ANDAZOLA -- A. STEVEN Age 46, passed away Friday Nov. 4, 2011. He was born March 27, 1965 to Arthur and Sally Andazola in Albuquerque. Steven was a graduate of Highland High School. He was employed by Ethicon Endosurgery for 20 years. Steven is survived by his parents; children, Ariel, Erik and Kieri; sisters, Yvonne, Celeste and Christine; nephews, Dominic and Joshua, all of Albuquerque; many aunts, uncles and extended family. He will be missed by all who loved him. Cremation has taken place. ARCHIBEQUE -- ROBERT Age 82, a long time reside of Alameda, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Archibeque; children, Robert Archibeque and wife, Lisa, Lauretta Archibeque, Ita Mae Archibeque, Larry Archibeque, and Roberta Martinez; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Kinzer and husband, Jay, Lorraine Baca and husband, Ray, Liz Tafoya and Beatrice Moreno and husband, Joe; and brother, Ben Archibeque. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Ben Archibeque, mother, Stella Archibeque, sister, Sally Uzueta; and son-in-law, Flavio Martinez III. Robert was a WWII Veteran and a life-time member of the VFW. BACA -- CHRISTINE Of Santa Fe, NM went home to her Savior, surrounded by family and friends. Her husband Benjamin M. Baca went before her on Dec. 15, 1989. She is survived by her daughter Anna Marie Baca; her son Louis B. Baca; her grandchildren Aaron Rebecca, Ashley, Timothy and Michael Baca. She is also survived by her mother Andrea Giron of Albuquerque, NM, and her siblings Bernie (Doris) Giron, Victor Giron, Tina (Dan) Patton, Rosie (Dr. Barry) Maron, Randy (Kathy) Giron, Rick (Gloria) Giron, Yolanda Giron, Pilar (Felicia) Giron, Ramey (Aime) Giron, Lucia Giron-Harris, Louie Padilla, and their families. She is also survived by numerous cousins and family friends. Preceding her to meet their Lord, her father, Pilar Giron (July 2, 1973); her siblings and their spouses, Steve Eddie Giron (Dec. 2, 1998), Margaret Padilla (June 28, 2007), Angel Hall (June 11, 2009), Wes Hall (May 3, 2005), and Phillip Giron (Aug. 6, 2011); her nephews, Christopher Giron (Dec. 12, 2008) and Tony Lee Giron (April 24, 1996). BARBONE -- MARY E. Age 87, passed away on November 6, 2011. Mary was born in Chicago, IL where she met her future husband, Doc Barbone during World War II. She was a much loved mother, grandmother and friend and a proud Democrat. She is survived by her two children, Joe Barbone and his wife Rosalie Douglass and their son Sean Hall and Terri Holland and her son Ben Holland. A memorial service will be held at the First Unitarian Church Social Hall, 3701 Carlisle NE, Albuquerque, NM on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Mary was a gifted writer but her profession was as a therapist. She helped so many people over the years. She loved to help out with Musical Theatre Southwest productions. She knew that she could not carry a tune but was always on hand to help back stage. We love her and will miss her.

BENAVIDEZ -- ROBERT LEE Age 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home early Sunday, November 6, 2011. With his loving wife by his side, Robert passed away peacefully after courageously battling a lengthy illness. Robert was born on September 1, 1934 in Trinidad, CO. He spent his early years in Nevada and California before making New Mexico his "true" home in 1948. He attended Sacred Heart School and St. Mary's High School where he met his future wife, Dolores. Robert played on his high school baseball team where he developed his love for the game. After marrying and starting a family, they moved to Los Alamos where Robert was a dedicated and proud fireman/EMT until his retirement. Robert loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing with his sons-in-law and grandchildren. Mr. "B" was loved by many and a friend to all who met him. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Celio and Stella (Gallegos) Benavidez; in-laws Joe and Elisa Vialpando and Carlos Sisneros; great-granddaughter Kaylen Rose Foster. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores; brother Dan Benavidez; sisters Leola (Ted) Cline and Stella Benavidez; brothers-in-law Henry (Corrine) Sisneros, Joey Sisneros, Johnny (Bea) Sisneros, and Lewis (Virginia) Sisneros; daughters, Geri (Ernie) C'deBaca, Barbara (Ken) Foster, Theresa (Christopher) C'deBaca, Rocky Benavidez (Arturo Sanchez), and Renee (Justin) Miley; grandchildren Robbie C'deBaca, Seth C'deBaca, Shannon (Tom) Russell, Dustin Foster, Gary (Krystle) Foster, Tim (Julie) Locke, Melanie (Kenny) Stimson, Joseph C'deBaca, Andrea C'deBaca, Justin Brophy, Kendra Brophy, Christiana Miley, Shane Miley; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. CHAVEZ -- CELINE M. Beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 2, 2011. She was born on July 20, 1916 in Dixon,NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, where she was a member of the Catholic Community. Celine was a past member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Shine of St. Bernadette Church Bi-lingual Choir. She enjoyed oil painting, playing the piano, gardening, sewing and embroidering. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Eusebio and Matilde Martinez; her husband, Adelaido Chavez, Sr.; son, Joseph "Arnie" Chavez. Celine is survived by her loving children, Del Chavez and wife Mela, David Chavez and wife Toni, Edna M. Miller and husband Terry; grandchildren, Donald and wife Anna, Diane and husband Rick, Debbie and husband Paul, Steven, Duane and wife Liliana, Suzanna, David Jr., Cheryl and husband Mark, Erica and husband Troy, Sara and husband Dan, Victoria, Andrea and husband Nick; great-grandchildren, R.J., Serena, Analiese, Jeffrey, Steven, April, Bret, Alexa, Brooklyn, Jake, Nash Trent, Donna, Darlene, Danielle, John Paul, Malena, Shelby, Angelina and Michael; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends were regular visitors along with two sisters-in-law. DAVIS -- WESLEY KEITH (SNIPE) Born April 4, 1948, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Wes was a family man, survived by his loving wife, Amy Davis of Placitas; five children, James Davis and wife, Sonya of Albuquerque, Laura Davis of Boynton Beach, FL, John Davis and wife, Stephanie of Albuquerque, Gail Davis of Albuquerque, and Derek Lucero of Bloomington, IN; sister, Twalla Davis Brown and husband, Dan of Collinsville, TX; and grandchildren, Spencer Davis, Joshua Davis, and Dulea Davis all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins. Wes was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Davis and Vi Barnes Davis Corliss; and brother, Jack L. Davis. Wes was a Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War (1965-1969). After serving, he came home to Albuquerque and as many Viet Nam vets worked his way into a suitable career with the Department of Energy as part of the Federal Protective Force. He held this position at Los Alamos Labs, DOE Albuquerque, and Sandia Labs., retiring in 2009 after 30+ years of dedicated service. While serving Wesley attained several levels of proficiency in marksmanship competition. He was an avid drag racer and proud supporter at Albuquerque National Dragway for many years; racing his Silver and Blue Delta Uniforms 1971 Chevelle. Wes was also a proud member of the New Mexico Veteran's Motorcycle Association, with the nickname Snipe. Riding with and supporting the organization in its mission. Wes was saved at a young age at Sandia Baptist Church and through the years attended church with his family at several local churches. Wes knew Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He took comfort in Christ's promise of eternal life through faith in the atoning power of his death, and resurrection. Today he would encourage any who have not shared that personal experience with their savior to look to Him for the answer to their tomorrows. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November, 11, 2011, at French - Lomas Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November, 12, 2011, 10:00 a.m., at The San Antonio Mission Catholic Church in Placitas, NM, with a reception immediately following. Burial and a brief ceremony will be at the Veteran's National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on Tuesday, November, 15, 2011, with the procession leaving from French on Wyoming and San Antonio at 10:00 a.m. (ceremony to begin at 11:15 a.m.). HILLERY -- GEORGIA ANNETTE Georgia Annette Hillery, 90, of McIntosh, NM passed away November 7, 2011. She was born November 21, 1920 in Alameda, CA to Nettie and Col. C.A. "Phil" Phillips. Georgia and her husband Daren, who recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary, have been residents of McIntosh for 27 years. Georgia was preceded in death by her sister Norma Radcliffe. She is survived by her husband Daren Hillery; her sister Louise Warden; her children Richard Hillery, Kathy Curfman, Bob Hillery, Jeff Hillery, Liz Krueger; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Georgia's greatest joy was in being an inspirational mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her smile and warm personality were infectious. HOYDEN -- RENEE LYNN After a heroic battle with ovarian cancer, Renee Lynn Hoyden, 39, of Albuquerque, passed, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, surrounded by family and friends who love and care for her deeply. Renee was born to Phyllis Primeaux and Edward Hoyden, July 26, 1972, in Everett, Washington. She graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1990, received a B.S. in Exercise Science and an M.S. in Sports Management from the University of New Mexico in 2001 and 2002. Renee was an accountant and was passionate about baseball, football, and golf. She is survived by her two wonderful dogs, Athena and Hannah. KELLER -- MARTHA LESPERANCE J. (MARTI) Age 71, a life-long resident of Albuquerque passed away November 7, 2011 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Walter R. Keller; her son Len Lesperance, his wife Karen, granddaughter Monica and grandson Andrew; her son Matt Lesperance, wife Michelle, grandsons Kyle and Ryan; her daughter Pam Lesperance, granddaughter Tamara and grandson Ruben; sisters Theresa Aceves, and Esther Luna and Ester's husband Leo Luna. She was preceded in death by her parents Enrique and Mary Lourdes Aceves, her brother Johnnie Aceves and her Uncle Carlos Aceves. She was a member of Pope John XXIII Catholic Community Church. Marti was very active in her beloved PEO CHAPTER AM, NMFRW (Metro), and Casa Angelica. At her request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Pope John XXIII Catholic Community located at 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111. Bernadette is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel Pino; mother-in-law, Rosela Pino; son, Martin Nieto and wife Lisa Brown; three grandchildren, Isaac, Indica, and Xavier Nieto; four sisters, Mary Alice Torres and husband Sam, Dolores Miller and husband Gary, Libbie Palmer, and Elsie Garcia, as well as many family and friends who love and will miss her. SALAS -- MACLOVIO (MAC) Age 84, long time resident died unexpectedly Sunday, November 6, 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou in 2000. Mac is survived by his daughters, Sandra Baca and husband, Joel, and Loretta Garcia and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Kelsey Garcia, and Ryan Garcia, fiancee Leah Lucero and daughter, Gwen Garcia; sister, Evelia Griego and husband, David all of Albuquerque, NM. He was a successful painting and general contractor state wide for 38 years. Mac built, owned and leased commercial buildings in the metro area for many years. His life long hobbies included hunting, fishing, motorcycling, welding and maintaining his rental properties. Mac was a proud Democrat and loyal member of the Annunciation Parish. He was a devoted husband, father, and "Pompa" to his grandchildren and great-granddaughter as well as kind and generous to those he befriended. Mac will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, and those who crossed his path. No one was a stranger to Mac Salas! SHINAVER -- DAKOTA A. Born April 6, 1998 and passed away Oct. 26, 2011 at the age of 13. He was a handsome, happy, loving little boy. He is survived by his loving grandparents, David and Barbara Quintana, who raised him due to bi-lateral peri-sylvian syndrome; mother Stacy; brother Skyler Quintana; aunts, uncles, cousins and excellent caregivers. God made a sweet child. He was an angel here on earth and continues to watch over us in heaven. A cremation has already taken place. Services will be held Sat. Nov. 12 at the Church of Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. The Rosary for Dakota will begin at 9:30 am with Mass at 10:00 am.

THOMPSON -- HAROLD THOMAS Of Tijeras, NM, passed on the evening of Sunday, November 6, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Aztec, NM, on April 25, 1924, moved to Albuquerque in the mid to late 1930, attended Albuquerque High and on to the University of New Mexico. Harold enlisted in the Army Air Corp. and served gallantly in the European Theatre, including all five of the major battles of WWII. After the war, he returned to Albuquerque, married his high school sweet heart, Jacyne Langseth, raised three sons and built a successful career in the dental supply business. In the 1970's Harold retired and started a new career in real estate where he continued to be quite successful and active as head of his own firm until his death on Sunday. Harold is survived by his sister, Wilma Pearce; his three sons, Tom, Gene and LeRoy, their wives, children and grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011, 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Tijeras, 11820 Hwy 337, Tijeras, NM. Then a brief Graveside Service will be held at 12:45 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. He will be greatly missed. VAN BASTIAN -- THEODORE J. Age 85, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011. He was born in Chicago, IL on November 25, 1925 to Theo and Anna Van Bastian. He was preceded in death by his son, Theo Jr. and daughter, Tina LaCarrubba. Theodore is survived by his wife, Agnes Van Bastian of 58 years; daughter, Cheryl Sharp, Beth Lane and husband Jim, Linda Cooner and husband Mike, Steven Van Bastian and wife Beverly; ten grandchildren, Joshua Lane, Taylor Lane, Jimmy Lane, Carson Lane, Cami Martin, T.J. Sharp, Traci Sharp, Brandon Van Bastian, Tyler Van Bastian, Levi Van Bastian; three great-grandchildren. Theodore served with the Navy Subs during WWII. He moved to Rio Rancho in 1972, working for and retiring from General Electric. In his leisure time, he was the Manager of a Little League Team and a Scout leader. After retiring from G.E. he drove a school bus for the next ten years and also volunteered at the Rio Rancho Senior Center driving for special events. He enjoyed camping and loved flying radio controlled planes and was a member of Rio Rancho Controlled Airplane Club. He was a member of the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
