HERRING, ROSE ANNE 'ABILENE' was born on March 22, 1946 to Maude Rose Herring and Milton Park (M.P.) Herring in Cisco, Texas. She went to meet Jesus at the well "of Living Water" on September 4, 2013 at 6:15 PM with her adored niece, Brhianon, guiding her hand. She will be extremely missed by her father, M.P. Herring of Snyder, TX; her sister, Raye McAdams and husband Jim of Dalhart, TX; her nephews; Keith Cooke and wife Christie and Jeremy Cooke and his wife Paula; and her niece, Jennifer Longnecker and husband David of Austin, TX; and six great nieces and nephews. In the last days of her life she was surrounded by God's angels. Some of which were Dianna and Ellen who took care of her dogs when she was too sick to; all of the Hospice crew who spent many hours helping her through her pain. She said everyday God would send new angels to take care of her needs. The weekend before she passed she spent reminiscing and laughing with old friends, Brenda from Abilene, TX and Kathy Mohr and Aaron Perkins from Albuquerque, NM. The love of her life second only to Jesus were her babies, Gus and Woodrow. She was only able to leave this world because she knew God would take care of them. She loves wolves, fast cars, a good time, laughter, and the fellowship of great friends. She didn't like a lot of fuss so she requested to be cremated and her ashes "sprinkled to the wind among God's birds anywhere you want" so there will not be a memorial service. The family wants to thank everyone for their love and concern. Memorials can be made to Hospice, or if you are a dog lover like Rose Anne please give to your favorite animal charity. TAFOYA, TOMMY In Loving Memory July 22, 1940- Sept. 11, 1992 9/11/2001 was one of the worst days in our nation's history, but before that, in 1992 it definitely became the worst day in our family's history as well as we had to learn to go on without you. It's been hard, but we've managed and you would be proud of what your kids and grandkids are accomplishing. Tom and Charlotte celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last week. I'm very proud of them, marriage is no easy task. Tomas graduated from St. Pius with honors. He received a scholarship and is attending UNM. He went to Ireland with a new dance team and plans to continue with this team and may go to Poland next summer. He's also rehearsing for Nutcracker again. Tatiana is a Junior at St. Pius and is also still dancing. She does very well at the National competitions in Vegas and LA. She worked her first job this past summer and impressed her coworkers with her computer skills. Lucretia is doing well but is now down to two dogs. She lost her beloved Ginger on Christmas Eve. The other two were very sad, she even had to put one on medication! Nep and Bianca are good. Nep is working for Yellow Roadway and is really liking it. All three kids are at the same school, probably the only year this will happen! They're all good students. Evangelee is in 8th grade and plays volleyball, basketball and softball. Samantha is in 4th grade. She's playing softball and loves being catcher-don't ask me why. This is Fred's first year in school, in Kindergarten. Mary Trinnie and Gerald will celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary on the 28th. They're very busy with the boys and their activities. Gerald competed again at the National Truck Driving Rodeo. This year it was in Salt Lake City. Gerald Paul is 14 and started high school. He's still a good student. He likes all the social interaction and wants to play basketball for his school. He will be confirmed in the Spring. Tommy Andres is a big second grader and loves school. He is playing tackle football and helps the other teammates up when they get tackled. It's quite funny. I can't believe I attended my 50th High School class reunion. It was a lot of fun to see so many of our friends. We miss you everyday. Love you. Your wife Vivian, your kids, and grandkids.
