ARAGON -- AMBROSIO Age 90, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Las Vegas, NM. He is survived by his children, Margaret DeWitt and husband, Jeff, Gary Aragon and wife, Sharon, Sharon Muchmore, Gerald Aragon and wife Bonnie, Sylvia Lucero and husband, Joe, and Gilbert Aragon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Manuel Aragon and Paul Aragon. Ambrose joined the Army when he was 16, serving in WWII. Following his duty, he came back home and studied to be a barber. He had owned his own business as a barber in Albuquerque for over 60 years. Following retirement, he still went to the shop each day to help out his son, Gerald. He loved to fish and hunt. Ambrose was most proud of obtaining his High School Diploma at age 85 in 2006. He will be dearly missed. CRITES -- JAMES "HYMIE" Age 70, was reunited with his loving wife, Sue, in Heaven on December 14, 2011. He is survived by his four children, daughter Heather and spouse Johnny, son Aaron, daughter Jennifer, daughter Megan and spouse Bryan; five grandchildren; sister Glenda and spouse Melvin and their two children; and countless other nieces and nephews. LUCERO -- GENE A. passed away December 14, 2011 at home. He was born Feb. 9, 1921 in Solano, NM. While serving in WWII, Lucero was shot down flying a mission over Germany and taken prisoner of war. After returning, he met and married Lorene Carricaburu. He retired from Sandia Labs, and is survived by his wife Lorene; sons Gene, Steve and Gary; and daughter Linda Lucero-Lopez; grandchildren Juan, Carlos and Miranda Lopez and Anna Lucero; great-grandchildren MarcoAntonio, JuanCarlos and Desiree Lopez and Leah "BooBoo" and Lauren Lopez; and great-great-grandchild Josiah Moya. No services will be held.

QUISENBERRY -- SARAH ELIZABETH 1948-2011 Sarah Elizabeth Quisenberry, age 63, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Sarah is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Sarah was born in Myrtle Beach South Carolina on January 3, 1948. She has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1968. Sarah worked as a General Manager at several hotels, the last at the Rio Grande Inn, before opening TMM Business Records Storage in 1990. Together Sarah and her husband Tom Quisenberry successfully ran TMM before losing their business to a fire in 2010. Although Sarah was a natural entrepreneur, her greatest accomplishments were her love and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Sarah loved to fish and ski in the beauty of Angel Fire. She also cherished her time teaching her grandsons, Joel to paint, putting puzzles together with Stephen, fishing with Richie, and helped her eldest grandson Brett during his last two years of high school. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Pleasant Burrell Durham, and Kathleen Huff Durham; her sister Kathleen "Kitty" Cheney; and her brother Pleasant "Tim" Durham. Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Tom Quisenberry; daughter, Kelly Marions Fajardo and husband Larry; son Don Marions; step-daughter, Michelle Petrin and husband Jeff; step-son Shane Quisenberry and wife Kris; grandchildren Brett Petrin, Richard Solorzano, Stephen, and Joel Fajardo; her sisters, Barbara Abraham, Laura Shytle, Ruthie Jones and husband Randy; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friends Joanna Rubi and Rachel McLeod. Sarah was loved by all that knew her, and she will be greatly missed. All services will be held at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley, at 19381 North Highway 314 in Belen on Monday, December 19. A viewing will be at 10:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery and there will be a reception following at the church. Pallbearers are Jeff Petrin, Lawrence Fajardo, Richard Solorzano, Brett Petrin, Shane Quisenberry, and Frank Espinosa. Honorary Pallbearers are Stephen and Joel Fajardo. TRUJILLO-HARVEY -- TOMAS Tomas joined his Lord and Savior in heaven on December 12, 2011. He is survived by Estelle, his loving wife of 33 years; his daughter, Lisa Harvey and son, Stephen both of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Austin and Rachel Harvey. Leading his way to God were his youngest and oldest sons, Anthony and Thomas. He served two tours of duty as a combat Marine Rifleman in World War II and Korea. He was a member of Sandia Baptist Church serving in the greeter ministry and as a volunteer food server. He was an alumni of UNM class of 1967, and member of Tanoan Country Club. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at French Mortuary. Cremation has taken place. VAN DOREN -- MELVIN L. Age 82, of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 after a long battle with leukemia. He was born June 15, 1929 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to Sadie (Pittack) and Roy Van Doren and spent his childhood in Norfolk, Nebraska. He graduated from Norfolk High School in 1946 and Norfolk Junior College in 1948. He was seriously wounded in action in 1951 while serving in the 7th Cavalry in North Korea. After his discharge he married Edra Priest of Dallas, Texas in 1953. He then graduated from Andrews University in 1956 and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1957. Melvin served as the Assistant Treasurer of the City of Albuquerque before joining the United States Department of State in 1961. His work took him around the world to Korea, VietNam, Africa, and South America. He worked tirelessly in the Sudan administering the Department of State famine relief program in the 1980's. He retired as a Senior Foreign Service Officer in 1988 and returned to Albuquerque, where he served as the treasurer for the Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church until the day he died. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edra P. Van Doren, Albuquerque; children, Cherri Van Doren Gerber, Kelowna, British Columbia, David Van Doren, Albuquerque, Johanna Van Doren-Jackson, Leesburg, VA, Sean Van Doren, Landstuhl, Germany; son-in-law, Robert Jackson, Leesburg, VA; sister, Delores (Van Doren)Sewell, Norfolk, NE; brother, Everett Van Doren, Dickson, TN; and his beloved grandchildren, Caitlin Gerber, Ryan Gerber, Shannon Gerber, Sarah and Shaun Gerber; Carolyn Jackson, Juliana Jackson, William Jackson, Andrew Van Doren, Austin Van Doren, Jonathan Van Doren. Services will be held Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Albuquerque Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church.
