CIESIELSKI -- Pastor Donald G. Cielsielski passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2008. Don was born in Cicero, IL on January 12, 1934, to Margaret and George Ciesielski. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Louise Bowers and her husband, Bob, of Albuquerque, NM; his son, Bret Arnold Ciesielski and his wife, Mitzi, of Tucson AZ; his sister, Joy FitzGerald and her husband, George, of Cedar Park, TX; his grandchildren Eddie, Jason, Adam, and Ashley Ciesielski, all of Wichita, KS; and four great-grandchildren. He lived with and was cared for by Vivian E. Harlan, whom he loved dearly. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1952; Midland Lutheran College, Fremont, NE in 1956; and Central Lutheran Seminary, Fremont, NE in 1960. After being ordained at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, NM as an ELCA pastor, he served many congregations: Nativity Lutheran Church, Commerce City, CO; Missionary to Uruguay, South America; Trinity Lutheran Church, Laramie, WY; Epiphany Lutheran Church, Clinton Township, MI; San Juan Community, Albuquerque, NM; and Resurrection Lutheran Church, Chattanooga, TN. Once he retired, Pastor Don continued to serve as a volunteer chaplain for the Albuquerque Police Department. He then moved to El Paso, where he was a Hospice Chaplain for VNA and also performed services for various funeral homes. Don was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in El Paso. Throughout his life, he was also involved in theatre, music, and Rotary and Kiwanis service clubs. Don's amazing sense of humor and courage, even during times of declining health, was admired by all. He will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and respected him. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 11050 Montwood Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM. CROW -- Betty Jane Crow passed away peacefully Monday, April 2, 2008, at the Albuquerque Kaseman Hospice following a battle with cancer. She was a loving, caring, and understanding woman who devoted her life for her family and friends. Betty was born October 19, 1923 in Fletcher, Oklahoma to Russell and Emma Lou Constant. Betty attended school in Fletcher and Norman, Oklahoma. Following graduation, she worked in the defense industry for Douglas Aircraft during World War II. Betty married George Crow September 14, 1948 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Betty and George lived in Albuquerque and Gallup, New Mexico where George was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad. During the many years she lived in Gallup, Betty worked for Fran's Flower Shop, Dan Dee's supermarket and drove a school bus for thirteen years. George and Betty relocated to Belen in 1981 following George's retirement. Betty enjoyed many activities which included bowling and taking care of her golden retriever, J.R. Her greatest enjoyment was welcoming her children and grandchildren when they came to visit her in Belen. Betty was a member of the St. Phillips Episcopal church and enjoyed attending services on a regular basis. Betty leaves behind two children; Terry Towner and Laura Arnold; and her husband, Charles, of Grants, New Mexico, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Russel and Emma Lou; her husband, George; and sister, Normal Louise Ward. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at St. Phillips Episcopal church, located 113 La Luna Place in Belen, New Mexico. DENNEY -- Lenna Maye, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, and formerly of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2008 at the age of 82. She was born to Denny O. Tipton and Iva Geraldine Graves Tipton (Pottorf) on June 6, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Carl A. Denney; and her sons, Craig and Kevin Denney. She is survived by her son, Douglas P. Denney and his wife, Mary. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Claudia M. Powell, her husband Jay and their children, Jordan, Taylor, and Kamaria Powell. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and special friends. Lenna May was a devoted and caring woman who withstood many personal hardships with dignity and perseverance. Cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Lenna and Carl's life will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at her home.

FITE -- Florence L. Fite, 90, was called to her Heavenly home and to the open arms of her parents on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. She was born on February 26, 1918, to the late Joseph W. and Anna (Ireland) Jones. She is survived by her children; Bert Lawyer and wife, Nancy, Dee Skinner; grandchildren, Wayne L. Lawyer and fiance, Lynn Anderson, Brenda Patrick and husband, David, Ronda L. FLOERSHEIM -- Mark Timothy Floersheim, 50, passed unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on April 1, 2008. He was born on June 4, 1957, in Raton, NM. He is survived by his parents, Carl Jr. and Lynn Floersheim, of Albuquerque; brother, Kurt Floersheim and his wife, Beth, and their daughter, Heather of Orange, TX; brother, Scott Floersheim and his wife, Jean, and their daughter, Kate of Albuquerque; aunt, Dorothy Floersheim, of Raton, NM; uncle, Myron Floersheim, of Atlanta, GA; uncle, Stan Floersheim and his wife, Rita, of Atlanta, GA; and many cousins. Mark was an antique/collectibles hunter extraordinaire, as well as an avid fisherman and photographer. He truly enjoyed being an uncle to nieces Heather and Kate, and, for over 25 years, he was a devoted friend to several purebred Samoyeds. Mark shared his good-natured wit unabashedly and leaves his family and friends with many hilarious tales and fond memories. GREEN -- Charles W. Green, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, since 1960, passed away at Montibello Senior Living Community, Tuesday, March 25, 2008, after a short illness related to age. He was born in Saint Francisville, Illinois, September 30, 1915, to Daisey Mae and Frederick Curtis Green. After graduation from High School, he pursued a career as a meat cutter in Knoxville, TN. On August 13, 1937, he married Novella Cusick, and the couple soon relocated to Olney, Illinois, where he was the Meat Department Manager for the Kroger Store, at the corner of Main and Walnut Street. In 1944, he purchased the Fox Cleaner and renamed it Green's Cleaner. He was a business man and active community leader in Olney until he sold the business and moved to Albuquerque, NM, in 1960. While in Albuquerque, he sold insurance for Rocky Mountain and Paul Rever Insurance Companies and then finished his working life selling sporting goods at the Montgomery Ward store. His first wife, Novella, preceded him in death, in 1994. They had three children, Charles David Green of Leesburg, FL, Sarah Louise Colby of Covington, OH, and Mitzi Mae Loftus of Albuquerque, NM; surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In 1996, he married an old friend and acquaintance, Barbara Doenges, of Olney, Illinois. They had a number of happy years in the house they built, in Albuquerque, and then later at Montibello, in Albuquerque, NM. "Charlie" will be remembered as a loving husband and father, an active church and community leader, and after these, an avid fisherman. GUTIERREZ-PLACENCIO -- Cyrus Daniel Gutierrez-Placencio, two months, 17 days old, went to be with the angels on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. He is survived by his parents, Josh Placencio and Kandayce Gutierrez, of Albuquerque; grandparents, Gilbert and Darlene Gutierrez, Nina Trujillo, and Pete Placencio; great-grandparents, Teresa and Albert Torres, Ed and Alida Trujillo, Canda Trujillo and Sarah Placencio; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and many other relatives and friends. Cyrus was born on January 16, 2008 and brought much joy to his parents and the rest of his family. He always had a smile upon his face and his eyes sparkled full of life. HERNANDEZ -- Eleanor Law Hernandez, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother successfully completed her life and work among us here on earth. She has gone to join her savior, Jesus Christ, and the many loving family members and friends who passed out of this life before her. Eleanor was born November 25, 1928, in Los Angeles, CA. HOOKER -- Mildred "Millie" Alberta Hooker, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 46 years, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 31, 2008. Millie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and spent her life giving to and serving others. Millie was born on November 30, 1924, in Frankfort, IN to Florence and L. Guy Baker. She graduated, with honors, from Frankfort High School in 1943 and married Charles T. "Ted" Hooker on December 27, 1945. Millie and Ted lived in Indiana until 1957, at which time they moved to Denver, CO. In 1962 they relocated to Albuquerque, NM. Millie went to work for Sandia National Laboratories as a division secretary, remaining there until her retirement in 1983. While working at Sandia, she embarked on a second career as a medical transcriptionist, working for Lovelace Medical Center for over 20 years. She started her own business, "Your Type Co.", and continued working as a medical transcriptionist until her death. Millie's greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends, and family, entertaining in her home, and frequenting the shops and galleries in Santa Fe and Taos. She was an animal lover, sharing her life with numerous furry friends over the years. She is survived by her son, Andy Hooker and wife, Mary Lou, of Flower Mound, TX; daughter, Adair Paul and husband, Allan, of Alamogordo, NM; grandchildren, Katherine Hooker, Sara Hooker, Caroline Hooker, Nick Paul, Andrew Paul, and Kayla Paul; brother, Richard "Dick" Baker and wife, Jean, of Erwin, TN; sister-in-law, Jane Gerritty, of Wilmington, NC; nephews, Bruce Aughe and wife, Julie, of Frankfort, IN, Tracy Baker and wife, Ann, of Springlake, MI, and David Baker and wife, Marge, of Tucson, AZ; devoted neighbors Bob and Dohna Bates; beloved dog, Jack; the ladies from Lovelace; and numerous other friends. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Guy Baker; two sisters, Virginia Aughe and Geraldine Miller; and her former husband, Charles "Ted" Hooker. INGLE -- Marc H. Ingle, 63, a resident of Albuquerque since 2005, died suddenly, Monday, March 31, 2008, after a brief illness. Marc was born in San Antonio, TX, February 10, 1945. He graduated from high school in Phoenix, AZ in 1963. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Pasadena College in 1967 and followed with Masters of Public Health from Loma Linda Medical University and a Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 1998. Marc is survived by his beloved wife, Faye Ingle; his cherished children, Dallas S. Ingle and Darla S. Ingle; his mother, Muriel G. Ingle; his brother, D. Michael Ingle. Mr. Ingle was preceded in death by his father, Roy G. Ingle. Marc lived life to the fullest. One of his many passions was learning, and he learned something new every day. To all who knew him, they knew he was a man of faith and a man who loved and served his family. Wherever he lived, his light shown brightly, and he blessed his family and friends with his exceptional musical talent as a vocalist, instrumentalist, and pianist. IRELAND -- James E. "Jimmy" Ireland passed peacefully from this life April 1, 2008, surrounded by family and friends at his home in Albuquerque. Born in Idaho on November 22, 1937, to Dermit and Dorothy Ireland, Jimmy graduated from High school in Oakdale, CA. He served in Korea with the U.S. Army at Anchor Hill, and was a police officer for many years in California. Jimmy was a talented sign painter, fine artist, and cartoonist who encouraged many to explore their own creative talents. Jimmy is survived by his children, Marlene Mowry, Texas; Sidney Rovnak and husband, John, Florida; and James of California; step-daughters, Holly and Kristen; grandchildren, Jolene, Samantha, Ryan, and Tyler, and Elena; great-grandchildren, Serenity and Zachery; sister, Sandra Pattee; and brother, Ricky Nelson, both of California; sister-in law, Sookie Ireland, of Washington, brother-in-law, Ron Cox, of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmy is also survived by close friends Mike, Andrew, Nadine, Wendell, and Darrell, who generously gave of their time to minister to him during his illness. KOEHLER -- William R. "Bill" Koehler, 72, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2008. He is survived by his mother, Catherine Koehler of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Kim Koehler-Lynch of California, Kelley Koehler of Santa Fe, and Kay Koehler of Oregon; their mother, Camille Koehler, of Albuquerque; three grandchildren; step-daughters, Dawn Nava and husband, Ken, of Rio Rancho, Laura Haynes, and Colleen Lawrence, both of Albuquerque; their mother, Ingrid Koehler, of Florida; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Schooler, Louise Conley, and Joan Graham; and brother, John Michael Koehler, all of Amarillo, TX. Mr. Koehler was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Koehler; and brother, Jim Koehler. He was born and raised in Dalhart, TX, the eldest of six children. Mr. Koehler served his country during the Korean era in the United States Army in Ethiopia. He was a graduate of Texas Tech University with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in finance. Mr. Koehler was a Professor at the College of Santa Fe and at Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. LARRABEE -- Charles Benham Larrabee, 81, leading New Mexico Attorney and former member of the New Mexico Supreme Court, died March 29 at his home in Albuquerque. Larrabee was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on May 19, 1926, and lived in various Midwest and New England cities as his father rose through the ranks of the fledgling commercial airline industry. He graduated from the British School in Montevideo, Uruguay, with a Cambridge Certificate in 1945. Immediately following his graduation from high school, Larrabee enlisted in the Navy, finishing his Naval career in the Pacific on USS North Carolina (BB 55). Following WWII, Larrabee attended the University of Iowa and upon graduation, he married Patricia JoAnn Kaufman, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and they moved to Albuquqerque and he attended the University of New Mexico Law School, while his wife Patricia taught in the Albuquerque Public Schools. Upon graduation, Larrabee joined the firm of Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Mims and Akin and began a distinguished career in Law, retiring from the firm in 1989. Following his retirement, he was appointed to the New Mexico Supreme Court by Governor Garrey Carruthers. Larrabee resigned from the Court, choosing not to endure the hardships of campaigning for a permanent seat. An avid flyer, Larrabee owned several private planes and was well known in the city's flying community. He and his wife Pat also traveled the world, reveling in the sites and history of the places they visited and providing travel opportunities for their children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Pat, of the family home; Charles S. Larrabee, of Woburn, Mass.; daughter, Ann Schmidt, of Salt Lake City, UT; daughters in Albuquerque, Susan Larrabee and Julia Patten; and John Larrabee, of Phoenix, MD; and their families, which include eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Maryanne Rader, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Memorial Service to be announced. MONTGOMERY -- Earl E., 89, of Socorro, NM, passed away peacefully at his home on April 1,2008. He was born in Campo, Colorado on September 13,1918, to Charles J. Montgomery and Lena Holmes Montgomery. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Klea; his two sons, Ronald J. Montgomery and Ken R. Towery and his wife, Kathy; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Eileen Montgomery, his first wife, Flossie Gardner (1952); second wife, Mary Brammer (1968); and by his parents. Earl was raised in the vicinity of Guymon, Oklahoma. He joined the Navy in WWII, he moved to Albuquerque in 1945, then to Socorro in 1964. He retired from N.M. Tech. in 1987. He will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service is set for Friday April 4, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ of Later Day Saints on Camino Real in Socorro, NM.

ORTIZ -- Don Jose Ortiz, 58, of Albuquerque passed away at the family home on Monday, March 31, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Candido and Ursula Ortiz. PADILLA -- Barbara Ann, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, went to be with Our Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at the age of 58. She was born on September 4, 1949. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Padilla, and father, Pete Padilla. She is survived by her daughter, Bertha Padilla Baca and husband, Thomas A Baca; her sons, Christopher Joseph Padilla and Raymond Paul Padilla; her granddaughters, Alexis Rose Sena, Ashley Rose Padilla, and Tianna Dapriece Padilla. Also survived by two brothers; Edward Ramirez and wife, Bettie, and Bobby Ramirez and wife, Edith; one sister, Sharon Padilla Medina; and countless relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW. PATTISON -- Mary Ellen Pattison was born September 25, 1946, and passed away March 29, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and William (Pat) Pattison. She is survived by her brothers, Paul and his wife, Maydeana, of Seabeck, WA; and their children, Paula, Charlotte, Matthew, and Tim; Tom of Mesa, AZ; John and his wife, Diane, of Albuquerque, and David and his wife, Dianna, of Albuquerque; and their children, Stephanie and Aubrey. Mary Ellen graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Phoenix, AZ. During her nursing career, she worked as a head nurse and operating nurse at hospitals in Phoenix and Albuquerque. Mary Ellen also helped train other nurses. She had a great passion for jewelry making, beading, and other crafts. Due to her generosity, Mary Ellen's friends and family have many beautiful examples of her work to remember her by. RIGLER -- Gerald Leo Rigler, was ultimately healed of the disease which he endured for so long on Monday, March 31, 2008, passing peacefully at home with his family by his side. Gerald was born August 28, 1940, and grew up in Guthrie County, IA, a farm boy with strong values and principles. After graduating from Guthrie Center High school, he attended Drake University, earning a B.A. and M.A. in biology. He then joined the Peace Corps and served for two years in Uganda, Africa, teaching math and science at a boys' school. In 1967, following his Peace Corps service, Gerald and his new bride came to New Mexico for graduate studies at the University of New Mexico, where he earned his Ph.D. and did post-graduate work in physiology. He had always thought he would like to own his own business, however, and so in 1978, Gerald and Lauri bought Collette's Flower Shop, which they operated successfully until his health no longer permitted. Gerald is survived by Lauri, his wife of 40 years; daughter, Andie Rigler; son, Brennen Rigler his wife, Tina; and children, Alexis and Dylan; mother, Marie Rigler; brothers, Larry and Wilson Rigler; sister, Roma Stetzel; and several cousins. Gerald was a kind-hearted man with a droll wit and a quiet strength, and he will be cherished and missed by all whose lives he touched. RUBIO -- Emmett Rubio Jr., 76, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Eleanor; and three daughters; four sons; and their families. Beverly Rodarte, Robert Rubio, Sandra and Harry Tafoya, Eugene Rubio, Victor and Brenda, Vincent Rubio, Rene and Joe Rodarte, and Michael Rubio. STUMPP -- Victor Stumpp, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for many years, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 from a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marian Stumpp; brother, Karl Stumpp and wife, Ulla, of Denver, CO; many nieces and nephews; cousins and special friends. He was a loving husband, brother, and friend, and he will be missed. Victor owned and operated the Photo Center for many years. He was a member of the Albuquerque Elks 461, VFW 401, and the German American Club. He mostly enjoyed camping with friends, playing poker and his tomato garden. THOMAS -- Dr. Eric A.Thomas, 36, of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with his heavenly Father Saturday, March 22, 2008, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, due to complications of Leukemia. Dr. Thomas was a 17-year resident of Albuquerque, NM. He was born November 10, 1971, in Oxnard, CA. He grew up in Camarillo, CA, and attended Rio Mesa High School where he was a member of the varsity basketball and track teams. Dr. Thomas received his undergraduate and medical degree from the University of New Mexico. He also completed a residency in orthopedics at UNM. He was a WAC Scholar Athlete for four years while participating in LOBO basketball. He was the first student member of the Board of Regents for the University of New Mexico. Dr. Thomas completed a fellowship in spine surgery at OrthoIndy in Indianapolis, IN. He was a Spine Surgeon for Spine, Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque. He was an invaluable contributor and collaborator with NuVasive, Inc., a spine surgery company. He was a pioneer in their XLIF procedure, and was instrumental in the design and development of new and improved spine products, as well as teaching other spine surgeons for the company. Eric was loved by all and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His faith and courage was an inspiration to all that knew him, and his spirit will continue to live in our hearts. Dr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Kari Thomas; a son, Benjamin James Thomas; his parents, Benjamin and Donna Thomas; his brother, Brent and wife, Tonya; a sister, Jennifer Cover and husband, Dan. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Sagebrush Community Church, 6440 Coors Blvd., Albuquerque, NM. Golf attire is requested.
