PROFFITT -- Susan M Proffitt, 46, of Edgewood, New Mexico, passed away on April 24, 2008. Preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Mae Ferree, of California. Susan leaves behind a husband of 19 years, Roy Proffitt, of Edgewood; brothers, Danny and Jerry Sexton with wife, Joyce, all of California, Howard and Margaret Sexton of California; niece, Robin; and nephews Jake, Joshua, and Adam, all of California; brothers and sisters-in-law Earl and Norma Proffitt, Mike and Priscilla Rickerman, Larry and Teresa Mata, Sheila Proffitt, Kathy Proffitt, all of New Mexico; numerous friends and loved pets. RAEL -- Lawrence Paul In fondest memory of Lawrence Paul Rael. The bright candle of his youth was put out on March 30, 2008, in Atascadero, CA. Paul was born on December 30, 1970, in Albuquerque, NM. Paul was an avid science-fiction fan, and a Game-Boy afficianado. He attended church regularly, and loved God and his fellow man. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernabe and Ernesta Rael, of Albuquerque, NM. and Donald Martin of Pomona, CA. Paul is survived by his sister, Stephanie J. Rael, M.D. of Albuquerque, NM; his parents, Lorenzo and Leigh Ann Rael, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; his grandmothers, Dorthy Martin of Pomona, CA, Emily Rael of Albuquerque, NM; and uncles, Lee Rael, John Rael, Donnie Martin, Kerry Martin, also many friends in Atascadero, and Coalinga, CA. Cremation has taken place and a Mass for Paul will be held Saturday May 03, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at San Ignacio Catholic Church 1300 Walter NE Albuquerque. Funeral Services will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in San Pedro, NM, with Paul's great- uncle, James J. Rael, officiating.

ROMERO -- TILLIE L.----Tillie L. Romero, 83, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 28, 2008. Mrs. Romero is survived by her loving children, Lydia Abeyta, Ramona Romero, Lorraine Miera and husband, Robert, Philip M. Romero and wife, Angie, Charlie Romero and wife, Cecilia, David Romero and wife, Alma, Rick Romero and wife, Patsy, Paul Romero, Chris Romero and wife, Janie, Adam Romero and wife, Christine; her sister, Emma Candelaria; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Romero was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe E. Romero. Mrs. Romero was a member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Legion of Mary. Visitation will be Friday evening at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by the Legion of Mary. Final visitation will be Saturday, May 3, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 am. at the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Father Edmund Savilla, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Abeyta Jr., Anthony Gutierrez, Eric Romero, Markus Romero, Christopher Romero Jr., Matthew Romero and Richard Romero Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the grandchildren. SHEARER -- PERLA P.---Perla P. Shearer, 55, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 29, 2008. Mrs. Shearer is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-seven years, Frank Shearer; her daughter Tanya Brown and husband, Scott; her mother, Lillie Gallegos; her sisters, Mary Ann Greenslete and husband, Mark, Elizabeth Montoya and husband, Ramon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Shearer was preceded in death by her father, Fidel Lucero and her brothers, Donald Edwards Jr. and Ralph Edwards. SPEARS -- Dorrie Spears, a devoted wife, mother, Grammy, cherished daughter, sister and friend, was carried in the arms of an angel to her peaceful eternal resting place above on Friday, April 25, 2008. A private family service will be held in New Mexico, where her final resting place will be with a view of the mountains she loved. To celebrate her life, she would be deeply honored to have donations (tax deductible) made to the Dorrie Spears Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Tarrant County College Foundation, 1500 Houston, Fort Worth, Texas 76102, so that others may have the opportunity to continue their studies and to carry on Dorrie's dream to help others. Dorrie was born Nov. 21, 1951, in Lincoln, Neb. She lived in Arizona and New Mexico before being swept off her feet to Texas, where she lived the remainder of her life with Mike Spears, her loving and devoted husband of 25 years and faithful companion "Bear." After working as a patient advocate for MHMR of Tarrant County, she returned to school, where she was obtaining licensure as a licensed chemical dependency counselor working toward a degree in mental health clinical counseling psychology. Dorrie was eager to learn and always willing to assist her peers in achieving their goals. Dorrie had an amazing gift of compassion, a sweet spirit with a kind, loving heart that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will forever be in our hearts. She survived by her parents, David and Jean Martin of Bosque Farms, N.M.; husband, Michael Spears of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Stacy Spears and cherished, grandchildren, Avery Grace and Griffin Michael of Allen; sisters, Jeannie King and Gig Philipp of Denton and Charlene and Jim Kelly of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Scott Martin of Mobile, Ala.; father-in-law, Herschell Spears; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Candi and Lee Highsmith of Arlington; nephews, David King, Justin Martin, Stephen and Michael Kelly and Ben Highsmith; niece, Katie Highsmith; aunts and uncles, Jack and Virginia Kirkland, Dale Kirkland and Lila Dennison, and many cousins of Lincoln, Neb., and Roy and Donna Jean Root and cousins of Boston.

TRUJILLO -- Joseph Isidoro "Ted"Trujillo, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly at his home on April 29, 2008. He was 71. Ted was born on April 4th, 1937 in Tyrone, CO. He enjoyed traveling, going to Isotopes baseball games, the New York Yankees, the L.A. Lakers, his granddaughters, and his friends and family. Ted is survived by his three children: his two daughters, Terry and Gina Trujillo, both of Rio Rancho, NM; his son, Michael Trujillo, daughter-in-law Aylin, and their daughters, Alexa and Nicole of Lone Tree, CO; former wife, Rosella Pena Trujillo of Albuquerque; sisters, Mary Corrine Pulley and Toni Quintero, both of Albuquerque; brothers, Al and Joe Trujillo of Pueblo, CO; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives, and many friends who loved and will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrosita and Antonio Trujillo and brothers, Don and Anthony. Ted was a graduate of Albuquerque High School. He worked in sales most of his adult life and cultivated many friends. He had a ready smile and firm handshake to all he met. To help give us some semblance of comfort, "The sorrow we feel is only a reflection of the joy we had. Do not fear the tears, do not hold the tears, they are reflection of the heart of hearts - let them be heard. Sing them with pride and confidence!" Funeral Services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel NE. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 10:00 a.m. A reception, where all of the family members and friends are welcome to attend, will follow the Memorial Service in the Parish Hall. Ted will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but never forgotten as a caring and giving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. WOODS -- Ella Mae Woods went to be with Jesus on April 27, 2008. She was born on January 20, 1921, to Mattie Lean Wilber and Sammy Hubert in Pittsburg, Texas. She and her husband, Willie Lee Woods, moved to Albuquerque from Amarillo after WWII. She was a life-long member of the Church of God in Christ denomination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie. She is survived by her children, Raymond Woods, Steven Woods, Diana Woods Garcia, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her companion, James Taylor; and the extended Toulouse Family. A Service in celebration of Ella Mae's life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethesda Community Church, 10801 Lomas Blvd. NE, Suite 110 with Pastor L. Roy Jamerson, Jr. officiating.
