BROWNELL -- Hideko T., a resident of Albuquerque since 1982, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2008, after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born to Tomokuni and Saizuru Tsukasa on December 22, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Jesse DeBuck. She is survived by her children, Linda and husband, Rob DeBuck, of Albuquerque, Sandie and husband, Mike Chapman, of Lynden, Washington, David and wife, Inez Cage, of El Paso, Texas, and Donald and wife, Becki Cage, of Newton, Kansas. She is also survived by her grandsons, Sean, Kyle, Ryan, and Derek DeBuck, Tyler and Vance Chapman, Nicholas Cage and Christopher Cage. Hideko also leaves behind two very dear friends, Rose Wopat, her friend of over 40 years, and Donna Self, her friend of over 20 years. Hideko retired from TJ Maxx in December, 2006, after 20 years of employment. She had the privilege of working for a manager that she respected and held dear to her heart, Mr. Martin Threet. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Larry Cawthon of Harmony Home Health and Hospice for his outstanding service. With his compassionate care, it allowed Hideko to pass on with the dignity and grace that she deserved and in the comfort of her own home. Cremation has taken place and a private Family Celebration of Hideko's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the American Cancer Society or charity of their choice. Mom, we love you forever.

BRUDER -- Clyde G. Bruder, 80, of Albuquerque, passed away on April 5, 2008. He is survived by his sons, Larry Bruder and wife, Christina, and Kenny Bruder and wife, Claudia; granddaughter, Josie Bruder; and three brothers, Arnold, Clarence, and Warren. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, and Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. on April 9, 2008, with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. CHAVEZ -- Lena Chavez "Nena", age 84, was born April 3, 1924, to Nicolas and Candelaria Salas of Pena Blanca, NM. She went home with the Lord on her 84th birthday, Thursday, April 3, 2008. Lena was a pioneer, raising two daughters, as a single parent. As well, she worked in, owned, and operated Lena's Beauty Salon for 39 years in Downtown Albuquerque. Lena will be deeply missed and always remembered on our hearts. Her body is at peace and her soul is with the Lord. Lena was preceded in death by her three brothers, Frank, Tom, and John Salas. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Dolores Miera and Frances Chavez; son-in-law, Leon Padilla; Dominic Tamez; a grandson who Lena raised; grandchildren, Frank Miera Sr., Michael Miera, Stephanie Miera, Robert Tamez, and Silvia Ann O'Ray; great-grandchildren, Frankie Miera, Heavenly Tamez, Branden Burlem, and Robert Sisneros O'Ray; sister-in-law, Erlinda Salas; nephew, Nick Salas; godchild and niece, Juanita Trujillo and Jessica Ramirez; many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo on Thursday, April 10, 2008. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank Presbyterian Hospice and Enchanted Home Care for taking care of our mother and her needs. CUTRER -- Michael D. Cutrer, 47, of Cumberland, died Sunday, April 6, 2008, at his residence. Born November 7, 1960, in Albuquerque, NM, he was the son of Margaret Rose Cutrer and the late Kenneth Cessna. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Renee. Michael attended high school in Albuquerque. He was the executive chef at Rocky Gap Lodge (Crestline, Inc.). He studied at the Culinary Institute of America. His previous assignments were with Crestline in Brasstown Resort, Young Harris, Georgia, The Hyatt in Witchitaw, Kansas, and Portsmouth, Va. He was locally active with the Chefs of Steel and the March of Dimes. In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Heidi (Gibbs) Cutrer (general manager of Puccini's Restaurant); three brothers, Richard, Kenneth, and Robert; two sisters, Cynthia and Tanya. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland (www.scarpellifh.com) on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Dietz officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home one-hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

DAVIS -- Larry E. Davis, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly at age 56 on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 12:35 a.m. He is preceded in death by his parents, Millard H. and Velma J. Davis. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James P. and Patricia Davis; by the mother of his children, Renee Perea; by his four children, Matthew Davis, Christian Davis, Analisa Davis, and Rebecca Montoya and her husband, Felix Michael Montoya; by his eight grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Lorenzo, Anjoli, Reanne, Julianna, D'Ana, and Estevan; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service followed by a reception on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Heights Christian Church, 6935 Comanche NE in Albuquerque.

FRYE -- Brian Franklin Frye of Westminster, Colorado, 30-year-old son of Fred Frye of Albuquerque, NM and Karla McGill of Wolf Point, MT, passed away unexpectedly, on March 31, 2008, in the Rocky Mountains that he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, George F. Frye; his brother, Bradley R. Frye; and his uncle, Mike Kittleson. He is survived by his father, Fred; his mother, Karla; his other mother, Vicki Frye; his grandparents, Fredene (Fritz) Frye of Albuquerque; Dorval and Blanche Kittleson of Glasgow MT; brothers, Shaun, Cody, and Kyle, of Wolf Point, Montana; Mike of Denver, CO; Tracy, Jackson, and Chris, of Albuquerque; sisters, Rebecca of Austin, TX and Jody of Albuquerque; aunts and uncles; Diane of Glasgow; Rocky, Clay, and Darin of Glasgow; nieces Cassandra, Paige, and Sophia of Albuquerque, and McKenzie of Denver; and numerous cousins in the Glasgow area. GANS -- Harold Julius Gans, 85, formerly of Santa Fe, New Mexico, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born may 1, 1922, in New York City. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sonia Seabrook Gans; daughter, Lindy Gans Ritz and husband, John Ritz, of Norman, Oklahoma; grandson and family; Michael Scott Robinson and wife, Jodie; and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Rachel Robinson of Middletown, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Elsie Gans; daughter, Susan Marjorie Gans Robinson; sister, Marjorie Elsie Gans; and grandson, Kyle Richard Robinson. He attended Santa Fe Public Schools, New Mexico Military Institute, and the University of Southern California before being called to the United States Army in World War II. He served in the 500th Air Service Squadron in the American Theater, European-African-Middle Eastern, and Asiatic-Pacific theaters as a photographer. He was a 33rd Degree Mason and a lifetime Kiawanian. He loved his USC Trojans, photography, sailing, and flying his own planes. He never met a stranger. He was baptized into the Episcopal Church on Easter Eve, 1995, and served as an usher and photographer for The Church of the Holy Faith, Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was a member of All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Cremation by Demuth Funeral Home of Oklahoma City. Service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church of Norman, Oklahoma, 235 West Duffy, Norman, OK. 73069 at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2008. GUARDIOLA -- Louie R. Guardiola, 37, left his family and friends on April 4, 2008, unexpectedly. He was born in Albuquerque, NM December 11, 1969. Son of Gilberto and Maria, brother of Theresa. Louie is survived by his loving daughter, Leandra; two sons, Estavan and Angelo; one granddaughter, Valerissa; two nieces, Valerie and Vanessa; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was a truck driver for 15 years who loved the open road. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 2:00 -4:30 p.m. and 6:00 -7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary. A second viewing will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. followed by Services at Riverside Funeral Home on 225 San Mateo Blvd, NE.
