CHAVEZ -- FRED Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the age of 79. He was born October 11, 1932 to Leopoldo and Maria in Albuquerque, NM. Fred adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Fred retired from Consolidated Freightways. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Sally Chavez of 53 years; daughters, Suzanne Santillanes and husband Alfred and Carolyn Chavez; son, Freddy Chavez and partner Brad Pruitt; granddaughters, Monica Santillanes, and Julie Santillanes; grandson, Dominic Chavez; sister, Sally Barillas; brother, Benny Chavez and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. CORN -- CECILE MURIEL In Loving Memory of Cecile Muriel Corn: God called our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend home to welcome her with open arms on Sunday, October 9, 2011 so that she might serve a greater purpose. Cecile, who was an only child, was born at Nonsuch near Highgate, in St Mary Parish, Jamaica, B.W.I. on April 22, 1920. She met her beloved husband, Dick, in December 1942 on the steps of the USO in Kingston, Jamaica; they were married in June 1943 in the Panama Canal Zone and for 68 years they shared their remarkable love with family, friends, and community in service, work, and play. While raising five children Cecile became a U.S. citizen, received an LPN degree and practiced as a Nurse in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She retired and was a founding docent at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History where she spent time digging for dinosaurs and educating children at the museum. Cecile was an active member of St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church for 48 years and then of Christ the King Anglican Church since its inception two years ago. She and Dick moved to California earlier this year to be closer to their daughter and granddaughters. Cecile was preceded in death by her parents, Captain and Mrs. Ronald Coy Swire Rutty; daughters, Cecile Andrea King and Patricia Ann Graeme. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dick; son Rick Corn and wife Earleen; daughters, Peggy Landis and husband Bill, and Susan Fladager and husband Curt; grandchildren Ronald Rutty, Bill Graeme, Michele Farrell and husband John; Richard Corn IV; Kelly Manwill and husband Chris; Beth Blackmon and husband Jason; Mylaina Landis, and Megan Escobar and husband Ruben; great grandchildren Patricia and Alexander Graeme; Weston Farrell; Stacey, Brook, Kaylah, and Christopher Manwill; George and Caroline Corn; and Isaiah and Ezekiel Escobar. A Celebration of Cecile's Life will be held on Saturday, 11:00 AM, October 29, 2011 at Christ the King Anglican Church, 5300 2nd Street NW, Albuquerque, by Rev. Dr. Wells. GABALDON -- ROSALIA A resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011. Mrs. Gabaldon is survived by her children, Stan Gabaldon and wife, Ana, Gloria Montano and husband, Mike, Ernest Gabaldon, and Benny Gabaldon and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Miguel, Edie, Julianna, Sammy, Erica, Lucinda, Tammy, Jacob, Marco, JaVonn, Barbara, Ernesto, Sophia, Josephine, and Estevan; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members. Mrs. Gabaldon was preceded in death by her husband, Jacobo Gabaldon; son, Jack L. Gabaldon; and brother, Amador Padilla. Mrs. Gabaldon was a member of the Catholic Church. HILL -- GARY L. Age 62, died suddenly and peacefully on October 19, 2011. With him at his passing were his wife, Jo Ann; son, Travis; brother, Bob Hill; sisters, Donna Sievert and Liz Hill; and brother, Don Hill and his family; Gary is also survived by step-children, Rhonda, Jeff and Rod of California and their families. A career railroader, Gary worked as a Track Supervisor on the Santa Fe and BN/SF RRs until 2009. His retirement was brief but jam-packed with all the things Gary loved: traveling with his wife, camping and fishing with his family and doing whatever he could to make everyone else's life a little easier. Touching so many lives with his kindness, love and generosity, Gary's only enemies were those "damn gophers" who plagued his meticulous landscaping. We love you, Gary. KLECKNER -- BARBARA Age 91, died at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Born July 1, 1920, she grew up in Oklahoma, and settled in California. Barbara moved to Albuquerque in 1998. Barbara is survived by her daughter Gayle Green Gilb and husband Mike; daughter Nancy Green Smith and husband Wayne; her sister Joann Miller; grandchildren - Michael Gold, Heather Moore and husband Dan, Dustin Strasburg and wife Becky, Amy Payne and husband Brian, and Crystal Wilson; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul. The family would like to thank the staff of Senior Care Mountain House, as well as Heritage Hospice for their professional and compassionate care of Barbara, and extend more thanks to all who took care of Barbara over the years.

LEWIS -- HILLIARD H. JR. 85, Colonel USA Retired, died Thursday, October 20, 2011. Born in Roswell, NM, August 3, 1926, he lived there and in Albuquerque except for the time of his military career. He was a Husband, a Father, and a Soldier. He was the son of Hilliard and Margaret Lewis, and is survived by Carol, his wife of 62 years, three sons, H. H. III and wife, Debi of Juneau, Alaska; Grant and wife, Janet of Bloomsburg, IN, and Paul of La Cueva, NM; and by daughter, Janet and partner, Catherine of Laguna Beach, CA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Claude and wife, Nancy and sister, Dorothy and husband, Norman Ribble, and a large extended family. At 17, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps Reserves, was called to duty and served one year at the end of World War II. He returned to attend and graduate from the University of New Mexico, was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the NM Army National Guard, was called to active duty at the outbreak of the Korean War. He received a regular army commission in 1953 and remained on active duty until retiring as a Colonel in 1979. At the time of his retirement in 1979, he was the Deputy Commander of Fort Bliss, Texas. He served a total of 36 years in Germany, Okinawa, Alaska, Vietnam, and in a number of stateside assignments. He was a Thirty-Third Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and the Shrine. He was a Past Master of Temple Lodge 6, and actively engaged in the activities of the Boy Scouts of America and the Association of the US Army. PATTON -- WALDINE M. Age 76 was born February 4, 1935 in Abilene, TX. She passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 and was a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by husband, Roy Patton of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Michael (Holly) Patton of Midland, TX, and Royce (Betty) Patton of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Allan (Lisa) Patton, Shan (Erica) Patton, Brian Patton and Jesse Patton; and granddaughter, Crystal (Kevin) Laman. Waldine was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Bea Moore; her son, Scott Patton; and her twin sister, Geraldine. She was a member of Red Hats, 1st Lady of the Shrine in 2000, the Assistance League of Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Country Club. Waldine loved gardening, entertaining family and friends, and cooking. For 27 years she and her husband owned and operated Krystals NFL Shoppe until retirement in January of 2010. She also loved traveling, boating, fishing and going on cruises. Waldine really enjoyed playing "Bridge" and loved spending time with her grandchildren. SEAY -- JAMES ROBERT (BOB) Age 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, born in Encino, NM, died October 21, 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife "Cha" Pauline Elizabeth Seay of Albuquerque, NM; children, three sons, Rob, Don and wife, Terri, and Mike and his wife, Cindy, all from Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Sheena, Jordan, Lauren, and Alysa and her husband, Ryan. Bob was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sean and Ella. He is also survived by his older sister, Jeanne; brother, Howard also of NM; many nieces and nephews. Bob joined the Air Force because of the love for his country and while serving his country in his spare time learned to fly planes which was another great love and passion that he shared with his wife. Bob left the military in 1952 and worked for Sandia Sand and Gravel Company, he and his wife saved their money and opened an Earthmoving Company in Albuquerque that is still in business today (Aztec Grading Inc.). Bob continued his love for planes by flying his virtual flight simulator that his son, Don set up for him. Bob loved his family and country with all his heart and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. SEDILLOS -- STEVEN PAUL Age 51, our special angel on earth, joined his mother in the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, October 21, 2011. Born, April 12, 1961, the youngest of nine children, Steven, blessed us with 51 years of joy. Steven lived his life with an innocent spirit and unconditional faith in the Lord. He served devoutly as an usher at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church. He was an athlete in the NM Special Olympics Ski, Cycling and Bowling Teams. He graduated from Manzano High School in 1981 and retired, after 25 years of service, from Albuquerque Public Schools. Steven is survived by his father, Frank Sedillos; brother, John Sedillos and wife, Linda; sister, Kathy Jaramillo and husband, Allen; brother, Danny Sedillos; sister, Maria "Lena" Trujillo and husband, Ace; sister Barbara Sedillos; brother, Randy Sedillos and Liza Knight; sister-in-law, Karen Sedillos; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Steven was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Sedillos; brothers Frank "Bosque" Sedillos Jr., and Rick Sedillos. WOODS -- ROSARIO MORENO Age 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in her home surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by husband of 50 years, Mark L. Woods of Albuquerque, NM; children, Rosa M. Woods of Denver, CO, Mark E. Woods and wife, Jodie of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Amanda, Melanie, Ryan, John, Francisco, Shannan, Russell and Madison; great-grandson, Jeremy; sister, Dolores Moreno; nieces, Mary and Carmen; and numerous family and friends in Spain and around the world. Rosario was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Rosario; siblings, Pepe, Francisca, Antonio, Eduardo and an infant sister. Rosario was a force of life and a social butterfly. She was happiest surrounded by friends and family, loved to cook, entertain and will be remembered for her Spanish croquetas and tortillas. She loved to sing, dance, throw parties, shop and visit her native country of Spain. Rosario was strong-willed, and always took care of her family and friends. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and Rosary will be recited Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria NE. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., also at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church with Father Fernando Rubio, Celebrant.
