BRUNACINI -- VINCENT A. JR. Known and loved as "Manny" passed away on All Saints Day, November 1, 2011. He was born March 1, 1956 in Albuquerque, NM. Manny was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Gloria Brunacini; nephew, Michael Rossman. He is survived by his brother, Charles; sisters, Marianne Miera and husband Rudy, Gina Rossman; godson, Matthew Rossman and wife Johannah. Manny loved to play drums, garden and cook. He was an animal lover and is survived by his last two rescue dogs, Petey and Lucky Blondie. He was previously employed at NMDOL. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr Heidi Fleishman and Dr. Denise Aamodt and to Rosa Valencia and the staff at Princeton Place, 5th floor. Most especially Barbara Minor, who made his last days inclusive and joyful, who saw past the exterior to the interior. "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy" Matthew 5:7. CORDOBA -- ARMANDO M. SR. Age 78, native of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday October 29th at his home surrounded by his immediate family. He was born April 25, 1933. He married his teenage sweetheart, Antonia, in 1952. He was preceded in death by his three sons, Refugio, Abenicio and Armando Jr., and his son-in-law, Tracy Wilson. He is survived by his wife; three daughters; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; his beloved Chow dog, Oso. Rosary will take place 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Indian School Road and Martha. Services will take place 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3rd at St. Bernadette's followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Antonio Cordova, Francisco Cordoba, Lucas Cordoba, Dr. Kirk Manson, Victor Martinez, Yasmany Fuentes. His youngest grandchildren, Ezequiel and Moises, will serve as honorary pallbearers. GILLESPIE -- MAXINE VIRGINIA Age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. She is survived by sons, James Warren Hubbs of Albuquerque, NM, Richard Jackson and Dell Hubbs of Meridian, ID, and Charles Robert and Janie Gillespie of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Dojoni Gillespie, Darren Hubbs, Bobbi Gillespie, Billie Jo Smeltzer, and Janelle Hubbs; and great-grandchildren, Courtney and Caitlyn Zang, Jose, Janae, Diego, and Santiago Valdez. Mrs. Gillespie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nannie Lee (Bowman) Frye; her husband of 58 years, Charles R. Gillespie, Jr.; two brothers and five sisters. She found enjoyment in Western movies, books, music and bird watching, but her greatest love was her family. HARRISON -- HARRY RUSSELL (RUSS) Age 70, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, October 29, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Harrison; son, Larry Harrison (Saundra) of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Patti Bolton (John) of Vienna, VA; three grandchildren, Kevin and Alex Harrison and Kyle Bolton. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Russell Harrison Jr. and Delta Baize. He was a member of The Elks Lodge, Four Hills Country Club and Trustee of Southwest Carpenters. Russ really loved watching his grandsons in sports and playing golf. HAYES -- JOHN E. Age 70, beloved husband, brother and uncle, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011. He was born in Columbus, ID to the late Bernard and Laura Hayes and was a resident of Albuquerque. He worked a few years in the Bay area of San Francisco, CA in the steel industry before moving to Northern New Mexico in 1968 and worked for several years as a ranch Farm hand at the Young Ranch, where he met the love of his love, Myra. He attended the University of New Mexico and eventually went to work for Rio Grande Steel as a personnel manger until 1979 when the company was bought out by W W Steel Company in 1982 and worked as credit manager up to his retirement in 2006. He volunteered his services to the American Cancer Society and was an active member of the Ostomy Association of New Mexico and volunteered time to visit and orient new ostimates. John was a Board member for the Southwest Primary Learning Center since 2007. John is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Myra G. Hayes; his brother Bernard and wife Sandra Hayes of Logan, UT; Sister-in-law Theresa and husband Lupe Young of Questa, NM; nieces and nephews, Amy and husband Joel Tarango, Ross Hayes, The Young family, Deborah, Vincent, Vernon, Lt. Col. Georgette, Martin and wife Bernadine, Eugene and wife Julie Young; and many precious great-nieces and nephews. John will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. HOGLAND -- DONALD LLOYD Age 75, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died October 31, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born on March 21, 1936 in Albuquerque, NM to Fred and Thelma Hogland, and grew up here. Don graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1954, served in the US Navy, and was a long-haul truck driver for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and grandson, Christopher. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Ostic (Bronson) of Jerome ID; his brother, Drue Hogland (Betty Jo) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by five daughters, Donna Britton (Chris) of Mesa, AZ, Janice Rinehart (John) of Haslet, TX, Glenda Crouch (Joe) of Marlow, OK, Deana Squires (Rickey) of Taloga, OK, and April Charlton (Mark) of Monument, CO; 11 grandchildren; 10, soon to be 11 great-grandchildren. HOUSE -- HARRY EDWARD Age 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died on October 29, 2011. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on August 29, 1929. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary; children, Mary Sue House of Oklahoma City, OK, Harry House Jr. and his wife, Susan of Colleyville, TX, Frances Brown and her husband, Rodney of Abilene, TX, Thomas House of Albuquerque, NM, and Martha Hall and her husband, Michael of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ashley Brown, Kasey and TJ House, Blake, Kristin and Alexis Hall and two step-grandchildren. Mr. House was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Snow House, and brothers Leo, Andrew and Thomas House. Mr. House served 24 years in the USAF, retiring as a Major. Afterwards, he taught math at West Mesa High School for 22 years before retiring. In addition to teaching, he umpired a number of high school sports and for the city softball league for several of years. He served as an Elder at the Penn. JARRETT -- DEMARIS (DEE) Born 3/18/1931, passed from our hands to those of the Lord on 10/30/2011 at home, peacefully and in the company of her caring family. She was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and spent many summers on her uncle's farm in Seward NE. She attended Doane College in Crete NE, but departed early to enter the energetic passenger air industry as a stewardess. Her United Airline west coast routes included Seattle WA where she met her husband, W. Scott Jarrett. The courtship with Scott lead her to Washington DC and the two were wed in Omaha in 1954. Three of her children, David, Cherise and Robert arrived during the first four years spent in the DC area. Soon after heading west to Deming, NM in 1967, DeMaris delivered her 4th child, Steven. The family eventually settled and spent the next 43 years in Albuquerque, NM. Dee committed herself to her family and service to her community. Her many selfless volunteer efforts included those at Christ Lutheran and Faith Lutheran Churches, Presbyterian Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She regularly mixed the joy of friends with her pass times of bridge, chorus group and quilting. She is remembered as a devoted spouse, loving and supportive mother, and steadfast friend. Her spirit resonates within the hearts of her surviving sister Harriet Kokjer; brother Ken Kampfe; husband Scott; David and Susan Jarrett, Bill and Cherie Baker, Bob and Yvonne Jarrett and Steve Jarrett and Monet Canter; as well as nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. LEMONS -- CHARLES FREDERICK Age 88, of Albuquerque, New Mexico died October 31, 2011 at the VA Hospice Unit of a brain tumor. Charles was born in Troy, NC on June 11, 1923 to Fred Stanback Lemons and Minnie Lee (Blake) Lemons. Charles entered the US Army Air Corp in 1942 and proudly served his country through three wars, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, retiring in July, 1972 with the rank of Lt. Col. Among other honors he received the Bronze Star. Charles remained close to his military comrades and organized reunions for the 55th Troop Carrier Squadron and the Holloman AFB Photo Squadron. Charles graduated from the University of Albuquerque after he retired. After he retired from the Air Force he opened Landmark Realtors in Albuquerque and was in business until this year. Charles married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Libby" Lemons in July, 1947. They had one daughter Wanda, and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii, one of Charles favorite destinations. He loved travel and photography, and he and Libby visited most of the 50 states during retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Stanback Lemons and Minnie (Blake) Lemons and his brother Frank Lemons. Charles is survived by wife Elizabeth "Libby" Lemons; daughter Wanda Umber and husband Roger; his sister, Jane Holland of High Point, NC. A Visitation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Carlisle Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. MARKER -- MILDRED P. Age 93, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011. She was born August 8, 1918 in Indianapolis, IN and kept the Governor of Indiana awake on the night she was born. She is survived by two daughters, Meredith Jungst (Rudy) and Mitzi Zeri (Matt). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Michelle Overholt (Chris), Heather Jungst, Marie Baca, David Bueffel (Karin), Scott Bueffel (Jennifer) and Elizabeth Dreith (Doug); six great-grandchildren and one on the way. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Thomas F. Marker. She attended Stephens College and graduated from the University of Colorado in 1940. She was very active in many genealogy organizations including being a Charter Member and Past Regent of Charles Dibrell Chapter of DAR and a dual member of Colorado & New Mexico Society of Mayflower Descendents. She was also a member of The Ancient and Honorable Artillery, Huguenot Society, Daughters of Founders and Patriots, Magna Charta Dames, New England Women, Order of the Crown of Charlemagne and the New Mexico Society of The Colonial Dames of America. Rufina is survived by her husband of 64 years, Eloy Moya of Albuquerque; daughters, Camilla Baca and husband, Julian of Albuquerque, Marie Gonzales and husband, Ben of Chupadero, NM and Frances Ana Chavez and husband, Robert of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Jerome Moya and wife, Cindy of Peralta, NM, Eugene Moya and wife, Joann of Albuquerque, NM, Eloy A. Moya Jr. and wife Yolanda of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Alicia (Daniel) Benavidez, Mariana (Paul) Padilla, Celia (Dominic) Garcia, Elena Gonzales, Marie (Robert) Verdugo, Coral Chavez, Christina and Elizabeth Moya; grandsons, Julian A. He is survived by his wife, Dubie; son, Art Vigil and wife Pauline; daughter, Patricia Gutierrez and husband Martin Sr.; six grandchildren, Andrew, Art and Eric Vigil, Martin Jr., Antonio and Vicente Gutierrez; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lupita, Theresa and Mary; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon, NM., on Friday, November 4, 2011. The Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Lazy A Cane Ranch. Pallbearers will be Martin Jr., Antonio and Vicente Gutierrez, Sam and Abram Olguin, Mathew Gutierrez, Manuel Gallegos and Brian Sanchez.
