ARAGON -- PRISCILLA G. Age 86, a native of Albuquerque went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011. It was fitting as she was born on another National Holiday, Independence Day, July 4, 1925. She came into this world with a bang of fireworks and she left us all thankful to have known her and to have had her in our lives. She did a wonderful job raising her children as a single mother. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents Elias and Abunda Garcia of Albuquerque; her children Rosalie Aragon, Jimmy Lopez, and Elias Aragon; her siblings Ernestina Jaramillo, Ida Armenta and Sabro Garcia; her beloved grandson, Joseph Aragon, with whom she had a wonderful relationship with. She is survived by her son Joe D. Aragon and wife Annie; grandchildren Stan Aragon, Annette Martinez and husband Ray, Paulette Romero and husband Randy, Joyce Aragon; daughter-in-law Cristina; great-grandchildren Arleane, Sebastian, Anthony, Marie, Nathaniel, Alexandra, Dajah, Joseph, Randy, Keana, JR, Alyssa, Annelisa all of Albuquerque; numerous caring extended family. Priscilla made friends wherever she went and touched many lives. She was a Christian woman who gave her life the Lord Jesus Christ many years ago. She shared the gospel with others and lived her life learning about the Lord. She will be dearly missed until we reunite with her again. We will always remember her feisty spirit. BRITO -- ROBERT JR. "FROG" Age 28, died Saturday, November 26, 2011. He was born on June 24, 1983 in Long Beach, CA. Robert will always be remembered as a great man doing what he loved. He was a die hard rider with many friends. He was the type of man who would bend over backwards to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was a smart man that knew a bit of everything. He was all smiles, all laughs, all the time and always treated everyone equal. We will always remember him as a great man and he will be loved forever and will always be in our hearts. BROWN -- CHARLES H. Age 82, a thirty seven year resident of Albuquerque, passed away while spending the last six months of his life in Nashville, TN. He is survived by his sons Michael and wife Kim of Florida and Chris and wife Carolyn of Nashville; one granddaughter, Shelby of Florida. Charlie was born in Maquoketa, IA to Frederick F. and Viola G. Brown. As a young boy growing up, his family moved to Knoxville, TN where he completed his primary education. After graduating High School, he was granted a football scholarship from Southern Louisiana University in Lafayette, received a Bachelors Degree in Horticulture, and in 1954 was commissioned as a U.S. Air Force Officer. After completing undergraduate pilot training and receiving his first assignment to Sacramento, CA, he met his soon to be wife Edna "Mickey" C. Michelotti and they married two years later. Further assignments included Alaska where his first son Michael was born; and Albuquerque, NM where his second son Chris was born. Charles willfully accepted orders to the war in Vietnam and returned 18 months having spent countless hours as an Air Operations Center Coordinator in Da Nang and flying close Air Support missions over enemy territory in a OV -10 Bronco. After 24 years of honorable service, Charles retired from the United States Air Force as a Maintenance Officer at McGuire, AFB, NJ. The family settled back in Albuquerque, NM where he enthusiastically began a new career as a Real Estate Agent, first with Lincoln Realty and later with Hooten & Stahl. As an entrepreneur he ventured out on his own in the property management business running "Guardian Residential Management" for over 20 years. He had a love for fishing, horseback riding, and spent many volunteer hours with the Albuquerque Police Department. He had a very giving spirit, often helping individuals and charities with personal service or contributions. We have lost a truly decent and good man and he will be dearly missed. Friends may visit on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at French - Wyoming Chapel. A Celebration of Charlie's life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at French - Wyoming Chapel. Interment with full military honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 pm. CAMUGLIA -- JOSEPH (JOE) AKA CAMPANELLI Age 78, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011. Joe was born July 14, 1933 to Jennie and Rosario Camuglia in Staten Island, NY. He served in the U.S. Air Force band and was stationed in Guam. Upon discharge, he pursued his education in advertising at Utica New York University. He came to Albuquerque in 1960 and worked as an advertising executive for Channel 13 for a short while before venturing into wholesale Italian food distribution to supermarkets in Albuquerque and surrounding areas of the state. Following that, he established Paisano's Rolling Pizza, a successful city-wide pizza delivery service, the forerunner of Paisano's Italian Restaurant opened in 1973 on Eubank Blvd. where it has remained a popular eatery for 38 years. Joe retired in 1994 and his son Rick took the helm. Joe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce; son, Rick; daughters, Becky Rippel and Cheryl Thompson; grandchildren, Bethany Hillson and Nathan Hillson; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. GONZALES -- ROBERT Age 54, beloved son and nephew, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011. He was born on February 22, 1957 to Cleofas and Severa Gonzales, in Albuquerque, NM, and was a life long resident of Algodones, NM. Robert loved spending time on the family ranch, herding his cattle and enjoying the great fresh air and space. He was preceded in death by is mother Severa (Lela) Gonzales; and sister, Lucy Garcia. HARRAH -- MADGE Age 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011. Madge was born in Lamar, MO on May 11, 1931 to Lester and Blanche Fisher. Her mother taught art, English and music and her father taught English and math. They were creative people who encouraged Madge in all her endeavors. When Madge first started selling the books she'd written, her mother said, "Don't settle for a flat fee. Hold out for royalties." Madge attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, majoring in art and English education and minoring in music. She graduated in 1953. She married Larry Harrah in 1952, with whom she had gone to high school. He eventually earned his Ph.D. in physical chemistry and did scientific research for the U.S. Air Force in Ohio and at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque. Madge studied playwriting with Rod Serling ("Twilight Zone"). She had plays published and produced, won two international playwriting contests, published 12 books and over 400 articles, stories and short pieces in regional and national publications, some of which were anthologized. She exhibited paintings in juried shows, illustrated books, composed music, and taught writing classes to people of all ages for over 30 years. In April of 2009, she was presented a Lifetime of Achievement Award by the College of Education, University of Missouri, for "Outstanding Achievement and Meritorious Service." She is survived by her husband, Larry; their two children, Eric and Meghan; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill. HERRERA -- LYDIA DORA Was born in Corrales, New Mexico on April 18, 1950. She passed away in Albuquerque on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the age of 61. Lydia loved to do quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, Esperidion and Josefinita Martinez; brother, Pat; sister, Anna Dina. HORNE -- LEONARD DOUGLAS "DOUG" Age 62, of Los Lunas, NM, passed away November 10, 2011, at the University of New Mexico Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit from complications following a stroke. Doug was born on May 6, 1949 in Albuquerque, NM, the son of the late Courtney Horne and Lola Skotchdopole, being lovingly raised by his stepfather, the late Henry Skotchdopole. Following graduation from Highland High School in 1967, where he was a "headhunter" playing defensive tackle on the hornet's football team, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a radio operator on the USS ERNEST G. SMALL during the Vietnam War. Doug was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy on December 5, 1973, after earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Following the Vietnam War, Doug returned to Albuquerque, where he was blessed with a daughter from his first marriage, Emily Horne. In 1989, Doug married Linda Blakely and became the loving father of Rob Starkey. In 1976 he became a real estate salesman, eventually working with his mother at Los Lunas Realty. He took over Los Lunas Realty in 2006, and continued working there alongside Mike Little until his death. Doug was known to others as the "gentle giant," never met a stranger, and always had a smile and a hug for those whom he loved. Family get-togethers were never complete until Doug arrived with his bear-hugs and overwhelming warmth. While an avid downhill skier, Doug's life-long passion was fishing. He was particularly fond of fishing on Heron Lake in Chama, NM, and spent as much time as he could, fishing in Chama. All of his siblings, credit Doug with teaching them how to fish. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Henry Skotchdopole, who passed away on August 5, 2009; his mother, Lola Skotchdopole, who passed away on January 16, 2005; and his first cousin Bruce Balfour, who passed away on August 29, 2001. Doug is survived by his wife, Linda, of Los Lunas, NM; one daughter, Emily, and partner, Rey Ortiz, of Los Lunas, NM; a son, Rob Starkey and his wife, Kara, of San Jose, CA; five siblings, including Arlene Horne, and her partner, Carlton Cann, of Douglasville, GA; Gayla Thomason, of Los Lunas, NM; Tom Horne and his wife, Linda, of Austin, TX; Mark Skotchdopole and his wife Dilenda, of Los Lunas, NM; and Paul Skotchdopole and his wife Yolanda, of Las Vegas, NM; three grandchildren, including Margaret Horne, of Los Lunas, NM; Jack Stone Ortiz, of Los Lunas, NM; and Anna Starkey, of San Jose, CA; his beloved Aunt Lillian Balfour; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and four special miniature dachshunds. A Memorial Service was held at the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez in Los Chavez, NM, on November 13, 2011, officiated by the Reverend Boyd Morerod, and included Doug's favorite songs performed by his brother, Tom, and his friend, Fred Mollerud. LINDSEY -- JASMIN ROSE On November 18, 2011 our angel Jasmin Rose Lindsey, age 24, left us to be in heaven with her father Michael and two cousins Sam and Lindsey. MOYA -- ERLINDA GARLEY 1911-2011 Age 100, was called "home" on November 27, 2011. In February 1930, she married Castulo Chavez Moya. Castulo died in 1986 after 56 years of marriage. They had six children. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Amada Sanchez; brothers, Henry, Eloy, Johnny, Joe Salo, Ross, and Silverio; three of her children (Ramoncita, George and Arthur); along with many other loved ones. She kept these members of her family always in her heart. NAYLOR -- LIZ Age 83, of Albuquerque passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011. Liz was predeceased by her husband, Max Naylor. She is survived by son Mark Naylor (Dale Gunn, M.D.) of Albuquerque; daughter Elizabeth Ann aka Jan Black Owens (Ronn Owens); grandaughters Sarah Owens and Laura Owens of San Francisco, California. Liz attended UNM and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Over the years Liz was a member of The Collectors Club and The Hoe Handlers Garden Club. Liz volunteered at the Maaxwell Museum of Anthropology and at UNM Children's Rehab Center. A private family service and burial has taken place. Liz will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and as a lady with a cheerful disposition who always had a kind word for others.

REYNER -- SUSAN REID Age 69, a resident of Albuquerque passed away at her home on November 27, 2011 with her life partner Jeanette Rich by her side. She is survived by her brother Steven William Reyner, her sister-in-law Jeanette Mary Reyner, her nephews David Scott Reyner and William Gene Reyner, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents George Miller Reyner and Flossie Marcella Nelson Reyner. Dr. Reyner was born in Rapid City, South Dakota and grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota. She graduated from Mitchell High School, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver, a master's degree from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.d. in American Studies from Yale University. Her dissertation was entitled "Through the looking Glass: a History of Anglo-American Attitudes towards Spanish Americans and Indians of New Mexico." Susan served in the Peace Corps in Bolivia and was awarded Fulbright Fellowships to both Alexandria, Egypt and Santiago de Compo Stela, Spain. In addition, she taught English at Zheng Zhow University in China, the Hampton Institute in Virginia, and the United World College. In recent years, she has held administrative and teaching positions at the College of Santa Fe, Central New Mexico Community College and the University of New Mexico Extended University at Kirtland Air Force Base. She especially enjoyed nature, becoming a Master Gardener, avid hiker, and camper. In addition, Dr. Reyner was a gifted writer and animal lover who enjoyed classical music. ROGERS -- SAMUEL SCOTT Age 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966, died November 25, 2011. He is survived by his father, Colonel (Ret) Ralph M. Rogers and his mother, Stella F. Rogers. He is also survived by four brothers, Steve Rogers, Chris Rogers, and Tim Rogers, all of Albuquerque, Jeff Rogers of California; many nieces and nephews. Sam spent many years in the service, first in the Navy, and then in the Army. After that, he worked for the Department of Energy in Albuquerque. SCHINTGEN -- THOMAS E. Age 70, died peacefully at his home after a seven month battle with lung cancer. He was born September 29, 1941 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Joseph and Kathryn Schintgen. He attended school in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. On May 15, 1965 Thomas was united in marriage to Kathleen P. Crum in Chicago, Illinois. Tom served his country with the U.S. Navy. He worked most of his career around medicine and emergency medical services. He started in Chicago, Illinois at the American Medical Association and then moved to Carpentersville, Illinois where he worked at Elgin Community Hospital. In 1975, Thomas and Kathleen moved to New Mexico. He worked at UNMC Burn Unit, Albuquerque Ambulance and Edgewood Sheriff's Department until they moved to Capitan, NM. He worked at Lincoln County Sheriff's Department until he retired in 2005. In addition to his wife Kathleen, Thomas is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Katherine and a granddaughter Kaitlin of New Braunsfel, TX. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers-in-law Judith Kelm of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, Mary Kay (Paul) Lee of Capitan, NM, Sandra (Tom) Kuether of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Stephen Crum (Sharon) of Baltimore, Maryland, as well as many nieces and nephews. SCHUMACHER -- JACQUELINE Passed away on November 17, 2011 at the age of 87. Jacqueline was born on October 18, 1924 in Highland Park, California. Jacqueline spent most of her life in Newport Beach, California with her husband of 63 years, Bob Schumacher. The couple moved to Albuquerque to be near their children a number of years ago. Bob and Jackie had a magical and happy marriage and Jackie's loving, graceful, kind and caring nature will never be forgotten. Jackie is survived by her husband Bob; sons Paul and his wife Jill, Jim and his wife Peaches, Gerry and his wife Kathy. Jackie leaves behind six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. There will be a Rosary at Daniels Family Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE (505-821-0010), on Thursday, December 1st at 7:00 pm followed by a Mass at Risen Savior Catholic Church on Friday, December 2nd at 10:00 am. SMITH -- KAY KILLOUGH 1942-2011 Barbra Kay Killough Smith "Kay", 69, a long time resident of Tome NM, born in Abilene, TX, went peacefully to be with her departed loved ones and our Lord on Thursday, November 24. She had a full life of people who loved her dearly. She was a retired line assigner for Qwest after serving them for 35 years. She spent the last 14 years devoted to her daughter, Kristin Chavez and son-in-law Jarrod and her four beautiful grandchildren. She attended many events with the grandchildren cheering them on like she was their biggest fan! She truly enjoyed spending countless hours with her friends and family. The holidays were especially special to her. She would do anything that was asked of her to help others putting them first. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Bell and Ferd Tom Killough; five brothers; three sisters; and stepson Jeffery Martin Smith. She is survived by her ex-husband, John A. Smith, who, to this day, was a best friend; daughter Kristin Chavez and husband Jarrod; four grandchildren, Cerisa, Brendon, Devin, and Aidan Chavez; two sisters, Mary Ola Harless and husband James Weldon, and Freda Joe Bishop; one brother Fred Poe Killough; her lifelong best friend "sister", Ann Glover; nephew, Ron Killough and wife Sharon; four step children, Gene A. Smith, James Lee Smith and wife Valarie Jeremy T. Smith, Sandy Smith, and Rita Smith; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Erik, David, Jessie Gorlinsky, and Katie Kephart; and six great-grandchildren. There are many people she was extremely close to that will also miss her dearly. She was born and raised in Abilene, TX where she still considered home. To her grandchildren and most of the children she met she was known as "Mimi". There are no words to describe how important, and irreplaceable this amazing woman was to so many people. She will be dearly missed. There is no one who will ever take her place. "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord, my soul to take." We will love you, love you, love you...always. A time to celebrate Kay's life will be held at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2nd. WARD -- BERTHA W. Age 101, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, November 17, 2011. She is survived by her niece, Cheryl McEwen of Gallup, NM; nephew, Kip Walker of Alamosa, CO; niece, Lynda G Mertes of Los Lunas, NM; and niece, Barbara A Quinn of Carmel Valley, CA. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walker and her husband, J Richard Ward. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Bertha and J Richard were members of Covenant Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held on December 3, 2011, 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. WILKINS -- JAMES L. "JIMMY" Loving father, grandfather, husband and brother passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the age of 85. He is survived by his children, Patrick Wilkins and wife Debbie and Stephen Wilkins and wife Jeanne; his four grandchildren, Justin, Shane, Claire and Grace who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Edna Newman and her husband Melvin of Lubbock, Texas; his brother-in-law Danny Dunsworth and wife Theresa, of Glendale, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Elsie D. Wilkins in 2008. Jimmy was born on September 12, 1926 to Thomas and Victoria Wilkins in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He graduated with a Masters Degrees in Education from Highlands University. After graduation he was employed with APS as a coach, counselor and driver's education teacher for over 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed his time as a referee for NMAA football and basketball games across the state. After retiring, he loved playing golf with his friends, traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devout Catholic and long time member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. His everlasting smile, positive outlook on life and abundance of patience will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know him. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place at Oasis Family Church, 4800 Lomas NE, on Thursday, December 1, 2011, 10:00am. Interment will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011, 11:15 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
