MORAN -- Mackenzie Kathleen Moran, born January 10, 1978 in Silver City, NM, was stolen away from this world on July 23, 2008, leaving it a darker and sadder place. Katie was blessed with spirit, grace, beauty, and determination. She was a faithful friend, an incredible sister, a loving daughter, and a devoted and caring mother. Her love for her son, Colin, was so intense that it could be physically felt by those nearby. She will forever watch over him wherever he goes. As a sister, she was her brother's secret guardian, always watching his back, even when he didn't know he needed it to be watched. To those people who called her their best friend, including Stephanie Dow and her cousin Robyne Holmes, she was fiercely and unconditionally loyal, so much so that her friendship was coveted by others who sought to have her light shine on them. As a daughter, she was everything her parents could want or hope for, and they will always be proud of her accomplishments. Katie worked at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque and was studying to become a nurse. Prior to this, for several years she worked with hundreds of children at Kindercare, where the children there would enthusiastically call her, "Miss Katie." She was excited at imminently becoming an aunt to her not-yet-delivered niece Molly Mackenzie Moran. She always had a profound love for animals and was a skilled cook. She will forever be mourned by: Cheryl and Tom Spahr, her mother and stepfather, John and Linda Moran, her father and stepmother, Richard and Clara Moran, her brother and sister-in-law, Claire and Richard Goldsmith, her grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her greatest gift to the world, Colin Jacob Dimas, her son. We will always love you Katie. OWEN -- Cody William Owen Cody William Owen February 28, 1991 - July 26, 2003 Dear Our Son, It has been five extremely long years without you, to hear your laugh and feel your hugs. Those days and special times are deeply missed and have left an empty space within our hearts. We have to remind ourselves that rather than focus on human loss, we must rejoice in the eternal life you have gained with Jesus. You will never know sorrow or pain; only joy and comfort in your heavenly home. Godly love is what God has asked us to show to each other; and that is exactly what you showed to your family and friends, you truly were an example to all of us and to the world. While we remain here, you are loved and thought of everyday and until that glorious day, when we again can see your shining face and hold you in our arms, rest well little one. We love you.
