MARSH -- Joan A. Marsh In Memory of Joan A. Marsh Loving Wife, Mom, and Grandma who passed a year ago today. We Love and Miss You! When I was little she knew just about everything And there was always a new something from an antique shop from around the corner. I spent so many "girls days" wandering around antique stores not touching a thing; looking at the many beautiful things that might go to my grandma's house. The beautifully finished furniture that fills my grandma's house; to the antique sugar bowls that have so much detail. Everything in my Grandma's house had a story just like she had so many to tell! She was the glue that kept us all connected, effortlessly so it seemed! Her family so important to her, she always made time to listen, though so honest she was, she would not hesitate with her opinion. With her life so full, between family and friends, she never stopped living any day! She moved about life with a grace and wisdom foreign to me. The stress of work, marriage, family, and friends never getting in the way! Such a small woman she seemed to be, but she was always doing something and her strength and courage would push just about anything out of the way! My earliest Christmas memories were at my grandparents house. A feast of food spread across the counters, a Christmas tree so big and lit so bright. And my Grandma, in the kitchen, in a Christmas apron, making sure everything goes just right! One of the most memorable things about walking into my grandparent's house growing up was opening the front door, and hearing four barking dogs run up to greet you! My Grandma would call out from the kitchen, "Hello!" but they would still bark! My Grandma loved her puppies, and they loved her so much too! Of the many words to put down on paper, one runs out when talking about her. There is so many things she was, and still is to so many! She was the bravest person I knew! And although she is gone now, physically, and we can't hug her, I see her in the things that she did, in the many faces of our family and the steps they continue to take! Written by Amber, her granddaughter.
