AGUILAR -- Stella N. Aguilar, age 86, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 6, 2009. She was born on June 5, 1923 and was a life long resident of Bernalillo, NM. Stella was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. She enjoyed cooking, art, dancing, music and going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luciano and Carolina Nieto; her husband, Ramon R. Aguilar; a son Martin R. Aguilar; a grandson, Christopher R. Aguilar; and several siblings. Stella is survived by her loving son Charles Aguilar and wife Barbara of Bernalillo; a daughter-in-law, Mannie Aguilar; four grandchildren, Lawrence and wife Wendy, Charles R. and wife Staci, Roberta Aguilar and Martin Aguilar; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Chris and Anthony. Also surviving are her sister, Anita Miera; three nephews whom she cared for, Jerry Nieto, Larry Navarro and Tony Navarro; and several other nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Stella will be greatly missed by all. A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. AYOTTE -- Albert Louis, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Albert was born in Madawaska, Maine, on April 11, 1936, the first born of Patrick and Irene Ayotte. Surviving him are his wife Milli; his daughter M'Lee Beazley and husband Richard Beazley; son Erick Ayotte; and granddaughter Jamie Beazley and her fiance Jeremy Garcia. He also leaves eleven brothers and sisters surviving him. Albert was employed by Sandia National Labs for 27 years, and retired on April 3, 1997. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel. DELGADO -- Aurora M. Delgado, 67, passed away the morning of Friday, December 4, 2009. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Diego David Delgado; her mother, Julianna Guerra; and four of her siblings. Aurora is survived by her husband, J. Frank Delgado, Jr.; her children, Dora Delgado-Raby and husband, Ralph-David Raby, Frank Delgado, III and wife, Barbara Delgado, Patricio A. Delgado and Maribel A. Delgado; her grandchildren, Frankie Delgado and fianc Candice Lovato, Gabriella Delgado and Mirea Delgado; her great-grandchild, Maya Gianna Delgado; her siblings, Alicia, Ramon, Arturo, Ustolia, and Raquel; her cousin, Elvira Hernandez; as well as other family and friends who loved her and will miss her. Aurora and Frank were married 47 years. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish for 42 years. Aurora was a loving, strong, unbelievable woman. GARDNER -- Harold Gardner, 91, passed away peacefully with his wife at his bedside on Saturday, November 28, 2009. Harold served through the "Battle of the Bulge" in Belgium with the 87th Infantry Division in the Army. Harold was awarded both the BRONZE STAR MEDAL and THE MEDAL OF FRANCE. He married his wife, Ann, on January 9, 1943. Together they have three children, Lois Seibel and husband, John; Terry Gardner and wife, Janet; and Robert Gardner and wife, June; four grandchildren, Michael Seibel and wife, Shari, Leigh Mater and husband, Rob, Shannon Sanders and husband, Michael, and Tracy Campagnano and husband, Chris; along with five great-grandchildren, John, Abigail and Joseph Seibel, Ryan Mater and Nico Campagnano. The family would like to thank the staff at Albuquerque Heights Rehab and the staff of Hospice of the Sandias for their continued support and care given to Harold. HAMRAH -- Edna Helen (Aboussie) Hamrah, 90, of Albuquerque, passed away on December 6, 2009. Edna was born June 23, 1919 to Lebanese immigrants, Chafia and Yusef Aboussie, in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved with her family to Texas at the age of 13. She married Salim Hamrah in 1947 and moved from Wichita Falls, Texas to Albuquerque. For decades, she and Salim hosted a broad range of international visitors and new residents to Albuquerque, bringing a richness of diverse culture into their lives. Throughout the years, Edna became the much loved and respected matriarch of this group, consisting of all ages, nationalities and religions. She had friends from many walks of life and loved entertaining. Edna and Salim owned and operated a leading children's clothing store, Tots and Teens, later to become The Children's Shop and then the children's department of Margo's la Mode. Edna loved her adopted home and the lifetime friends she acquired, all of whom became her Albuquerque family. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and two sisters. Edna is survived by her son, Peter Hamrah of Albuquerque, and grandchildren; Jennifer, Monique and Jonas. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Marge Aboussie and Marie Aboussie, both of Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Edna will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at French ~ Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE. HARRISON -- Paul Duane Harrison, our beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend was born on September 30, 1942 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2009. HARRISON -- T. Jean Harrison earned top honors as a college professor and newspaper editor, but her favorite role was being a grandmother to Elizabeth Anne Harrison, Sydney, Australia; Leah Anne Harrison, Snohomish, WA; Katherine Harrison Ogawa and Allison Harrison Ogawa, Albuquerque, NM. Jean Harrison died December 4, 2009 at the age of 72. She was born Jan. 5, 1937 in New Hampton, IA, the daughter of Robert Faraday Davies and Gwendolyn Kern Davies. She married Bruce A. Harrison on August 29, 1959, in Cresco, IA. They were the parents of two children, Mark Allen Harrison and Diane Jean Harrison Ogawa. Jean Harrison graduated from Cresco High School and received her bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Iowa where she was the managing editor of the Daily Iowan.An award-winning journalist, Jean Harrison was the editor of The Star Herald in Luverne, MN, which she co-owned with her husband, Bruce. During President Jimmy Carter's term in office she was invited to the White House along with a handful of editors from across the country to meet the president. Later, she served as an assistant professor of journalism at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Albuquerque, NM. Jean Harrison is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Brenda Mann Harrison, Snohomish, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Gregory Harrison Ogawa, Albuquerque, NM; four granddaughters; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Caryl Davies, Eastman, WI; two sisters-in-law, Reita Hall, Macon, GA, and Nina Osborne, Anthon, IA; one aunt, Helen Jean Kercheval, Cedar Falls, IA; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. JANKOWSKI -- Isabelle Bernadette Jankowski, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Isabelle is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard; daughter, Dr. Rebecca M. Jankowski (Paul Therkildsen); son, Bryan C. Jankowski (Paula Price); daughter, Catherine A. She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary Rafalski and brother Michael J. Rafalski, Jr. Isabelle was born in South Bend, IN, where she met and married Richard. They moved to New Mexico in June, 1958. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, and gardening, especially flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and prayer group. LEMON -- Glenn Lemon died suddenly on Sunday, December 6, 2009. He was born in Delta, CO on April 10, 1934 to Velda and Ralph Lemon. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Janice Lemon; his daughter, Tamara and her husband Mike Legendre, their two sons Gabriel and Nicholas; his sister Betty and her husband Bud Anderson. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Lemon, his sister, Margie Hughes and his brother, Allen Lemon. Glenn graduated from Borger High School in Texas and received a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern New Mexico University. He was employed At Los Alamos National Lab in the Engineering Department for 31 years. He retired in 1993 and retired to Rio Rancho. He was very involved with his church and helping others and was a strong role model for many young people. He enjoyed hugs and gave them freely to all. NEWMAN -- Dorothy Evelyn Newman, 83, of Albuquerque passed away at home with her family by her side on Wednesday December 2, 2009. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth and wife Marra, Richard, Gordon and wife Kimberly and Jeff; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Corey, Christy, Sarah and Melanie Parsons and husband Dave; great - grandchildren, Rebbecca, Hayden and Brennan; Jeffrey's mother Susan Companion; brother, Clyde Compton and wife Maria; brother's - in- law, Vincent Newman and his wife Betty and Floyd Lewis, and sister-in-law, Elsie Screnoch. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward Joseph Newman. Dorothy retired from the UNM School of Medicine after many years of service. During her life she enjoyed playing cards, and had many friends in the card playing community. Dorothy had an amazing will to live even while tackling her extreme medical problems. A memorial service will be held at French Mortuary, Lomas location, on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. where friends will be invited to share memories. STARK -- Dwight V. Stark, born in Duluth, MN on June 5, 1916, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at his residence. He honorably served in the US Army during WWII. Dwight attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois; the School of Art Studies in New York, as well as several other Art Schools. Dwight worked as an animation artist for Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. He was a well-known professional portrait artist, sculptor and fine artist. During WWII, he painted five oil portraits of Lord Louis Mountbatten, which are currently on display in museums in England and Singapore. Dwight is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Marilyn Stark of Rio Rancho, NM; his three children, Sandra L. Stark and family of Los Angeles, CA, David L. Stark and family of Stockton, CA; Frances Ferguson and husband, James, of Rio Rancho, NM; two grandchildren, Jessica and Rachel; as well as several other family members and friends who loved him and will miss him.
