BOND -- Gordon McClain Bond, Jr., 62, was born April 26, 1947 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. "Gordo" passed away peacefully at his home in Albuquerque on Friday, November 6, 2009. As a member of a pioneer ranching family, Gordo was raised on numerous ranches in New Mexico including the Valle Grande near Los Alamos, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon McClain Bond, Sr., Flora Cannon Bond, and his beloved dogs Rambo, Dolly, Baby Doll, and Georgia. He is survived by his children, Gordon "McClain" Bond, III and Louise "Ramsey" Bond; his sister Flora Bond Kubiak, her husband John Kubiak and his four nephews, Matthew, Simon, John and Peter Kubiak. Gordo attended NMMI, UNM and Cochise College. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity at UNM. He owned and operated Rio Grande Air Charter Service in Taos, New Mexico. He also started a bottled water company called Taos Mountain Water. He had a passion for flying small planes and was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was an adventurous man who loved to travel all over the world. Please join us for a "Celebration of Gordo's Life"; which will be held at Paul's Monterrey Inn, one of his favorite watering holes, at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. BROWN -- Charles Frederick Brown (Charlie, Freddie, Chuck) 61, passed away November 5, 2009. Born in Pasadena, CA August 4, 1948 to Lucy Ruth and Theo R. Brown, he was raised in Albuquerque with his siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are brothers James and Ted Brown of Albuquerque and sister, Eleanor Brown Rucker of San Antonio, Texas. Charles attended Manzano Day School and Del Norte High School where he was captain of the Del Norte Knights basketball team, President of his class and on the honor roll for 3 years. He attended Wheaton College. He was much loved, was generous and had a great sense of humor. He always had a mischievous grin for everyone. Charles will be missed by many. CAHILL -- Michael Cahill, 76, peacefully passed on Thursday, October 29, 2009. He is survived by his son, Eddie Cahill. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Cahill. Mike was an avid NASCAR and Motocross fan and enjoyed a very simple life. He was one of ten siblings growing up in Rockwell, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NE. The family will receive family and friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Private inurnment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

COTE -- Sophia Boucher Navarro Cote, 16 months, born on July 4, 2008, passed away on November 5, 2009. She is survived by her parents, Ryan and Sandra; her big sister, Ryley; her grandparents, Isidro and Isabel Navarro and David and Christine Cote; her godfather Leonard Navarro; her godmother Cynthia Navarro; her aunts Debbie Navarro, Patty Navarro, and Angela Mowatt; her uncles Paul Gard and James Niemi; and her cousins Zachary and Alexander Gard; and many more relatives and friends. Sophia was a beautiful gift from God and she made everyone around her realize how much love there is in the world. Even though our family in Maine is afar, we always felt you in our hearts and Sophia felt all of your love and support. Sophia was surrounded by the most amazing and dedicated people, and we appreciate and want to thank everyone that was a part of her life. Sophia blessed everyone she met, and we are happy our little angel now gets to play with all the children in heaven. CROMES -- Mae Cromes, 95, a longtime resident of Albuquerque died on Thursday, November 5, 2009. She is survived by her son, Fred Cromes and wife, Jonnie; daughters, Nancy Brogan, Suzan Buzzard and husband, Bill; and Judy Cromes; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. FIERRO -- Ida Fierro, age 98, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, went home to the Lord, Thursday, November 5, 2009. HANSEN -- Dona Rae Hansen passed away at her home on October 19, 2009 in Albuquerque. Born on June 16, 1928 in Independence, Missouri, Dona moved to Albuquerque in 1959. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert B. "Rusty" Hansen; and her parents, Lowell E. and Margie May White. Dona is survived by her sister, Bette Jean Jones of Bradenton, Florida; three children, Lowell (Craig) Pierson and his wife, Sharon, of T or C, New Mexico; Michael Pierson and his wife, Jane Farris, of Albuquerque; and Carol Ann Pierson and her fiance, Ken Barker, of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her grandson, Robert Pierson, and his wife, Monica, of Albuquerque; her granddaughter, Kathrine Murphy; and two great-grandchildren, Bobbi and Logan Pierson. Dona loved animals, and often had cats and dogs keeping her company. Her past hobbies included golf, darts and Tai Chi. A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the French funeral home at 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico.

HAYES -- Amelia M. "Milly" Hayes passed away on Friday, November 6, 2009. Milly was born Amelia Kollins on January 13, 1918 in Detroit Michigan. She grew up in Lincoln Park, Michigan, and was employed by Romulus Air Force Base, where she met the love of her life, Everett G. Hayes, after he returned from serving in World War II. Everett flew Milly over Manhattan from Connecticut "for a thrill" in his open cockpit Stearman Biplane in 1946. Milly and Everett married in 1947 and they drove to Albuquerque where they would make their home and eventually have four children. In 1954, Milly was one of the founding members of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Albuquerque. She was active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years. After Everett retired from Sandia Labs in 1981, they both enjoyed traveling throughout the country in their motor home, and camping on their 15 acre mountain property, 26 miles east of Albuquerque. Milly was preceded in death by her husband of almost 62 years, Everett, in January of this year, and her daughter, Carol Ann Hayes, in 2008. She is survived by two sons, Robert Hayes and Jack Hayes; one daughter Christine Duncan; two grandchildren, Sarah and Jamie Duncan, all of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law Jeanette Kollins of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Eleanor Nielsen of Orleans, Ma.; and niece Wendy Kollins of Northbrook, IL. Milly was a very social person, and loved people. She was also very generous with others. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother that anyone could ever have. We will all miss her very much. Services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul. JONES -- Adella M. Jones, 78, a longtime resident of Albuquerque passed away on Friday, November 6, 2009 after a long illness. She was born on August 14, 1931 in Jetmore, KS to the late Sherman and Faye Wallace. Adella is survived by her loving family; son, Donald R. Jones and wife Barbara of Los Lunas, NM; daughters, Paula A. Maingi and husband Boniface of Albuquerque, Ronda S. Davison and husband Jim of Albuquerque, Sheila M. Wert and husband Tim of Bellevue, NE; and brother, Sherman Wallace and wife Doris of Springfield, MO. She was loved and cherished by her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Jones; sister, Betty Roberts and ome grandchild. Della was a loved woman who touched everyone she came in contact with. The family of Della would like to thank all of her wonderful neighbors who have loved and supported her over the years. KONOPASEK -- George K. Konopasek, Jr., 53, of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully following a short illness on Sunday, November 1, 2009. George was born in Gary, IN on November 4, 1955. He was the son of George and Marge Konopasek and was raised in Griffith, IN. George graduated from Griffith High School in 1973 and participated in basketball, baseball and football. Following high school George attended Purdue University for two years. He eventually went on to become a certified welder and a member of the East Chicago's Boilermaker Union. In 1989 George moved to New Mexico as he loved the mountains and mild winter conditions. In 1998 George was involved in a significant accident which left him disabled. He retired from work and moved into Camino, an assisted living community in New Mexico where he lived until his death. George loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. He would sit for countless hours at his parent's home on Hoffman Lake smoking his favorite cigar and fishing for whatever would tug his line. George had a kind and generous heart and will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. George had three children and three grandchildren. Nicole Wilson and her husband Jake Wilson of Rochester, IN, Michelle Coers and her husband Michael Coers along with their children Mathew and Michael of Kewanna, IN, and Josh Konopasek with his daughter Ashlynn Vanlake of Kewanna, IN. Immediate surviving family include his parents George and Marge Konopasek of Warsaw, IN; three sisters, Barb Lambright and her husband Rich Lambright of Simpsonville, SC, Jody Blest of Albuquerque, NM, Katie Church and her husband Bill Church of Summerfield, NC, and one brother Ed Konopasek and his wife Jill Konopasek of De Pere, WI. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his many friends and the caregivers at Camino assisted living community in Albuquerque, NM. Additionally the kind doctors and nurses at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM who provided outstanding care for George were of great comfort to his family, thank you all. A memorial service for family and friends will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, IN on November 13, 2009. Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. EST with a Funeral Mass immediately following visitation at 10:00 a.m. EST.

MASSEY -- Margaret Massey died October 29,2009 at the age of 92. She lived a long happy and fulfilled life. She will be remembered for her love of family and kindness toward others. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Joe and Paula Massey, Jim and Gail Massey, John and Jeanne Massey and Judy and Bill Verzino, 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters. ROESCH -- Susan "Suzanne" Roesch, 70, a resident of Sandia Park for 25 years, passed away suddenly on Thursday November 5, 2009. Susan was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, David, and two brothers, Nigel and Christopher. She will also be deeply missed by one nephew, two nieces, her in-laws and many friends. Susan started her career with the BBC and retired from the law field after 40 years. She was extremely talented and proud of her craft work. Her remains will be cremated, and buried at a later date. RUSSELL -- Clara Russell, age 78, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009 in Placitas, NM. She was born to George and Mary Roesch in Brooklyn, NY. Clara was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She was always so playful with her grandchildren and great-grandson even to the very end; she always found time to play with them. Clara had a resilent zest for life and always had a positive attitude. Clara is survived by her two sons, Joseph Russell and wife, Laurie and Michael Russell; six grandchildren and one great-grandson, Kyle Russell. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Maietta and Shirley Koehler. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley N. Russell. WILLINGHAM -- Hazel Lee Willingham, 103, passed from this life on November 6, 2009. Born February 22, 1906, in Fisher County TX, Hazel lived to see many things in her time. Hazel married Olin Willingham in 1929. They moved to NM with their daughter in 1945 and lived in Albuquerque for several years before settling in Bosque Farms. Hazel enjoyed quilting, cooking, and playing dominoes. She was preceded in death by her husband Olin in September of 1997, her sister May Polk, and brother Tom McCombs. She is survived by her daughter Frances Ryan; her three grandchildren, Rhonda Garland (and husband John), Russell Phillips (and wife Linda), Teresa Curl (and husband Marvin); and her four great-grandchildren, John Austin Garland, Abbie Lee Garland, Elijah Curl and Isaac Curl, and many nieces and nephews. We are blessed to have loved and been loved by her during her long life. She resided at the Beehive Homes West for the last two years, where she received great and loving care. Our thanks also to Hospice of New Mexico for their care. Services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul NE, with a reception to follow.
