CALCAGNO, SALVATORE Age 96, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed from his life on Sunday, October 26, 2014. He came to Rio Rancho from Deer Park, NY in April of 1975. He is preceded in passing by his wife of 61 years, Mary. He is survived by his three children, Constance DeCerbo of Kings Park, NY, Tom Chappell of San Diego, CA, Paul Calcagno of Rio Rancho, NM; three grandsons, Damian (Lindsay) DeCerbo, Jason (Amy) DeCerbo, Anthony (Kristen) DiCerbo; five great-grandsons, Mason, Caleb, Blake, Cody and Austin. He served in the US Army from 1941 through 1945, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant in the CBI Theater. A very civic minded man, Sal was a life member in the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department, Deer Park, Long Island, NY since 1953. He served on the original Rio Rancho Honor Guard, and was a 61 year member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 5890 in Rio Rancho. He will be missed. EKERN, MARY Born in Belen, NM on January 29, 1920 and passed into the loving arms of God our Father Sunday, October 26, 2014. Mary is survived by her husband, Bryce M. Ekern; her daughter, Pauline L. Chenette and husband Frank; grandson, Mark Chenette and wife Holly; granddaughter, Merilee Nelson and husband Neal; great grandson, Neil Altomare and wife Perri; great granddaughters, McKenna and Isabella Chenette; brother, Eloy Romero; sisters, Loren Salas and Chris Radosevich; sister-in-law, Geneva Ekern and family, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Leslie Dubois; sisters, Balconida Tafoya and Tomasita Trujillo. She was a member of the Church of the Risen Savior for many years. Mary's greatest love was her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and visiting with her sisters Loren and Chris. FARINO, LOUISE Louise Farino passed away peacefully on October 17, 2014. She was born in Brooklyn , NY on May 26, 1927. Preceded in death by her husband, Catello Farino, she was a loving mother to son, Anthony Farino, and his wife, Debbie, and daughter, Lisa Nowlin, and her late husband, Mike. She leaves behind four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Louise worked steadily her whole life and retired at age 85. HAASE, ANTHONY PHILLIP Age 24, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was born in Gilroy, CA on March 1, 1990 to Phil and Cheri (Dustin) Haase. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beatrice Dustin; and grandfather, Bob Haase. Anthony is survived by his wife, Nichole Haase of Rio Rancho, NM; parents, Phil and Cheri Haase; sister, Wendy Haase of San Diego, CA; brother, Nick Haase of Rio Rancho, NM; grandmother, Sandy Haase of Goodyear, AZ; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ron and Debbie Hetes; sister-in-law, Jade Hetes; brother-in-law, Michael Hetes; and nephews, Luke and Jagger. Anthony graduated from Rio Rancho High School in 2008. While at RRHS he was their star pitcher for the baseball team, taking them to their first state championship in 2007. He received a scholarship to Cochise Junior College and was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 2010. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Anthony was a generous, kind and compassionate person, he received many compliments from fellow officers and citizens. Above all he was a loving husband, Nichole's soul mate. MONTANO, MARCY C. Age 73, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents. MOORE, NANCY L. Nancy Lee Moore, 83, of Peoria, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Hawthorne Manor Court at Liberty Village in Peoria. She was born May 19, 1931 in Chicago, Il, the daughter of Percy and Mable Elston Moore. Her family lived a short while in Monmouth, IL but eventually moved to Peoria, IL where Nancy graduated from Woodruff High School in 1949. Immediately following graduation, Nancy enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. During that period she was assigned to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. She rose to the rank of E5-Staff Sergeant. After her military service, Nancy worked for Pacific Bell Telephone in Los Angles, California, achieving the position of Second Level Manager. In 1976, Nancy retired to Albuquerque, NM, where other family members resided. In 2006 to present, Nancy enjoyed her return to her hometown of Peoria. Nancy is survived by Joan Keith, her partner of 21 years; a nephew, Richard (Jimette) Beil of Peoria, IL; a great-niece, Jennifer Beil; two great-great-nephews, Sam and Nick Wiese; and one great-great-niece, Erica Wiese, all of Washington, IL; a nephew, Tom Moore of Beverly Hills, FL; a great-nephew, Michael (Veronica) Dolittle of Rio Rancho, NM; a great-niece, Karen Odom; great-great-nephew, Ryan Odom of Colorado Springs, CO; and nephew-in-law, Joe Stiegler, of Albuquerque, NM; as well as a large extended family and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a brother, a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law and a niece. MORAN, ANNETTE Age 54, a resident of Albuquerque since 1987, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 25, 2014 with her family by her side. She is survived by her children, Kathlene Keever and husband, Donald, Timothy Moran and wife, Carlene, Robert Moran and wife, Ariane, and Andrew Moran and wife, Nichole; six grandchildren, Landon, Taya, Kiley, Savannah, Alia, and Aidan; parents, John and Ailene Wade; siblings, Bruce Wade and wife, Star, Karen McAllister and husband, Barry, Cheryl Farmer and husband, Timothy, Michael Wade and wife, Laura; and numerous other relatives and friends. Annette was born in 1960 in Wabash, IN and graduated from Oak Park - River Forest High School in Oak Park, IL, Class of 1978. After moving to Albuquerque she attended PIMA where she received her certification in 1988 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked for several health care facilities. Annette always put others before herself, and loved and served her patients professionally. She was very friendly and outgoing and never met a stranger. She lived for her children and grandchildren. Annette was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. NOEL, JOHN JOSEPH DAVID At the age of 94, John passed away quietly in his home in Corrales, NM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was born in Sterling Colorado on November 30, 1919, to Chauncey Keen Noel & Pauline Catherine Noel-Schaefer, the eldest of seven children. He was preceded in death by his father Chauncey Keen, his mother Pauline Catherine, sister Eloise (Simpleman), sister Mary Margaret (Burden), sister Clara Jo (Gow), Bernadette (Noel), wife Opal Dean and daughter Sharon Lea (Cole). John is survived by his daughter, DeAnna Hare of Albuquerque, NM; a sister Pauline Catherine Ranalo of Hartshorne, OK; a brother James Thomas Noel of San Diego, CA; as well as special friend Anita Jo Berry of Corrales, NM. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great- great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. RHYNE, ROBERT LEON SR. "BOB" Age 94, died suddenly on October 25, 2014, because it was his time, not from any specific illness. Born February 29, 1920 in Bowie, Texas, he was the only child of Grace and Lonnie Rhyne, was raised in Brownfield, Texas, and lived in Albuquerque since 1953. He proudly served our country in World War II as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, 2nd division, where he was in combat in the South Pacific campaigns of Guadalcanal, Tulagi, Tarawa, Saipan, and Guam. He received an Honorable service button and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of Lodge #60 of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of New Mexico, the Veterans of Foreign Wars 401, the Jerry Murphy Chapter 381 of the Marine Corps League, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, and the Marine Corps Association of the 2nd Marines. He worked in the auto parts business from 1946 until he retired at the age of 92 in 2012. He was with CARQUEST Auto Parts for 35 years, where his coworkers were his best friends. He is survived by his son, Robert L. Rhyne Jr, MD and beloved daughter-in-law, Irina Rhyne. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Bob's greatest joy was dealing with his customers and he will be missed by many. Services will be Thursday, October 30, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. ROSS, LILA F. Lila Franklin Ross, 89, passed away peacefully October 27th in her daughter's home. Lila lived her entire adult life in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, the Reverend Cannon Edmund P. "Ned" Ross and her son-in-law Robert "Jeff" Kelly. She is survived by brother Major George E. Franklin, Ret. of Albuquerque; children Lynn Dee Kelly, Steve Ross and wife Angel Wells Ross, Georgianne Norris, Robin Jakino and husband Mike Jakino, and Leslie Burgess and husband Bob; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great- grandchildren. Lila studied voice at UNM, sang in a USO Trio during WWII, was an accomplished pianist and church soloist for more than 40 years. At UNM she was an Alpha Chi Omega and stayed active as an alumna. Music was a key part of her life and she passed her love of music onto her family. She was an active member of Sigma Alpha Iota musical sorority. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 3:00 pm at St. John's Cathedral. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to the charity of your choice in honor of Lila.

THOMPSON, CORINNE Corinne (Corrie) Kriege Thompson passed away on October 26, 2014, at home after a lengthy illness. Her husband, James T. Thompson, preceded her in death in May, 2014. She is survived by her son, Mark of Albuquerque, and daughter Barbara and her partner Jo Vaughan, of Greenville, TX. Born in Toledo, OH, she moved to Albuquerque to pursue her education at UNM. She pledged Chi Omega sorority (her "second family") and was a part of that group for 62 years. She graduated with a business degree in 1954. Afterwards, she worked for Sandia Laboratories, frequently accompanying scientists to atomic test sites. She wished to be remembered for her community involvement. In addition to activities with Chi Omega, she bowled with the Panhellenic League for nearly 30 years, volunteered with the Albuquerque Museum of Natural History, and worked on many projects with Central United Methodist Church. She loved playing bridge with her friends and sorority sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE. WELLER, ROBERT RANDALL Robert R. Weller, a lifelong Albuquerque resident, passed away of natural causes on the morning of October 27, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Virginia Newman Weller; his two daughters, Felicia Weller and Leslie Weller; his mother, Mildred Weller; sister, Sondra Weller; brother-in-law, Allan Bass; nieces, Jade Bass and Jenna Bass; great-nephew, Dalton Bass-Lundy; mother-in-law, Esther G.
