Parra, and their children Kenneth Parra, Jose Parra his wife Sheila, Martin Parra his wife Lisa, and 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Javier, Kaydon, Brandon, McKenzie, Destini, DezRey. PFAFF -- Charlotte E. Pfaff, 89, died December 23, 2007. Born at the family farm near Amsterdam, Idaho she moved to New Mexico in 1942 residing in Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Albuquerque, Pajarito Village and Corrales. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. and Celeste R. (Sligar) Human, husband Daniel Pfaff, daughter Barbara E. Pfaff, and granddaughter Ashlee G. Pfaff. She is survived by her sons Norman Pfaff (Janice), and Richard Pfaff (Jan), five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her family appreciates the gracious care she received from the staff of the memory unit at Sandia Springs Senior Living Community and the services of SolAmor Hospice. Arrangements are being handled by Direct Cremation & Burial Services. A memorial service will scheduled after the holidays. PICCININI -- Betty M. (MCDowell) Piccinini, a resident of Socorro, NM since 1946, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2007 in Belen, NM. She was born in Huntington, WV on June 19, 1925 to Thomas E. and Alvah (Walker) McDowell. In 1942, her family moved to Grand Rapids, MI where, after graduating from Central High School, she worked for the Michigan Bell Telephone Company. When the family moved to El Paso, TX, she worked for the Banker's Life Insurance Company until her marriage on October 2, 1945 to Michael Piccinini of Albuquerque, NM. In January 1946, the couple moved to Socorro. Betty lived an active life managing the family's rental properties until they were sold in 1990. She was co-owner/manager with Mike of the Ben Franklin Variety Store on the Plaza until it closed in 1975. Betty was a deacon and long time member of the First Presbyterian Church. During her children's young years, she co-led a Cub Scout Troop with Ginnie Mendenhall and a Girl Scout Troop with Mary Lou Hudgins. Betty was a outdoors woman who loved the town and the landscape of the area. She and Mike enjoyed trail riding by horseback in the mountains of northern New Mexico and Colorado. Over the years, she cherished walking her faithful dalmatian and shelties. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 55 1/2 years, Michael; sister, Dorothy M. Kuri; and brothers: Robert R. and Jack W. McDowell. She is survived by her son, William M. Piccinini and wife, Stella of Socorro; daughter, Debra D. Nelson and husband, Command Sergeant Major (ret.) Edwin B. Nelson Jr. of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and her brother, Thomas W. McDowell of Columbus, OH. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Socorro with Rev. John Gregg officiating. SAAM -- Sharron Lucille Saam, 63, a resident of Edgewood, NM and devoted French teacher at Moriarty High School, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. She is survived by her children Mike Saam, Zachary Saam, and Melanie Pitsch; her grandchildren Tiffany, Nick, Kristi, Wyatt, and Logan; and her sister Ernestine Nunes; and the rest of her loving family. SALAZAR -- Emilio Salazar, 77, died December 23, 2007 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Jane Salazar; children, Elizabeth Austin and husband Bob, Dr. John A. Salazar and wife, Marcia, Robert T. Salazar and wife, Shauna, Steve G. Salazar and wife, Amy, and Richard G. Salazar and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, John Austin and wife, Tonya, Michelle Austin, Kenneth Salazar and wife, Amy, Brian Salazar, Andrew Salazar, Kristin Salazar, Jordan Salazar, Kyla Salazar, and Zoe Salazar, and great granddaughter, Madelyn. Emilio also has three siblings surviving him, Adelina Monseur, Benito Salazar, Charles Salazar. Mr. Salazar was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Juanita Salazar and his brothers Raymond and Alex Salazar. Emilio served his country in the US Air Force and retired from the U S Postal Service after 30 years. He dedicated his life to his family especially his wife, children and grandchildren who he dearly loved. VAZQUEZ -- Lydia Vazquez, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2007, surrounded by her family. Lydia was born on September 28, 1937 to Prospero and Herlinda (Vizcaino) Velasquez of Silver City, NM. She graduated from Albuquerque High School. Ms. Vazquez worked for the Social Security Administration. Ms. Vazquez was, also, a member of Iglesia Congregacional Unida (UCC), loved to solve puzzles, make blankets, go camping, fishing and travel. She will be fondly remembered for her deep faith and her love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ricky Gutierrez, in 1979. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Emilio C. Artiaga; children, Judy Anaya Castillo and husband, Jesus of Los Lunas, NM, Daniel Gutierrez; Jeanette Gutierrez, and Eileen Gutierrez, all of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Garcia and Lillian Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will mourn her passing. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 28, at 11:00 A.M. also at the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. WHITE -- Jason James White, age 31, a resident of Los Lunas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Jason was very well known among car collectors and was very active in the classic car scene. He was employed by the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy. Jason was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Catherine White and Odessa Gleaton. He is survived by his lifelong partner and love of his life, Wendy Dukes of Los Lunas; beautiful daughter, Kayla White of the home; father, Jimmy White of Bosque Farms; mother Sharon Montalli and her husband, Al of Roswell; brothers, Brian White and Mark White, both of Albuquerque; grandfathers, Leroy White and Earlis Gleaton, both of Roswell; grandmother, Thelma Douglas and her husband, Walter, of Aurora, CO several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Bosque Farms. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM. WRIGHT -- Lorenzo M. "Ervin" Wright, 86, began his peaceful journey to reunite with his loved ones on Saturday, December 22, 2007. Lorenzo was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rose, on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. Also preceding him in death were his sons, Clarence and Steve Wright; his daughters, Edwina Wright Chavez and Darling Wright. He is survived by his children, Ervin Wright, Raymond Wright and wife, Sharon, Liz Wright and husband, Leo Torres, and Joseph Wright, all from Albuquerque, and Cassandra Charles and husband, Mike, from Deer Park, WA; beloved Pancha, his chihuahua; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his in-laws, Gillie and Cathy Castillo of Albuquerque, Virginia and Dewey Buck of Carlsbad, CA, Trini Castillo, Matias and Mary Castillo of Victorville, CA, and Rosita Gabaldon of Los Lunas; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. Special thanks to all the employees from Vista Care Hospice who took care of him during these trying times. ABEYTA -- Flora C. Abeyta, age 72, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007. She was born in San Antonito, New Mexico and was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Abeyta and her son, Michael Abeyta. She is survived by her children, Josie Moya, Joe Abeyta and wife, Rachael, Richard Abeyta and Steve Abeyta; grandchildren, Mandy, Joe, Jocelyn, Christopher and wife, Amanda, Katerri, Theresa and husband, Daniel, Monica and husband, Viceinte, Roxanne, Angela and Antoinette; brothers, Joe Campbell and wife, Viola and Steve Campbell; Suzie and family; several great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. ATENCIO -- Gilbert Atencio passed away at his home Sunday, December 23, 2007. He was 94 years old. Gilbert was born in La Madera in Northern New Mexico.
