ARCHIBEQUE -- Cora R. Garcia Archibeque, 81, passed away on March 28, 2008. She was a resident of Albuquerque for over 60 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee J. Garcia and her mother, Ricarda Silva. She is survived by her children, Cora Lee Forletta and husband, John, and Tom A. Garcia and wife, Pamela; six grandchildren, Rhonda Forletta and fiance, Glen Bowers, of Albuquerque, Cheryl Ward and husband, Dwayne of Spring Creek, NV, Brandon Forletta, Steven Sanchez, Amanda Forletta and Joseph Garcia all of Albuquerque; three great-grandchildren, Xzavier Ward, Xiomara Ward and Xadrian Ward; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. ARREGUIN -- Florentino 56, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 28, 2008. He is survived by his wife Martha, his sons, Juan and wife, Alisha; Florentino and wife, Jessica; his daughters Jeannie; Marisol Zamora and husband, Patrick, and Martha. His brothers, Salvador and Javier Arreguin; and his, sisters Maria, Rosa, and Coco Arreguin; along with 13 grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening, at 7:00 p.m., April 1, 2008, at St. Francis Xavier Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Francis Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. BLUESTEIN -- Virginia Lee Morrow- Bluestein, 87, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard C. Bluestein; son, Richard M. Bluestein and wife, Linda of Albuquerque, and Mark M. Bluestein of Crestone, Colorado; daughter, Nancy M. Bluestein-Johnson and husband, Randy of Port Angeles, Washington; grandchildren, Marissa and Blake Bluestein, Gus and Chandra Johnson; and sister, Patsy Cushing and husband Charles of Hinsdale, Illinois. She was preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Malcolm and Jane Owensby. Ginny grew up on a ranch outside of Raton, N.M. and spent her first two years of college at UNM. She transferred to Iowa State University for her junior and senior years to finish her degree in the new field of dietetics. After an internship in Seattle, she returned to Albuquerque as the state's first certified dietician working at St. Joseph's hospital. In 1947 she married Dick. Ginny was an active member of the Junior League and the PEO Chapter here in Albuquerque. She helped Dick after the opening of Dick Bluestein Jewelers in 1971, where she enjoyed helping customers. Playing bridge and entertaining were her favorite activities. She had strong ties with her Morrow family relations in the Raton area. She attended St. John's Cathedral. Virginia will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 4, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John, 318 Silver SW. A reception at the Cathedral of St. John will take place after the service. A private internment of cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. BUNTEN -- James A. Bunten, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Grace Bunten, and brother, William Bunten. Jim was born on September 20, 1922 in Topeka, Kansas, and moved to Albuquerque in 1932. After graduating from Albuquerque High School, he served three years in the United States Army-Air Force. He then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad until his retirement 42 years later. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Augusta; son, James A. Bunten, Jr. and wife, Helen; son, Edward L. Bunten; daughter, Virginia L. Lopez and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Victoria L. Lopez, Robert L. Lopez, David L. Lopez, and Steven L. Lopez; great-grandchildren, Natalie R. Lopez and Aubrie E. Lopez; brothers, Daniel Bunten and wife, Mary Ann; Donald Bunten and wife, Billye; many nieces and nephews, and last, but not least, his beloved dog, "Lady". CADIEUX -- Elida Meral Brady Cadieux, 88, longtime Albuquerque resident died at home Monday, March 31, 2008. She had been in hospice care at home for more than a year. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Hodges (Charlie); granddaughter, Sarah Cadieux, of Albuquerque with great-granddaughters, Alexis and Sanai; daughter-in-law Elaine Moore; and granddaughter; Marie Justine Cadieux, of Los Lunas; granddaughter Stacy Hodges, of Denver, CO; and grandson, Brian Hodges (Hannah), of Lakewood, CO. She is also survived by her brothers, Elden Brady of Jamestown ND, Lowell Brady of Molalla OR; and sister, Vivian Sheets, of Carrington ND. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cadieux, in January, 2006; and her son, Daniel C. Cadieux in June, 2007; her sister, Luella Hopewell, of Pingree ND; brothers, Gerald Brady and Larry Brady, of Woodburn OR. Elida was the oldest child of Charles Edgar Brady and Merle Idane Youngs, born September 25, 1919, in Vashti, ND, a hopeful village that is now part of a plowed field. She went to a one room schoolhouse, graduated from Oak Grove High School in Fargo, ND, worked at the School for the Blind in Bathgate, ND as well as teaching four years in one room schoolhouses while fiance, Chuck, served in World War II. They were married July 9, 1945, in Jamestown ND. Elida followed Chuck as his civil service career moved through Bismarck ND, Sioux City IA, Mitchell SD, San Antonio TX, Albuquerque NM, and Bethesda MD, before retiring to Albuquerque NM in 1978. Retirement included leading many motor home caravans. Her greatest joy in life was welcoming friends and family into her home. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, April 1, 2008, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, Claremont and Vermont St. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. FUENTES -- Lupe Fuentes Jr., age 40, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday March 26, 2008. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen Fuentes and Albert Fuentes. Lupe is survived by his three daughters, Felicia Nadine Fuentes, Marisia Fuentes, and Salena Fuentes; one son, Julian Fuentes. He is also survived by his parents, Lupe Fuentes Sr. and Kathy Fuentes; his grandmother, Albina Trujillo; several aunts; uncles; and cousins. Prayer Service will be held Tuesday evening April 1, 2008, at 7:00 pm at University Church of Christ, located at 1701 Gold SE. Funeral Service will be Wednesday April 2, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. University Church of Christ with burial following at Mount Calvary Cemetary, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. GILLIS -- Dolores Gillis, 80, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 31, 2008. Services will be held at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Dolores May Anthony was born on May 1, 1927, in East Liverpool, Ohio to Harley and Martha Anthony. She married George Gillis on December 20, 1947. She and her husband lived in Albuquerque after his retirement from the U.S. AirForce. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1985. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 2004. She is survived by two sons, Greg Gillis of Hayward, Ca. and Bruce Gillis of Pampa; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

JARAMILLO -- Maryann Sachs-Jaramillo, native of Belen, New Mexico, was called to her heavenly home and to the open arms of her beloved parents, Martin F. Sachs and Mary C. Sachs on March 28, 2008. Maryann was born November 29, 1932 in Belen, NM. Maryann attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Belen, NM and graduated from Belen High School in 1951. Her friends remember her fondly as caring and outgoing. She was a cheerleader, homecoming queen, and class president during her years in high school. Soon after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Gillie B. Jaramillo in 1952. They left for Spokane, Washington where they lived for 4 years while Gillie was stationed at Fairchild Air force Base. They returned to Belen where Maryann would devote her life caring for her husband and five children. In 1985, Maryann, Gillie, and youngest son Martin moved to Los Lunas. Maryann worked tirelessly for her son and the deaf community. Maryann also partnered with her husband in the business they founded Citizen's Finance Co. Inc. She was an active member of Our Lady Belen Catholic Church in Belen, NM and San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Maryann is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gillie B. Jaramillo; children, Gilbert Jaramillo, Maryann Sorenson, Anntherese Mulryan, Annalee Kuidis and husband, Gary, Martin Jaramillo and wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Gilbert Jaramillo Jr., Jennifer Jaramillo, Elizabeth Jaramillo, Derek Sorenson, Kyle Kuidis, Angelica and Faith Jaramillo; great-grandchildren Azaliya, Reyes, Aaron, and Aspen Jaramillo; sister, Angeline Sachs-Velasquez of Albuquerque; sister and brother-in-laws, Barbara Ortiz, Rose Aragon and husband, John, Henry Jamamillo Jr. and wife Elsie, Theresa Jaramillo and Jerry Jaramillo and wife, Nury, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at 7:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited Thursday, April 3, 2008, 7:30 p.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. High mass will be held in her honor at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Friday, April 4, 2008, 9:00 a.m., followed by the laying of her cremated remains to rest at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. Maryann's family would like to thank the entire staff at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice for their kindness and excellent care.
