ANAYA -- Kathy Anaya was sent to the Lord on February 7, 2010 - born on December 20, 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Phyllis Harmount; and brothers Billy and Johnny Harmount. She is survived by oldest daughter Theresa Anaya; son Nicholas Anaya and youngest daughter Tara Anaya; granddaughter Adriana Hunter and grandson Devon Hunter; siblings brother and sister Daniel and Diane Harmount. Kathy was a beloved mother and grandmother and everyone will definitely miss her sarcastic humor. We ALL love you MOM and you will never be forgotten. BARTON -- Dolores B. Barton, 58, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Paul Barton of the family home; daughters, Michelle Ledford and husband Ricky of Las Vegas, NV, Julianna Martinez and fiance Tony Martinez of Albuquerque; step-sons, Sean and Casey Barton, both of Edgewood; grandchildren, Sabrina and Jake Ledford; her mother, Eloisa Baca; siblings, Ruben Baca, Arlene O'Hara and fiance Bill Sweazy, Carl Baca and fiancee Eloisa Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Rafael Baca. Dolores was retired from Smith's Food and Drug and most recently employed with Kirtland Federal Credit Union. She was deeply loved and her smile will be greatly missed. CHIADO -- Joseph John Chiado, Jr., 62, a local resident for 13 years, died at his home on Monday, February 8, 2010. He was born on March 7, 1947 in Albuquerque, NM to Joseph John Chiado, Sr. and Mary A. (Aranda) Chiado. Joe was honorably discharged in 1968 after serving in the U.S. Army. He was self-employed working in sales and as a developer. Joe adored his wife, children, family, friends, and even extended his kindness to strangers. His passion and creativity enlivened all the people around him. He told the best stories, loved to laugh and appreciated art and the beauty of nature. He lived life fully, unafraid to lay it on the line. He will always be remembered for his sincerity and pizzazz. Survivors include his wife, Judy Chiado of TorC, NM; his children, Michael Chiado and wife, Erica, of Snellville, GA, Cameron Chiado of Albuquerque, NM, Angelo Chiado and fiancee, Kristin, of Las Vegas, NV, Haymish Chiado of Las Vegas, NV and Amanda Chiado and husband, Fabio Bozzi, of Hollister, CA; his mother, Mary Chiado of Fruita, CO; his sister, Angie Jones and husband, Dave, of Fruita, CO; nine grandchildren; by numerous other family members and many close friends; and by his little dog, Monster. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph John Chiado, Sr.. Cremation will take place and a Memorial Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 1389 in Elephant Butte, NM. ISLER -- John Jacob Isler, 82, born on October 6, 1927 in Columbia, NC, passed away on February 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his son Steven J. Isler. He is survived by his wife Sally; sons, Glenn and wife Maria, Randy, Larry, Brian and Mathew; daughters, Lynn and husband Rick Dishong, Lindy and husband Bob Veretto; many loved grandchildren; and many loved great-grandchildren. John served honorable for 23 years in the US Air Force. John will be buried with full military honors on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

JORDEN -- Cindy LaVonne Jorden 51, a long time resident of San Diego, Ca. relocated back to Albuquerque to be with family, passed away Friday February 5th, 2010 to be with the Lord. She is survived by her mother Kate Cooke; her children, Elmer Cooke III, Brandon Jorden and Desiree Jorden; her brother and sisters: Robert Cooke and wife Lucia of Albuquerque, Sherwood Vickers and husband Steve of Rio Rancho, Madonna Bayham and husband Bob of Arizona, Brenda Sayles and husband Victor of Albuquerque, and Kim Long and husband Larry of Albuquerque; one grandchild Kloie; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Cindy was preceded in death by her father Elmer Cooke Sr. A Rosary will be recited by Loretta Romero at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass recited by Deacon Charles Lucero on Monday February 15, 2010 at San Jose Parish 2401 Broadway SE, Albuquerque. LUCERO -- Lucy Lucero, born May 24, 1914 to Evaristo and Luz (Baca) Lucero, passed away February 9, 2010. She was preceded in death her parents and siblings: Frances Chavez (Alfred), Sophie Sanchez (Herman), Josie Varela (Willie), Jake Lucero (Petrita) and Della Linson. She was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years, mostly at the Los Lunas Elementary Schools. She was a devoted parishioner of San Clemente Parish in Los Lunas where she was a religious Education director and teacher and lector, where the religious education center was named after her. She served as a lector at Holy Rosary Parish in Albuquerque, member of the Blue Army and supporter of the Southwest Franciscan Missions. During her teaching career she was invited to mentor and train teachers in Honduras. She with her mother and sister, Sophie, loved to travel and she shared many stories, especially of her trips to Rome, Israel and other locations special to Catholic history. She was proud of her family history, always eagerly sharing information of Lucero, Baca, Delgado and Romero family ties. Lucy will be remember for her love of church and family. While she had no children of her own all of her nieces and nephews received the benefit of her love, her desire for education and her support. She is survived by her nieces, nephews: Gene and Yvette Varela (who were her recent caregivers), Henry Chavez, Fred (Elizabeth) Chavez , Carmela Chavez, Tito (Mary) Chavez, Jamie Chavez, Juanita Baca (Deacon Rudy), Frank Chavez (Susan), Frank Chavez (Susan), Martin Varela (Francisca), Ramona Varela, Maria Varela, Billy Varela (Mildred), Theresa Varela, David Varela (Gloria), Helen Tafoya (Albert), and Elizabeth Santamaria (Jose). She is also survived by many special cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Henry Chavez, Jaime Chavez, Martin Varela, Billy Varela, Eugenio Varela and Diego Varela. LUJAN -- Herman Luis Lujan, 59, a resident of Albuquerque passed away January 27, 2010. Mr. Lujan is survived by two brothers, Edward Perez and wife Patsy, Anthony Lujan and wife Letha; two sisters, Marcella Delgado and Pedro Hernandez and Maria Candelaria. Also numerous nieces and nephews. A Special Thank You to Princeton Place Nursing Home and Heartland Hospice for the caring and treatment of Herman. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund as been set up in Herman's name at Rio Grande Credit Union. Cremation has taken place and a Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 13, 2010 at San Jose Mission Duranes in Los Duranes 2110 Los Luceros Rd. MANG -- Shanna L. Mang, 28, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010. Shanna is survived by her parents, Thomas and Merlinda Mang; her brothers and sisters, Bengy Maestas Jr. and wife, Therese, Richard Maestas, Arleen Crooks, Robert Maestas and wife, Cathy, T. J. Mang and wife, Melanie; her grandparents, Howard and Grace Black; her aunts and uncles, David Marquez and wife, Pauline, Ron Marquez and wife, Julia; nieces and nephews, Brian Maestas, Renee Maestas, Brianna Crooks, Jayden Mang, Jasmine Mang; her fiance, Michael Frison; and many extended family, friends and coworkers at the Cancer Center. Shanna attended St. Mary's Catholic School, St. Pius X High School, and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1999. MATTEUCCI -- Lawrence Amedeo Matteucci passed away peacefully on February 10 with his sons at his side. He was 87 years old. Lawrence was born and raised in Albuquerque. He attended St. Mary's and Albuquerque High School. Lawrence's family was one of several Italian families that settled in the Albuquerque area in the early part of the 20th century. As a child he worked in his father's grocery store, Matteucci/Palladino, and was a veteran of WWII in the European campaign. Lawrence was the long time proprietor of Larry's Package Store on 2nd Street and was loved by his many customers. Lawrence is survived by sons, Derek Matteucci, of Los Angeles, CA, Tom Matteucci of Portland, OR; stepson, Gary Chorre of Belen, NM; his ex-wife, Lillian Matteucci, of Belen, NM; his three nephews, Paul, Edward and Raymond and their descendants. He was very much loved by all and will be missed dearly. During the last decade of Larry's life, he was a resident of the Woodmark Assisted Living Facility. Larry could be seen on any given day playing cards, engaging in group exercise class, attending field trips and all around having fun. He was a favorite of all the staff and loved by his fellow residents. He will be missed by all. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010 in the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel with Deacon Manuel Montoya, officiant. O'DONNELL -- Angelina F. O'Donnell, 90, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010. She is survived by her daughter,Maureen Nunez and son-in-law, Porfirio Nunez of Rio Rancho, NM; son, Richard O'Donnell of Yadkinville, NC; four grandsons, Richard O'Donnell, Griffith O'Donnell, Michael Reeves and Porfirio Nunez, Jr; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Bartholomew Ficarra of Toms River, NJ. Angelina worked for NJ Bell Telephone for 35 years and at the age of 83 retired from her second career at Harris Teeter Grocery Chain in Statesville, NC as a cashier. ORTIZ -- Carol A. Ortiz, 45, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Ernest Ortiz; mother Betty Angel; father Ed Angel; daughters Angel Kepple, Krystal Hernandez and husband Manuel; sons Fabian, Cesario, and Joaquin Ortiz and wife Sarah; sisters Jeannette Kearny and husband Kelly, and Laura Lynn Banda; niece Larinda Kearny; and nephew Eric Banda; grandchildren Kalyn and Adan Hernandez. She graduated from West Mesa High School in 1983 and for the past 11 years has proudly worked for McDonald's. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed by all that ever knew her. RIPLEY -- Albert B. Ripley, 84, a 40 year resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010. Albert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nell; daughter, Anneliese and husband Robert Thomas and their two daughters of Dillon, MT; son, Paul and wife Dorothy and their two daughters of Albuquerque; son, Brian and wife Chin and their son and daughter of Roseville, CA; and brother, Dana Ripley of Durham, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William; and two sons Eric and David. He was born in Chelsea, MA to Wallace and Helen Ripley and grew up in Maine. He joined the Army in 1943 and served with Company G, 377th Infantry Regiment, 95th Division, European theatre, WWII. Albert graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. He served with the U.S. Public Health Service in Staten Island, NY and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He transferred to the Indian Health Service branch of the PHS and served in Anchorage, AK, Crow Agency, MT, Albuquerque, NM, Monrovia, Liberia, and returned to Albuquerque until retirement. From 1971 to 1993, he worked as a retail Pharmacist for various Albuquerque drug stores and as a relief Pharmacist for K-mart. He also volunteered with the Albuquerque Police Department, VITA tax preparation, and Kirtland AFB Pharmacy. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010; Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle NE; Albuquerque, NM. Interment will be held at a later date. SHIVELY -- Margaret Ruth Shively, 89, resident of Albuquerque, passed into Heaven Saturday, February 6, 2010. Margaret was in good health, until she had a massive stroke on Wednesday evening. She is survived by her daughter, Lindeth Vasey of Great Britain; son, Lloyd Lawrence Shively and wife, Patricia of Corrales, NM; granddaughter, Deborah Ponce and husband, Steven; and great-granddaughters, Cadence Ponce and Scarlette Ponce; step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ponce. She will be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Lawrence Shively; and parents, Lucien and Edith Voorhees of Twin Falls, Idaho. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Donald, Lucien, and Leslie Voorhees. Margaret was a loving giver who passed her piano skills on to her granddaughter. WATTS -- Edith J. Watts, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. She is survived by six daughters, Dorothy Watkins, Louise (Richard) Babb, Carol (French) Clevenger, Joyce (John) Long, Linda (Steven) Burkett, Frances Watts; nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Walter Robert Watts; daughter, Mary Ellen Watts; son-in-law, Kenneth Watkins; and two great-grandchildren, Patrick Garcia and Jordan Juarez. Edith was born in Bloomington, IL to Harry and Eva Pearl Monkman in 1926. Edith married Walter Robert in 1941. After raising their family they moved to Albuquerque in 1973. In later years she moved to Sayre, OK where she passed away. A service will be held at French - University Chapel, on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 2:00 pm. WILLIAMS -- Lawrence "Larry" E. Williams, 94, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
