ARAGON, ROBERT W. "BOB" age 59, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away July 23, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father Liberato, brothers Ronald and Paul. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kalani; daughter Angela; grandsons Jacob and Martin Sedillo; mother and step-father Helen and Luis Montoya; brother Phillip; sister Yolanda Cole (Robert); in-laws John and Rose Martinez; several sisters and brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Max. A Mass will be held at 9:00 am Friday, August 1st at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, Catholic Church, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. BORREGO, RAMONA S. Age 93, journeyed home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2014. She passed away peacefully with family members present. A life-long resident of New Mexico, Ramona was born in Espanola, NM on September 3, 1920. She has lived in Albuquerque since 1948. After graduating from high school she attended two years of Business College in Albuquerque. Ramona was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jose G; her parents, Carlos and Amalia Salazar; and her son, Rudy. She is survived by her sons, Robert S. Borrego and wife, Bertha, Joe H. Borrego and wife Jill; daughter, Carol Locklin and husband Gary; two sisters, Molly Herrera and Yosina Archuleta; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Ramona will be remembered for being a generous and loving person-giving of herself at any time to her husband, family and friends. Celebration of her life will begin Thursday, July 31, 2014, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd., NE followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers are her grandchildren, Ernest, Matthew, Gina, Lawrence, Isaac, Nicole, Adrian, and Tim. BRITT, ROSE MARIE Age 78, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 25, 2014. She will be remembered for her deep love for her family to whom she dedicated her life. Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Britt, in 2003. BUTLER, JAMES "JAMIE" Age 46, passed away tragically on Thursday, July 17, 2014. He was born James Jefferson Butler, III on May 18, 1968 to James Jefferson "Jeff" and Barbara (Warren) Butler in Tulsa, OK. Jamie will be remembered as a kind and loving soul who could not pass up the opportunity to help anyone in need and he always saw the good in everyone. He graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Psychology and from Texas Women's University with a B.S. in Nursing. Jamie's many accomplishments included becoming an Eagle Scout, a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity at the University of Texas, was a director with Forward Steps Adventure Therapy Program, Instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates in Portland, ME, ER Nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX, ER Nurse at UNMH in Albuquerque, NM, and Base Manager and Flight Nurse CareFlight 5 Medical Helicopter. Jamie lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed all sports that included water, repairing cars and bikes, and was a master of everything. He loved all creatures - great and small, collecting flashlights, knives and firearms. He was a voice of reason for his family, friends and colleagues. One of his favorite sayings that he included in his emails was a quote by J.L. Picard, "Seize the moment... live now! Make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again." Most importantly, he loved his wife of almost four years, Pearl Yeast, of Albuquerque, NM. He is, also survived by his parents, Jeff & Barbara W. Butler of Santa Fe, NM; brother, Santa Fe Police Department Sgt. Nico Butler and his wife, Melissa (Gonzales) Butler, and their children, Isaac Gonzales & Abran Jacob Butler, also of Santa Fe, NM; loving friends, Dina Rabanal of Albuquerque, NM, and Juli-Kay Baumann of Arrington, TN; and his beloved dog, Cleopatra. Bea Warren was Jamie's grandmother who was an outstanding nurse where she proudly served the US Navy during WWII, and was, also a Red Cross Disaster Nurse. Bea and Jamie had a very close bond. She passed away in 1989 and an endowed scholarship fund was created in her memory. This endowed scholarship fund has been renamed The Jamie Butler & Bea Warren Nursing Scholarship at Texas Christian University. CLARK, MEG Meg (Graham) Clark, age 81, of Rio Rancho, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh in 1932, Meg moved to Rio Rancho in 1991. Meg was an independent and strong woman who made many friends over the years with her unfailing ability to greet all she met with a smile or a joke. She was the cherished mother of four: Joseph (Carey) Clark, of North Branch, MI; Diane Kroulik, of Madison Heights, MI; Jean (William) Dupuie of Woodhaven, MI; and the late Susan Clark of Rio Rancho, NM. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Michigan at a later date.

COLEMAN, JOSEPH RAYMOND Age 56, went to join our Lord on July 21, 2014. Joseph served his country in the US Air Force and finished his career with the NM Air National Guard with the Tacos and served in Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Coleman; his wife, Markette; his niece, Monique Anderson and his nephew, Gabriel Coleman. He is survived by his daughter, Fay Lynn Coleman; his mother, Dolores Coleman; sister, Sharon Coleman and brother, Robert Coleman and his wife, Vivian all of Albuquerque; nieces, Rebecca and husband Johnny Luevano and Bridgette and husband Lucas Arguello and numerous family and friends. DAVIDSON, SOPHIA GENEVA (GENE) (1925-2014) Sophia Geneva (Gene) Davidson passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was the daughter of George and Ruby Croft. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, she moved to Manhattan, Kansas after marrying Loren Irving Davidson (Dave) on November 6, 1943. She raised her only child, Toni, in Manhattan and opened a licensed Day Care Center in her home so she could be a stay-at-home Mom. Gene soon gained a reputation as the most desirable place for parents to leave their children while they worked and always had a waiting list. In 1971 she cut back from seven children to five so she could help take care of her granddaughter, Tamara, while Toni worked. Gene and Dave retired and moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1991 to be close to Toni and then followed her back to Albuquerque in 2006. Gene is survived and was adored by her daughter, Toni Fleisher and son-in-law Mark; her granddaughter, Tamara Selimovic and husband Alan; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Payton, and Jaxson Selimovic who loved their Great Grandma so much; sister, Lucille Oxley and husband Ed; niece, Sonja Hill and her two children Breanna Corpus Borce and Shayna Rians; nephews, Kenny (and Linda), Eddie (and Maria), and Michael Oxley; the wonderful caregivers who helped made her life easier over the past five years, and her precious dog Oreo. We all will miss her so. She was always generous, kind-hearted, loving, and filled with positive thoughts and encouragement for those around her. EVANS, FUMI Fumi (Shioma) Evans, aged 78, died peacefully on Sunday morning, July 27, 2014 at her daughter's home, after a brief struggle with cancer. Fumi was born October 13th, 1935, in Kian, Okinawa, the daughter of Kamae and Nto Shioma. In 1961, She married the love of her life John V. Evans Jr., Fumi truly enjoyed archery and golfing with her husband. She learned Okinawan dancing later in life and it became her new passion. Fumi was a member of Okinawa Kenjinkai. In addition to raising her husband's three sons, John, Larry and Gary they also raised 5 daughters, Anita, Betty, Elizabeth, Nancy and Kathy. Fumi is survived by her sister who still resides in Okinawa, Japan and her daughters, Anita, Nancy and Kathy. Her husband's sons, John and Larry. GONZALES, LOU M. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and animal lover, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2014 at her home at age 85. She was born Guadalupe Maria Marquez in Santa Rita, NM on October 27, 1928. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph C. Gonzales. GRIEGO, LEE ARNOLD Age 62, a lifelong resident of Carnuel. The most loving husband, caring father and amazing grandfather, completed his life's journey way to early on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He will be greeted in heaven by his parents, Rafael L. Griego and Constancia Griego. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; children, Ralph Griego, Vicente (Karen), Carlos and Levana, Joleen and Selso and Tanya (Jacob); 14 grandchildren; brother, Dino Griego (Ruth); sisters, Gerry Garcia (Felipe), Lupe Millilgan, Nelda Armenta (Alfred). He loved to dance at the fiestas. He was an abuelo and for many years as a danzante. He will be greatly missed by many. GUZMAN, JOSE (JOE) ANTONIO Age 92, of Albuquerque and Elephant Butte, NM, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2014. Jose was born November 1, 1921 in Delagua, CO to Pedro and Domingo Guzman. In 1937 he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and he served again in 1941. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1944 where he served on the USS Clarion River LSMR 409 until 1946. After leaving the Navy he attended Trinidad Junior College where he earned an Electronics Degree. Upon completion of his degree he began teaching electronics at the College. In 1957 during an employment opportunity fieldtrip with his students, he was offered and accepted a position at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque as an Electronics Technician. While at Sandia he decided to pursue his Bachelors Degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. At a college dance in Fort Collins Jose met Alice Summers who was wearing a red dress. They were married on June 11, 1960 in Bowbells, ND. During the early years of their marriage Jose continued to travel to Fort Collins to complete his degree while Alice stayed in Albuquerque with their first two daughters Amy and Mona. The couple had two more daughters Laura and Carmen. Jose retired from Sandia in 1986 after over 28 years of service. Jose was an avid deep sea fisherman making semiannual trips to Mexico for most of his life. He shared his love of boating with his family, spending many weekends water skiing at Elephant Butte behind the "4 Sisters". While at home in Albuquerque the majority of his free time was spent in the garage with friends working on cars and repairing broken electronics. At 92 years of age, he is preceded in death by many of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Alice Guzman of Albuquerque; daughters Amy Husarich, Mona Ellis, Laura Lang and Carmen Smith; brother Pete Guzman; sister Blanche Bressan; eight grandsons; and one granddaughter. Friends are invited to attend a 1:00 PM Rosary followed by a 1:30 PM Mass on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. He will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.

JARAMILLO, CONSUELO T. Danced into God's eternal love on Saturday, July 26th. Born on July 20, 1924 to Guadalupe Montano and Anastacio Trujillo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Arturo and earlier by her parents. Our fiesty and full of life mother leaves behind five feisty and loved children to rejoice in her 90 years of life. Prudence Atkins, Art Jaramillo (Patricia), Elizabeth Jaramillo-Dalton, Theresa Miller (Randy) and Conny Sena (Jose Felix) ; grandchildren, Lisa, Clay, Joshua, Marisol, Tasha, Karisa and Angela; her great-grandchildren Anthony, Taizia, Emily, Luz, Johanni, Brandon, Jayden, Aidan, Sinclaire and Althea; sisters Angy and Gloria; sisters-in-law Maclovia and Mercy. Mama knew no strangers and her passion in life was her love of New Mexico and Mariachi music which we believe sustained her as she navigated through the darkness of dementia. We all marveled at her zest for life. She loved Bernalillo and its wonderful people. She was devoted to San Lorenzo and the Matachines; dancing the "La Promesa" dance yearly with great anticipation which was heart warming. KECK, LEON J. Leon J. Keck, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, slipped peacefully from this life in his home on Sunday morning, July 27, 2014. He had been under hospice care for several weeks after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Leon is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lois Kuhn Keck; daughter, Joan Lamunyon Sanford and partner, Sami Wolf of Albuquerque, and Joan's children, Matthew Leon Richardson and Kristina Lynn Romero (Richardson), & great-grand daughter, Aurora Marley Romero; daughter, Laura Beth Gallaway and husband, Scott of Fairview, TX, and their children, Scott Austin and Glynn Ellen; son, Leon Jason Keck and wife, Deborah (Rivera) and their children, Leon Alexander and Reece Mitchell of Arroyo Grande, CA; sister, Marilyn Clinesmith and Clay; and brothers; Henry Keck and Marilyn Ruth, Joe Keck and Donna, and Thomas Keck and Margaret (deceased). He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Faith (LaMunyon) Keck. Leon was born in Fairview, Oklahoma, on February 24, 1930. He graduated from Fairview High School, where he lettered in football and was the first in his family to attend college at Northwestern Oklahoma College on a football scholarship. Leon's college studies were interrupted in 1950 when he enlisted in the U.S. Army to serve in the Korean War. In 1953, he resumed his college studies at Oklahoma State University on the GI bill and earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering. In 1956, he moved to Albuquerque where he worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 36 years. In 1958, he met Lois and they were married in January of 1959. Leon earned his M.S. in Engineering at the University of New Mexico. He played the bagpipes with the Ballut Abyad Shrine Pipes and Drums, was a black diamond skier, avid golfer and played duplicate bridge both online and at the Duke City Bridge Club. Leon left a legacy of wisdom, humor and love of family and will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. KISHBAUGH, MINNIE C. passed from this life on July 24, 2014 surrounded by family members. Minnie was born to Walter Scott Cragle and Blanche Hontz Cragle in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, and had a happy childhood there with her eleven brothers and sisters. She married Richard (Dick) Kishbaugh in November of 1941. She is survived by her husband of 72 plus years, Dick Kishbaugh; her son, R. Wayne Kishbaugh and wife Robin; daughter, Susan Magditz and husband Roy; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Minnie was always cheerful and loved children. Her interests included crocheting, cooking and gardening. Since suffering a stroke in 2000, she lived a quiet life in her home, enjoying frequent family visitors. ORTIZ, MANUEL ANTONIO Manuel Antonio Ortiz, born on 11/20/30 in Progresso, NM he joined our Lord and Savior on July 16, 2014 at 1:11am in Antioch, California after his battle with lung cancer. Manuel is survived by his children, Fernanda and Dean Harmon, Gladys and Juan Robledo, Richard and Sherri Ortiz, Nina Ortiz, Phillip and Eva Ortiz, Gerald and Diane Ortiz, Patrick and Corina Ortiz and Mitchell Romero; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; brother and best friend Delfinio Ortiz; brothers, Eddie, and Rito Ortiz; sisters, Frances Garley, Dahlia Tapia, Alice Rivera, Mary Corona, Melba Carter-Garcia, Mary Garcia, and Ramona Ortiz. PLANER, HAROLD "HARRY" age 87, resident of Albuquerque since 1968, born on April 8, 1927 in Washington D.C. to Erick D. and Jane Planer, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marciana "Marcy"; daughter, Donna Sedillo and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Alex Fish, Thomas Sedillo, and Amber Sedillo; great-granddaughter, Trinity Fish; and sisters, AnnaMae O'Donnoghue and Mary Newton, both of Maryland. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force he and his wife moved to Albuquerque where he worked for and later retired from the U.S. Postal Service. The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice at Lovelace downtown for their caring services during Mr. Planer's final days.
