BARTEAU -- S. MICHEL Beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011. He was born in Corning, NY on May 16, 1962, lived in San Francisco and New York City, before residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the mid 1990's. Michel was a talented and creative soul. He was a fabulous cook, gifted couturier, musician, and dancer. He studied ballet under Margaret Craske and Diana Byer, and was a principal dancer for the Wilkes-Barre Ballet, New York Theatre Ballet, and New Mexico Ballet Company. He possessed a strong sense of family and a great sense of humor. Michel was preceded in death by his father, Charles Richard Barteau. He is survived by his mother, Joan Barteau; his cats Oliver and Ollie; his sisters Lisa Cordova, Debbie Barteau, and Diane Barteau-Pierson; his aunt, Gail Spangenberg; and numerous other loving relatives. A Memorial Service for Michel will be held at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Albuquerque on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Asbury Church.

BROSHIOUS -- DELORES JEAN 75, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 2, 2011 at 1:50 a.m. She is survived by husband, Duane T. Broshious of Albuquerque, NM; children, Diane Marie Broshious of Albuquerque, Deb Denise and husband Robert Asbridge of Albuquerque, Daniel Carl Broshious and Karen Mann of Albuquerque, David Glen Broshious of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Candi Dean, Corey Broshious, Benjamin Broshious and wife Monica, Stephanie Ellison and husband Jason, David Shane Broshious and fiance Briana Jimenez; great-grandsons, Brandon Broshious, Henry Ellison and Cannon Broshious; and brothers, Donald Williams and Robert Williams. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Rice Williams and Charlene Ethel Williams; twin grandsons, Joshua and Elijah Broshious; and grandson Dominic "Joe" Black. She was an avid sports fan, a great bowler and an excellent bingo player. Dee also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. Dee adored her family. ESPINOSA -- ANDRES "MAGUA" Age 88, Lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away Monday November 28, 2011. He was born to Seferino and Michella Espinosa on January 27, 1923. Andres was a veteran of WWII, and was a retired employee of the Albuquerque Public School Systems as a Curator at Milne Stadium for over 40 years. He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Baca, Pauline Cordova and Terry Romero; his grandchildren, Christopher Murzyn, Daniel Cordova, Phillip Cordova, Deborah Taylor, Elizabeth Gilbert, Catheryn Donaldson, Penelope Spradlin and Dawn Pappan; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Jose "Chepe" Espinosa and Guadalupe "Dupo" Espinosa also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Victoria Espinosa; a son Michael; and several brothers and sisters. HART -- GOLDIE Age 94, passed away at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village on Saturday, December 3, 2011. She was born March 21, 1917 in Mt. Sterling, KY to William and Minnie (Howard) Lovely. Most of her life, she was a professional artist, loving to paint Western landscapes. She also loved to travel throughout the world. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James C. Hart in 1977 and her second husband, Howard Christianson in 1989. Goldie is survived by several nieces and nephews, Dan Lovely, Diane (Carl) Airhart, Judith (Ben) Caudill, Gladys (Jim) Hurte, Tina (John) Letsche, Jerel Caudill, Chad Caudill, Gina Noggle, Ryan Noggle, Brad Letsche, Amy (Jim) Manning, Ronald Lovely and Randolph Lovely. LYNN -- MYKEL The family of Mykel Lynn is saddened to announce the passing of their beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was 45 years old. Mykel is a 13th generation New Mexican, and died peacefully surrounded by her loving family members on Saturday, December 3rd in the morning. Mykel was a successful businesswoman, and a vital partner in the family business. A free and creative spirit, Mykel spent much of her 20's and 30's traveling to England, France, Spain, throughout North America and to China, also residing in New York, California, Texas and Colorado. Her business interests brought her back to New Mexico in 2000, ultimately settling in Corrales, New Mexico. From a close supportive family, Mykel looked to her father, Ricardo Chaves as her mentor, her mother Margaret Cavanagh as a constant source of strength, love and guidance, and her siblings, Richard, Kathleen, Barbara and Linda as her partners, advisors and friends. She adored her nieces and nephews Richard, Morgan, Ally and Nick and had just welcomed her newest nephew, Cash to the family in February of this year. In her 30's and 40's she learned a love for horse-racing from her close cousin, Ben Chavez, and raced her horses throughout New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and Colorado. Mykel is survived by her parents, Richard and Margaret; her sister Kathleen and her son Cash; her brother Richard and his wife Kara, and their children, Richard, Morgan, Ally, and Nick; her sister Barbara and her husband Ken Griffith; her sister Linda. To all who knew and loved her she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. MCCLURE -- MARIAN Born March 8, 1929 in York, Nebraska, daughter of Fred and Bertha Meyer, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Albuquerque. Marian enjoyed her years teaching in Europe and living among the local people while traveling in Spain, Italy, and Germany on weekends; and longer trips to Holland, England, Tangier, Portugal, France and West Berlin. Back in the states, Marian enjoyed her summer vacations in Minnesota racing her sailboat on Bald Eagle Lake. Racing ended when her husband, Gordon was transferred to Denver and the family moved to a new home in a community in the Cherry Creek School District. Marian was involved with planning and organizing a new school in the neighborhood. She was elected first president of the PTA and worked toward involving the community in use of the building and understanding the concept of education in an open space classroom. Again a transfer brought the family to Albuquerque and again Marian spent time as a volunteer in the office at Del Norte High School. She always enjoyed playing bridge and now could join ACBL, and attain the rank of Bronze Life Master. Marian was a member of Faith in Christ Lutheran Church and served on the Church Council as Financial Secretary for two years. Marian is survived by her daughter, Mary of Lake Forest, CA; three nieces, Gail Mears of Littleton CO, Susan Schrader of Northglenn, CO, and Barbara Duncanson of South Bend, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 31 years, Gordon; and sisters, Lois Anderson and Ellen Kaeding. SPARKS -- DAVID R. JR. Age 40, a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 ending his 40 year struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is survived by his devoted mother, Deborah Buchhorn; sister, Candice Sparks of Albuquerque, NM; other family, friends and his nursing staff. Confined to a wheelchair most of his life, he was in no way debilitated. He found joy in life from his family, his nurses, movies, computers, traveling, science fiction and had an interest in memorabilia. He was an avid Star Trek enthusiast. A special moment was a cameo in "The Five Captains" documentary with William Shatner. A special thank you to David's long time nurses, Donna Monette (24 yrs), Nancy Martz, Abdu'l Kamara, Patty Kingen, Alejandro Salcido, Mary Ganus, Carol Alkire, Terry Duncan, Vickie Krause, Bonnie Thies, Velma Boyd, Fred Chavez and others who dedicated themselves to meeting not only David's needs, but his dreams and aspirations as well, and to whom we owe our eternal gratitude.
