ARMIJO -- Benjamin Armijo Jr., 52, a life long resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord, on June 20, 2008. He was a life long member of the Catholic Church, and a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his children, Monica Triana and husband Patrick, Adam Armijo and wife Kellie, Matthew Armijo and Olivia Armijo, mother of his children; grandchildren, Patrick, Alyssa, Kassandra, D'Andra, Xavior and Shawn, his mother, Emma Armijo; his brothers and sisters, Mary Padilla, Frances Baca and husband Daniel, Jerry Armijo and wife Irene, Betty Beall, Andrew Armijo, Eileen Romero and Roberta Gutierrez and husband Mario. His in-laws, Ernest and Rosie Chavez, He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Armijo; and a sister, Annette Armijo. He enjoyed fishing, bicycle riding, playing his guitar, and enjoyed music. He will be missed by his loving family. Rosary will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Eighth Street Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Garcia Mortuary. CORBIN -- Alene Corbin passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008. She is preceded in death by one son, Wayne Stiles. She is survived by her husand, Albert Corbin and children; Sally Hay, Kay Matheson and husband, Gary and Charles Soneson. She is also survived by her step daughters; Kathleen Corbin, Ellen Paz and husband, Jerry, and Carol Corbin; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and six great-great- grandchildren. FINCHER -- Lula Mae Cornelia Fincher (AKA Lola May Montoya), 81, was a resident of Albuquerque for 38 years. Born May 16, 1927 and passed Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Beloved mother of four, James Wilson Gurley, Sylvia Carol Doss, Veronica Ann Doss, and Terry David Raines; grandmother of five; and great-grandmother of three. Lola was a friendly, out-going person who always went out of her way to help others. Lola loved red roses, hummingbirds, pugs, angels, roosters, and chickens. Lola's hobbies were reading, gardening, and cooking. She will be missed by all who knew her. HERRERA -- Albert J. Herrera, 88, a resident of Albuquerque passed away June 21, 2008. Mr. Herrera is survived by his sons, Kenneth Herrera and Linda LaJuennesse, Ronald A. Herrera and wife, Martha, Anthony L. Herrera and wife, Phyllis; one brother, Ramon Herrera and wife, Rosella; four grandchildren, Tina M. Herrera, Marquita A. Herrera, Nathan R. Herrera, Eric M. Herrera; nieces and nephews, Charlotte Flinn, Daniel Pohl, Michael Pohl, Jerry R. Barboa, Donnell Montoya, Joanne Lespron and husband, Joe, Bernice Reed, Gabriel Herrera, Irene Otero and husband, Cruz, Charles Alvarez and wife, Pat, Diane Alvarez, Cynthia Schote and husband, Karl, Robert Alvarez and wife, Judy; many other extended family. Mr. Herrera was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; brother, Gabriel Herrera; sister, Eumelia Pohl; brother-in-law, Dennis Pohl; nephew, Phillip Herrera. Mr. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church, and a veteran of the US Army during W.W.II and a Baatan Death March Survivor and spent three and a half years as a POW. Visitation will be Wednesday in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Thursday in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelon SW, at 9:00 a.m. with Fr. Bill Sanchez, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full military honors. LEHMAN -- TED 1936 - 2008 Ted Lehman, age 71, a resident of Belen, passed away suddenly on June 19, 2008, after a day of fishing on the Chama River. Ted was born in Bridger, MT on November 17, 1936 to Henry and Dorothea Lehman. He graduated from New Mexico State University, and worked summers as a ranger in Yellowstone National Park. In 1965, he met Virginia Moore at a Young Republicans meeting in Tulsa, OK, and married her six weeks later. Ted worked all of his life as a physicist. He was well-respected and known in the scientific community. While he loved his work, he also loved fishing (rivers only), horse racing, and playing cards with his kids and poker with the boys. One of the boys and oldest friends, Dick Blattman, was fishing with him when he suffered and died from an aortic aneurysm. Ted's children and grandchildren brought him his greatest happiness. He was a father whose children knew everyday how much he loved them. Ted leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Virginia; his son and best friend, Matt Lehman and wife, Jamie; daughter, Robyn Robinson and husband, Jared and daughters, Kelly Lehman and Melissa Lehman. He is also survived by his five beloved grandchildren, Wyatt, Gunner, Rowdy and Raelynn Robinson; and his other set of eyes and ears, Allison Scott Garcia; brother, Carl Lehman and wife, Hilda; and his favorite mother-in-law, Mary Jane Moore. A Celebration of Ted's life will be held at the family home in Belen on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be in Ted's name to the Immanuel Lutheran School Fund, 300 Gold, SE, Albuquerque, NM. LUDI -- William T. Ludi, Jr., age 87, a well-known resident of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on June 20, 2008, at home after a lengthy illness. William was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Pina; his parents, William T. Ludi Sr., and Verenda "Bennie" Ludi; his sister Pita Madrid; brothers, Bobby, Tony, and Charlie Ludi and special friends Tom McElroy and Tony Leger. He is survived by his son, William T. Ludi, III and wife Helen; his daughters, Lori Campos and husband Pete; Dianne Ross and husband Dale of Rio Rancho, NM; Joanne Sanchez and husband Frank of Pendaries, NM; Kathryn Morga and husband Chuck and Karla Ludi of Albuquerque. His sisters Cecilia Baca of Longmont, Colorado; Ann Marie Archuleta and husband Richard; brother Mario Ludi and wife Angie of Albuquerque; and sister-in-law Margaret Ludi. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jackie Ludi-Darnell and husband Terry; Karin Ludi-Herrera and husband Jose, Sheila Ludi, Peter Campos, Amy Ross, Audrey Ross, Mark Ross, Stephen Sanchez, Kenneth Sanchez and wife Darlene, and Jennifer Sanchez. Great-grandchildren are Brittany, Trey, Ty Ludi-Darnell, Katlyn, Kayla, Reyes, Tristen Ludi-Herrera, Jordan Ludi, Alex Ross, Andreas, Enrico, Isabella, Sherri, Christy, and Willie Sanchez. In 1944, William and his father bought the established grocery store operated by Mr. George Herman. After about three years of operation, the Ludi's opened the bakery which contributed to the success and popularity of the store. William bought the store from his father in 1966 and expanded his business to include a Liquor Store, Laundromat, Mobile Home Park, and several rental properties. He retired in 1983 and his son William, III purchased the store and carried on the Ludi tradition. The store was sold outside of the family in 2001. William also continued to serve as a Bank Director of the 1st National Bank, now known as Community First Bank, since March 7, 1980. He was awarded "Business Man of the Year," by the Las Vegas-San Miguel Chamber of Commerce and in 1983 honored for 50 years of "Outstanding Business Service to the Community," by the Las Vegas Hispano Chamber of Commerce. William loved fishing and playing cards with his father and brothers, and was an avid baseball fan. After retirement he spent time travelling with his wife Pina as owners of Classic Travel & Tours. Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons Peter Campos, Mark Ross, Stephen Sanchez, Kenneth Sanchez, and nephews Tony Ludi, Paul Ludi, Gary Ludi and Victor Ludi. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Angel and Dan Perea. Rosary Services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at 9:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. SAIS -- Greg Sais, 85, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2008. He was a life long resident of New Mexico. Greg was born May 15, 1923 in Casa Colorada, NM, to Rafael and Louisa Sais. He is survived by his children David Sais and his wife Terri of Cheyenne, WY; Barbara Sais Mares and her husband Dr. Frank Mares, Dolores Sais Miera and her husband Joe, all of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, Annette Sais-Suloff, and her husband Jeff of Laramie, Wyoming; Cristina Mares, Andrea Mares, Arianna Miera, Michael Greg Miera, and Raquel Miera all of Albuquerque, NM; one great-grandson, Colin Suloff; and three sisters, Emily Perea, Mary Chavez, Ana Lewis; one sister-in-law; Clara White; numerous nieces and nephews; and a loyal and faithful companion; Lola, his Lhasa Apso. SUAZO -- Dana Leigh Howey-Suazo, loving wife, mother and friend, 54, passed away in an accident, Thursday, June 19, 2008 on her way home from Colorado. She was born September 29, 1953 in Belen, NM a daughter of Hugh and JoAnn Howey. She married Silas V. Suazo, September 18, 1987 in Albuquerque. Survivors include her husband of Albuquerque; one son and one daughter; Miguel Suazo, San Diego, CA; Sarah P. Suazo, Albuquerque; two sisters; Sandy Kimmons, Albuquerque; Terrie and husband, Bob Gorrell, Placitas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Warren Howey. TREANOR -- Catherine "Katie" Treanor, 80, passed away June 13, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born July 25, 1927 in Oskaloosa, IA, to the late Elmer and Catherine Parcel. Her first 50 years were spent in Iowa before moving to the Albuquerque area. Katie loved helping people and most of her career was spent in the health care industry. She enjoyed travel, bird watching, reading, politics, and spending time with her many friends and family. She is survived by her brother John Parcell; her children, Cynthia Kerr, Terry Kerr and wife, Becky, Melinda Mesina and husband, Frank; eleven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. TURNER -- William "Billy" Glen Turner, 72, of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at his residence. He is survived by his children, Joni Ryan and husband Michael of Marysville, PA, Rodger Turner and wife Freda of Santa Fe, Daniel Turner of Albuquerque, and Lena Jojola of Albuquerque; a granddaughter, Whitney Turner of Clovis; two brothers, Everett Turner and wife Lynda of Mountainair, and Richard Pugh and wife Nancy of San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Wanda Barfield and husband Bill of Ardmore, OK, and Mary Jo Johnston of Armore, OK; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Billy was born in Glenflora, TX on May 25, 1936 to the late William Glen and Iva Lena (Lawler) Turner-Pugh. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Hurman Pugh. He grew up in the lower Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, near Edinburg. From the time he was very young, he had a devoted love for country music. Thus, his career started at age 14 and has continued until today. He also had a love for painting and his artistic nature is present in the many paintings with his family and friends today. His love for his family has been evident thru the many years. A Funeral Service will be held for Billy on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary-University Chapel, with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
