ARRINGTON -- SCOTT NOEL. Scott, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, went into the loving arms of his heavenly Father, on January 5, 2007. Scott was born on June 22, 1961. He is now rejoined with his grandparents, who preceded him in death, Fred and Thelma Huxoll, and Jack Arrington. Scott is survived by his mother and stepfather, Linda and Dale Housley; sister, Debbie Arrington; father, Jack D. Arrington of NB; sister, Kelsey Arrington of NB; his grandmother, Jorette Land of Bernalillo, NM; his aunt, Patricia Northrop and husband, Clarence; cousin, Robin Tafoya and husband, Jim, and their son, Jimmy Dale Tafoya; an aunt, Vondie Sanders of Sunset, TX; his extended family, Donna Hinds, Kelly Madrid, Lou Colera, Michael Housley, and their children; and special friends, Frank and Emily Lopez. BICKEL -- Marjorie Bickel, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheryl Germack and husband, Garth of Albuquerque and Diane Montgomerie and husband, Scott of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Cynthia Bryant, Keith Clark, and Kelly Dallas; and eight great-grandchildren, Hailey, Aaron, Peter, Madison, McKenna, Ryleigh, Sarah, and Jacob. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith L. Bickel. Marjorie was born in Raton and was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. She was manager of Peter Polly's from 1955 to 1985. Marjorie was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Assistance League of Albuquerque. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007, 10:00 a.m., Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE, with Pastor Larry Moss, officiating. BOLANDER -- JACK LCDR Jack "C" Bolander (U.S. Navy, retired), 77, of Colonial Heights, VA, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, in McGuire V.A. Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was born in Clovis, NM. LCDR Bolander graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1951, and conducted post-graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Southern California. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church, VFW/DAV, American Legion Post 284, National Sojourner, Gideons, Sea Scouts (leader), Sigma Phi Epsilon, Navy League, and Duncan, Oklahoma Lodge #60, AF & AM. He is survived by his mother, Martha Kathleen Crawford Johnston of Knoxville, TN; sister, Donna June Bolander Halliburton of Montecito, CA; daughter, Jacquelynne Victoria Bolander Prince and husband, Dr. John Martin Prince of Knoxville; son, Lt. Col. Jeffrey Wayne Bolander (U.S. Marine Corps, retired) and wife, Colleen Traynor Bolander; five grandchildren, Emily Alene Prince, John Ryland Prince, Christopher Martin Prince, Jennifer Ming Bolander, and Jonathan David Bolander; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 3 - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2007, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. BRASS -- Edward E. (Tyker) Brass, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2007. He was born in Lawrence, KS on September 8, 1928, the son of Edward B. and Martha Beaunice Brass. He served as a Captain in the USAF and was a decorated veteran flying transport planes in Korea during the Korean War. He graduated from Kansas University where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He completed a 32 year career at Sandia National Laboratories, retiring in 1989. During retirement, Ed was a docent at the Rio Grande Zoo, a member of the Coronado Wolfpack, a judge during elections and enjoyed traveling with his wife, and fun and games with family and friends. Ed was a faithful and devoted husband and father who loved his God, his family, and his country. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris J. Brass; son, Eric Brass of Omaha, NE; daughter, Anne E. Silva and husband, Aaron of Belen; and grandchildren, Alejandro and Aundrea Silva. Cremation has taken place and friends are invited to join the family in celebration of his life at a Memorial Service on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. BURGER -- Dennis E. Burger, age 60, passed away Monday, January 8, 2007. Born in Illinois, Dennis served Honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime resident of Albuquerque and retired from Comcast Cable. Dennis is survived by his mother, Anne Anthony; sisters, Linda Williams and husband, Joseph, Susan O'Brien and husband, Steven, and Dianne Siete; brother, Jeffrey Burger and wife, Denise. BURGGRAF -- Norman Conrad Burggraf, 88, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on January 8, 2007. Mr. Burggraf was born on March 10, 1918 to Peter and Marie (Volz) Burggraf of Brooklyn, NY. He served in the United States Army and National Guard. He was a Police Officer with the New York, Nassau County department. Upon moving to the Rio Rancho area he served as a reserve officer with the Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety. He also worked as a security guard, volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was a driver for seniors, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. Mr. Burggraf is survived by his wife, Marie (Volz) Burggraf, of twenty-two years, of the family home; his stepdaughters, Marianne Boe and Robin DeLong; grandchildren, Brian, Michelle, Jeff, Maureen, and Allyson; great-grandchild, Ashlyn; and a treasured family friend, Petra Smith. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho. CAMUGLIA -- John C. Camuglia, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1967, peacefully left this earth to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 23, 2006 after a very brief illness. A native of Staten Island, NY, John and his family have owned and operated Tully's Meat Market and Deli since June of 1970. He continued to be active in the business until the time of his death and now his son, Johnny Camuglia will continue his father's tradition of providing Albuquerque with authentic Italian food, in honor of his father. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard where he fed the sailors on Ship 252 thus beginning his life of sharing his enthusiasm for good food. He took up golf in 1991, the high-point of which was a hole-in-one in 1996. While golf was a sport he discovered later in his life, John was always an avid sports fan with his loyalties reserved firmly for the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jerry; daughter, Joy Ashley and husband, Shawn of Perry, GA; son, Johnny and wife, Melissa of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Savannah, Shane and Brenna Ashley of Perry, GA, Victoria and Sarah Camuglia, both of Albuquerque; brothers, Frank and wife, Jessie of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph and wife, Joyce of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Joanne and Joan Camuglia of New York, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Camuglia was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby and Louis. CARPENTER -- Darrel "Carp" E. Carpenter, born May 24, 1916 in Buckhannon, WV, passed on to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 30, 2006. He is survived by his five children: Edward Carpenter and his wife, Jackie of Houghton Lake, MI; Bill Carpenter and his wife, Barbara of Albuquerque, NM; Barbara Baldwin of Pinckney, MI; Darelynn Lesa and her husband, Michael of Auburn, CA; Mark Carpenter, and partner, Jody Hutton of Corrales, NM; grandchildren, Sandra Kuschnerus, Ellen Holthus, Delaine Carpenter, Dana Carpenter, Stephen Baldwin, Andrea Scott, Erika Lesa, Amber Lesa, Jared Lesa, Andrew Lesa, and David Carpenter. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Auston Balwinski, and twins, Megan and Courtney Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Naomi Carpenter; parents, Hartman and Iva Carpenter; brothers, Lowell and Dana Carpenter; son-in-law, Carlton Baldwin. CHAVEZ -- Nolbert "Ben" Chavez, 70, a resident of Belen, died Monday, January 8, 2007. He is survived by his brother, Rudy L. Chavez and wife, JoAnne of Belen; sister, Florie Chavez and husband, David; sister-in-law, Frances Chavez of Belen; brothers-in-law, Cayetano Padilla of Belen and Sal Artiaga of Florida; many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Ramon and Josefita P. Chavez; brothers, Robert Silverio and Bennie Chavez; sisters, Susan Artiaga and Mary Padilla; sister-in-law, Lorraine Chavez; and great-niece, Francine Renee Sanchez. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and has been attending Mass daily for 49 years. Mr. Chavez would spend most of his day praying daily devotional, novenas and rosary. His favorite pastime was drawing and he had a love for watches. Rosary will be recited Friday, January 12, 2007, 10:30 a.m. Mass will follow Rosary at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. CHAVEZ -- Raymond F. Chavez, 81, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died January 8, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Connie of the family home; children, Linda Gerhman and husband, Eric of San Antonio, TX, Michael Chavez of Amarillo, TX, Rebecca Schulz and husband, John of Rio Rancho, NM, and Robert Chavez of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Adrian Tomberlin, Kenny Chavez and Stacy Cartwright and her husband, Eric; and one great-grandson, Ryder Cartwright; sisters, Lily Casados of Hollister, CA, Rebecca Chavez and Mary Rose Chavez of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Antonio Chavez and wife, Lourdes of Denver, CO; and daughter-in-law, Isabel Chavez of Albuquerque, NM.
