COLLUMS, JEANETTE Jeanette Collums passed away surrounded by her family July 23, 2013. She was born to Joe and Ilene in Mississippi and moved to Albuquerque, NM 53 years ago with her love, Tony Collums. She is survived by her husband, Tony Collums; sons, Jerry and his wife, Trina, Michael, and daughter, Susan; grandchildren, Whitney, Chad, Chelsea and her husband, Kasey; great-grandchild, Amelia; brother, Donald, and his wife, Kara; nephews, Ken (Angie), Jay (Heather), niece Jenny (Cory) and their families and numerous other loving family members. CORDOVA, ROBERTO L. Age 80, of Rio Rancho, died Friday, July 26, 2013. If heaven could possibly be better, it is now. The Lord now has a great man by His side and without a doubt, will have His ear talked off. We have lost a great friend, and this world will never be the same without him. He is greeted by his son, Jaimie; mother and father; sister, Elsie; brother, Steve; cousin, Ross Anderson; and too many other friends and relatives to mention. He leaves behind Jennie, his loving wife of nearly 58 years; his daughter, Valerie; sons, Randy and Chuck; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He'll be missed so much. Pallbearers will be Jayson Cordova, Phillip Chavez, Mark Cordova, Jeremy Cordova, Eric Cordova and Kenny Anderson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ronald Monier. GALLEGOS, JAMES Age 76, passed away Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013 and he went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 29, 1936. James was a veteran Marine, a member of the American Legion Post 13 and a lifetime member of DAV. James is survived by his children: Jacqueline Britton of NV, Mark Gallegos of Albuquerque, Victoria Lapioli of Albuquerque, Randy Gallegos of MN; his brothers Jerry Gallegos and David Gallegos; sister Janette Roybal; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Jacinto Gallegos, and his youngest beloved son, Conrad Gallegos. His children would like to take this opportunity to thank and express their deep gratitude and appreciation to those caregivers involved with the care and comfort they provided him and to his many friends for their continued friendship and support during his life and final days. As were James wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services will be held. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, in the arms of the Lord, forever.

JONES, ARTHUR (ART) JR. Art (also known as "Billy" among family members and friends from the days of his youth) was born January 10, 1934 to Raley Jones and Wilma Durst Jones in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1951 and from the University Of South Carolina College Of Pharmacy in January 1956. He entered the U.S. Army in September 1958 and served until June 1960. While in the Army, Art was stationed as Pharmacist at the 14th Field Hospital in Bad Kreutznach, Germany. Art became a Christian early in life and attended Baptist churches wherever he happened to be located. At the time of his death, he was a member of Alameda Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a member of the Alumni Association at his beloved University of South Carolina. Also he was a charter member of the American Legion Post 400 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Other organizations of which he was a supporting member were: Alameda Baptist Church in Albuquerque, American Institute of the History of Pharmacy and the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. Art began his work life in drug stores at age 14 at Gardelles Drug Store in Augusta, Georgia. Once he graduated the University Of South Carolina School Of Pharmacy and secured his licenses he always worked as Pharmacist. He retired from Revco Drug Stores, after having served in several states, ending with the store in Pecos, Texas. In 2006, Art celebrated being registered with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy for 50 years. Through his years of working in drug stores, Art made many friends and served as mentor to many young people. He always made friends wherever he lived. He especially holds many people in the West Texas town of Pecos close to his heart. Like his mother and maternal grandmother, Art was an avid reader. Also, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Vera, when his health permitted. His maternal grandfather, William A. Durst, remained a friend and major influence in his life as long as his grandfather lived. Art is survived by his wife, Vera Galligher Jones of Albuquerque, New Mexico. There has never been a better friendship or a couple who had a more enduring sweetheart relationship than Art and Vera. He also is survived by 1st cousins, Wilma Thiede and Barbara Sweeney, of North Augusta, South Carolina. Also, his is survived by 2nd cousins, Chris Thiede and Ashlyn Hardy of North Augusta, SC; 3rd cousin, Marclee McDaniel of Greenville, SC and 4th cousin, young Schaefer McDaniel of Greenville, SC. Art was preceded in death by his father, Raley Jones and his mother, Wilma Jones Cochran. Also, he was preceded in death by his grandparents. A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 29, 2013, 3:00 p.m. at Alameda Baptist Church, 8818 2nd Street NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Interment will be at the U.S. Military Cemetery in Columbia, South Carolina where there will be a Graveside Service. Vera expresses special gratitude to Dr. David M. Brown and his staff for having cared for Billy for a number of years. Also, special thanks go to the staffs of Altura Homecare, Hospice of the Sandia's and Advantage Home Care that provided talented caregivers like Cecelia Rivera. Over the last two years, there have been too many wonderful providers and caregivers to list them all. After having suffered through many, many illnesses and surgeries, Billy is now at peace and is in line to see Jesus, his Savior, and Pop, his all-time human hero, as well as his friends and the other members of his family. KELLY, LEWIS W. Lewis passed away on 07/25/13 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Rita G. Kelly of Rio Rancho; his son Domingo Kelly husband of Tina Kelly of Agoura Hills, California; son Lewis W. Kelly Jr. of Nogal, New Mexico; daughter Lisa Pullig, wife of Corey Pullig of San Diego, California, Genevieve K. Montoya, wife of Danny Montoya of Las Cruces, New Mexico, son Pablo Kelly of Albuquerque, sister Nancy Reijonen wife of Albert Reijonen of Portland Oregon, and sister Patsy Wach, wife of Ray Wach of Taunton, MA. He is also survived by grandsons, Owen Pullig, Luke Pullig, and granddaughter, Bonnie Montoya. Lewis worked in various mines in the western United States, including Grants, New Mexico, but primarily in the Silver City area where he was born. He spent the last few years of his life at the family ranch in Glenwood, New Mexico. Cremation will take place and services will be scheduled as soon as possible at St. Francis Catholic Church in Reserve, New Mexico. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Montoya, Corey Pullig, Charlie Sandoval, Danny Montoya Sr., Danny Fryar, Paul Kohman, Wayne Brown, and Albert Reijonen. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Santo Nino Catholic Church in Glenwood, New Mexico.

KRUZEL, FREDERICK JOSEPH Longtime resident of Albuquerque, Fred Kruzel was killed in a traffic accident on 19 July, just a few days before his 84th birthday. As a boy, he fantasized about flying airplanes. In 1954 he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF. Fred served in the Air Force for 24 years as a pilot and served in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He was a Command Pilot of the B-52 currently displayed at the Atomic Museum in Albuquerque. Fred also piloted the T-6, B-25, B-36, C-47, and the F-100. Fred received numerous awards during his career including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and Air Force Accommodation Medal and retired at the rank of Major. After retiring from the Air Force, Fred worked in the banking industry as the Vice President of retirement plans at Albuquerque Federal Savings and Loan. Fred was also very active in local radio control model airplane clubs. Fred is survived by his two sons, Rick Kruzel and his wife Kim of Corona CA and Mark Kruzel of Albuquerque; two granddaughters Lauren and Ashlynn; and his sister Stella Venard of Parkridge IL. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Kruzel (Evans) in 2008. Visitation will take place July 30, 2013, 6:00PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel at 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. MCCLUNG, THOMAS EARL Age 80, passed away in his sleep after a long illness on Thursday, July 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Floyd, NM on December 5, 1932 to Roy and Ethyl McClung. He lived most of his life in Albuquerque, with moves to Hawaii and Texas. Thomas attended Eastern New Mexico University where he met his bride of 60 years, Fern Miller. He is survived by four children; daughters - Vicki Carr, Marla Carr (husband Kevin Carr), Lori Nutter (husband Scott Nutter); and son Scott McClung; brother Wayne; and the delights and joy of his life, seven grandchildren, Tasha Buttery (husband Justin), Kacey Carr (wife Bethany), Kody Carr (wife Katie), Lyndsey McClung, Tommy Nutter, Joey Nutter, and T. J. Nutter; five great-granddaughters, Olivia, Myca and Mia Buttrey, Sakora and Kaleah Carr. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Sagebrush Community Church-Riverside campus in the Kids building, 2nd floor, room 417 at 6440 Coors Blvd., NE 87120 on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 4:00 p.m., followed by an informal open house. MILLER, SHONEE Age 35, resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, July, 13, 2013. She left behind her daughter, Skyler; sister, Samantha; brother, Jason; and numerous friends and extended family. PRATT, SCOTT Scott A Pratt passed away peacefully on July 19, 2013. He was born in Gallup, New Mexico on December 21, 1946. He was a devoted and loving father, brother, grandfather, and an incredibly giving friend to many. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with amazing marksmanship. His love and appreciation for wildlife and the outdoors was absorbed by all who knew him. His favorite past times included outdoor photography, cooking, wood cutting, gardening, ranching, and being in the Jemez mountains. He is survived by his three children Nathan Pratt, Stephanie Scott, Jamie Ulibarri; his sister Lisa Pratt; and his grand children Skyler and Dalton Pratt, Colton and Aspen Scott. He was preceded by his sister Deborah, mother Eleanor and father Philip. He will be greatly missed and loved by all his friends and family. ROVINSKY, SAUL Age 84, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 10, 1929 to Benjamin and Rebecca Rovinsky. Saul was a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club, Sandia Dog Obedience Club, Free Masons Hiram Lodge 13, Jewish War Veterans and a longtime member of the Rio Rancho Jewish Center. He was preceded in death by his wife June Rovinsky and his sister Henrietta Tryer. Saul is survived by daughter, Karen F. Seabrook; grandchildren Ryan Seabrook and wife Belinda, Shawn Leonard and wife Melissa; great grandchildren Zeriah Leonard, Kaylee Seabrook, Lanie Seabrook, Brayden Leonard and McKinsie Seabrook and his sister Beatrice Leshnov. SEABERG-BARNES, REBECCA Entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday July 22, 2013 after a courageous and fearless fight with lung cancer. Rebecca was born in Anchorage, Alaska on January 1, 1959 to John and Marian Seaberg. Her legacy lives on in her two daughters Aris and Marian as well as her husband John Barnes. She is also survived by her sister's Elizabeth Nixon and Katherine Laven of Minnesota. Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, father, and also her brother Gregg. Rebecca worked at Hope Christian School Business Office for ten years. During this time she created an indelible legacy at Hope Christian as she displayed her tireless love for the children there through the Cheer Leading program and its many community outreach programs. She also ran the infamous Dog House at the school and went out of her way to organize all of the school dances for Homecoming, Winter Ball and Prom each year. Through these programs she displayed an endless passion for serving the children through her steady hand and warm heart in Christ's love. Anyone who has interacted with Rebecca was drawn to her and can you tell you of her compassion, poise, and grace, no matter the situation. It is time for this true servant to rest in her Savior's arms. We will all remain strong and inspired through the legacy she left us. SLOAN, OSCAR L. Born in Albuquerque Feb 28, 1930. Died at the Veteran's Hospital in Albuquerque on July 23, 2013. Oscar graduated from Austin High School in El Paso, Texas in 1948 and entered the Air Force that same year. After completing almost 22 year of service, he returned to El Paso and graduated with a BA degree from UTEP. He moved back to Belen where he attended Grade School and Jr. High in the mid 90's to be closer to family. He moved to Albuquerque in 2012. Oscar traveled extensively with the Air Force, Korea, Thailand, Japan in the middle East and Germany, Italy, France, England in Europe. He had one son Phillip who was killed in an auto accident when he was 13 years old. He was also preceded in death, by his father, Oscar O. Sloan, his mother, Henrietta Sloan, his sister Henry Anne Hendren. He has one surviving sister, Nancy (Karas) Maese, in Albuquerque; one brother, Thomas Sloan in Sanford, Florida; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Oscar never met a stranger. He loved to talk to everyone he met and had many friends. Funeral will be held at graveside at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 1:30pm. WALDEN, WILLIAM E. "BILL" Age 71, of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He is survived by wife, Margaret "Peggy" Walden; daughters, Cookie Nolan, Debbie Walden, Pam Lewis; grandson, Buck Walden; sister, Shirley Morgan; niece, Roxanne, nephews, Russ and Randy and numerous "adopted" kids.
