gordon became a board certified general surgeon and then ran a private medical practice with Madeline's assistance; to Tulia, Texas from 1985 to 2012, where they established a family medical practice and later retired; and finally back to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the spring of 2012, where Madeline endured Alzheimer's disease at home, with the loving care and support of Gordon, their children, and many others, especially Dr. Margaret Vining, Dawn Schraeder, and Indira Spiess of Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice. Madeline was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Cleo Bowman, Tinker Erwin, and Virginia Ledbetter; and one brother, Bill Bowman. Survivors include husband, Gordon Scott of Albuquerque; brother, E.B. Bowman and wife, Dessie of San Antonio, Texas; children and spouses, all of Albuquerque, son, Tom Scott and wife, Tina; daughter, Betty Glover and husband, George, and son, Dan Scott and wife, Catherine; ten grandchildren, Vicky, Crystal, Kyle, Nicole, Meredith, Greg, Lauren, George Jr., Matthew, and Sean; three great-grandchildren, Aria, Amelie, and Mia; and several nieces and nephews. SHRIVER, BRUCE E. age 79, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014. He was born on September 13, 1935. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He will be remembered as a well read, well- educated man; he was a contractor, and an excellent gunsmith who loved his guns. Mr. Shriver was an avid Nascar fan, and enjoyed working with wood, building birdhouses including small church birdhouses with stained glass windows, and he also made Christmas ornaments from gourds. He is survived by his wife Elinor; his son Gorden and his wife Khoi; two grandsons Alexander and Nicholas; and his sister Jill Patterson and her husband Larry; he is also survived by his friends who meant so very much to him. Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Monteray Baptist Church located at 12501 Lomas Blvd. NE. VIGIL, GUADALUPE Guadalupe Vigil, born in Puerto de Luna, NM on July 25, 1927 to Antonio Sandoval and Candida Sandoval-Maestas, died peacefully in her home Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Vivian Vigil and Rachel Cannon; sisters, Petra Lucero and Miquela Dodge; and two brothers, Jose and Eduardo Sandoval. She is survived by Juan Sandoval and his wife, Isabell; Jesus and his wife, Agueda; her sister, Victoria Line; two sons, Joseph Van Vigil and Vincent Vigil, and his wife, Teslin; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Guadalupe was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish for many years.
