VALENCIA -- Gabriel N. Valencia, age 25, beloved son, brother and father, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 8, 2010. He was born on December 28, 1984 in Albuquerque, and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. Gabriel is survived by his loving parents, Joseph Valencia and Gloria Chavez; his precious children, Mateo and Gabriella; his fianc, Median Caster; his brothers, Pat and wife Brooke, Jerry and fianc Yolanda; five nieces and five nephews; his paternal grandmother, Josie Valencia; his maternal grandmother, Angelina Baldonado; nine uncles; ten aunts; 31 cousins; and other numerous relatives and friends. Gabriel will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Patrick Valencia, Adam Valencia, Victor Leyba, Anthony Baldonado, Benji Madrid and Ronald Apodaca. ABEYTA -- Rev. Eppie Abeyta born in Leadville, Colorado on March 24, 1924 to Teofilo and Maria Abeyta went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lydia Abeyta; brother Wences Abeyta; and sister Severa DeAguerro. Survived by his children: James Abeyta and wife Belia, David Abeyta and wife Tina, JoAnn Rios and husband Manny, Dorothy Padilla and husband Jose', Liz Gutierrez and husband John, Neomi Guerrero and husband Martin; and his grandchildren James Abeyta, Jr. and Denise Morang; Vanessa Buffington and Jessica Sanchez, Mario Abeyta, Marcos Abeyta, and Joy Varela, Carlos Gutierrez, Tomas Gutierrez, and Natalie Gutierrez; Candace McKillip and Elias Guerrero; nine great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces, friends and relatives, and fellow clergy. He was preceded in death by brother Tony Abeyta, sister Sally Abeyta, and granddaughter Elaine Lovato. Rev. Abeyta was a retired ordained minister and member of the Central Latin American District Council of the Assemblies of God Fellowship and resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He and his loving wife pastored many churches throughout New Mexico for over 30 years. He was considered the pillar and patriarch of the family and will be sorely missed by his family and numerous friends and relatives. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services that will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Harvest Fellowship Church at 5331 Montano NW. CANDELARIA -- Joe I. Candelaria, 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 12, 2010. Mr. Candelaria is survived by his children, Joe Candelaria and wife, Debbie, Dennis Candelaria and wife, Carmen, and Cindy Candelaria; six grandchildren, Andrew, Simone, Chloe, Raquel, Santiago, and Xochitl; his sisters, Berna Martinez and husband, Al, Sandra Lucero and husband, Chano, and Dolores Montoya and husband, Freddie; his brothers, Charlie Candelaria, and Johnny Ray Candelaria; and many other extended family members. Mr. Candelaria was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; his brothers, David, Lupe, and Eloy; and his sister, Josie. Visitation will be Thursday, May 13, 2010 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., by Mrs. Martha Herrera. Final visitation will be Friday at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Father Mike Cimino, presider. CANDELARIA -- Lucy Candelaria, 86, was a Loving, Caring, and Beautiful Mama, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. She was deeply devoted to her kids and grandkids and always sought to teach them to "be good". A member of Sacred Heart Parish for over 40 years, she helped around the church in countless ways including cleaning the church and arranging the altar. She Loved singing with various choirs throughout the years, and praying and singing with the Legion of Mary. She prayed every day at home too, and though she took life seriously, she loved to laugh and joke. One of her pastimes was baseball and her favorite teams were the Dukes and Braves. Lucy is survived by her brother Gil Candelaria and wife Flora; son Louie Sanchez and wife Christina; daughter Marie Yvette Pedroncelli and husband Mike; four grandkids: Robert, Evelina, David, and Carlos; and seven great-grandkids: Rosicela, Gabriela, Miquela, Emiliano, Israel, Milahna, and Santiago. Join the family for a celebration of her life at Garcia's Restaurant, 4917 4th St NW (near Griegos) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

CLEVENGER -- Sally Clevenger, 67, went to heaven on May 11, 2010. Sally was survived by her beloved husband Randall of 46 years; her children, Matthew, Paula, Carol, Michelle, and Keith; her grandchild, Kyra; her brother William Masters and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary. Sally was a beautiful, compassionate, and generous woman loved by her family and all who were fortunate enough to meet her. COLLINS -- Sean B. Collins, age 40, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, was taken to Our Lord's Arms on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Sean was employed with Presbyterian Hospital and was currently attending Apollo College, pursuing a degree in nursing. He loved his dog, Paige and had a great love for everyone and will be greatly missed. Sean was preceded in death by his mother, whom he dearly loved, Faith Joy Upshaw; his grandmother, Eleanor Heidel and by his sister-in-law, Nina Arguello. He is survived by his wife, Cabrini; children, Michael, Adrian, Nicole, Gabriel and Celina; his father, Gene Upshaw; sister, Jennifer Glover and children, Kelsie, Kaylee and Trey; aunt, Barbara Davison; cousins, Scott Davison, Julie Ryan and Theresa Humphrey; father and mother-in-law, Edward and Judy Arguello; brother's-in-law, Mark Arguello and family, Billy Arguello and family; sister-in-law, Karesse Arguello; other family members, Cynthia Collins, Jessica, Mark, Sonrisa and Seanray; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly. DALBY -- Walter J. Dalby, went to meet with our Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2010, after a long illness. Walter was born in Temple, TX, July 22, 1926 to Walter and Florence Dalby. He graduated from Albuquerque High School May 21, 1943. Walter served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946. He married Alta Arlene Premer on June 3, 1949. She passed away October 30, 1970. Walter received his B.S.M.E. degree from the UNM, July 5, 1950 and worked at Sandia National Laboratories as a Mechanical Design Engineer, 1950 to 1956 and 1958 to 2001. He worked at Phillips Petroleum in Idaho Falls, ID, from 1956 to 1958. Walter married Bernice J. Casey on May 16, 1987. He is survived by his wife, Bernice; brother, William Joseph Head and wife, Mary; son, John F. Dalby of Flagstaff, AZ; daughter, Karyn A. Reid and husband, Gary of Rico, CO; son, Michael W. Dalby and wife, Vicky of Albuquerque; one granddaughter; several stepchildren; step-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew. The family will be forever grateful for the professional, tender, and loving care he received from the doctors, nurses, and other professionals at UNM Hospital. A rosary will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010, 6:00 p.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 14, 2010, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, 2532 Vermont St. NE. DUGAN -- Dr. Robert Perry Jr., age 78, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lynne; his son Bob III and wife Alisa and kids Robby IV and Bailey of Albuquerque; daughter Cheri and husband Ted Rifkin and kids Riley and TJ of Durango, CO; sisters Carol and husband Ross Rhoads of Charlotte, NC and Connie and husband Dave Voss of Laguna Niguel, CA; and many nephews and nieces. Bob moved here eight months ago from Palm Desert, CA with Lynne to be nearer his family. He devoted his life to the service of Jesus Christ at the early age of seven. Bob graduated with honors from Wheaton College, and then Fuller Seminary in CA. His first church was in Rochester, NH from 1959-63, then Elmhurst, IL from 1963-70, Denver, CO from 1970-78. He ran for U.S. Congress in 1976, then became Director of Public Affairs and V.P. for National Assn. of Evangelicals in Washington, D.C. from 1978-2000. He counseled with every President from Carter to Clinton as the Champion for Christian Causes in America. He was a hero to his bon Bob III and grandson Robby IV as they share his name and destiny. We all loved him and miss him so much, but know his homecoming in Heaven is a brilliant glory in Christ. A Memorial celebration will be held at Calvary Chapel in the Hub, 4001 Osuna NE on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 12:00 noon.
