HANN -- Martha Jane Underwood Hann "God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay." Martha Jane Underwood Hann, 80, known to almost all as "Marty", took her journey into God's arms on December 20, 2007. She was born June 7, 1927 in Crooksville, Ohio and was raised as an only child and grandchild. Her parents, Mary Jane Underwood and Roy Underwood and her daughter, Mary Lynn Hann Baldwin Williams, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Jane Hann Davalos; her granddaughters, Martha Jane Baldwin and her husband, Dr. Ivan Ortiz, Sarah Baldwin, and grandson, Keith Baldwin, as well as grandsons, James-Vincent Davalos, Marcus Davalos and their father Ruben Davalos. She was also great grandmother to Ivan Ortiz Jr. and Andres Ortiz. Marty came to Albuquerque in 1948, where she became an avid gardener and master bridge player. She was one of the first members of the Rose Society of Albuquerque. She was a gourmet cook, loved to entertain, had a quick wit, was well read and loved to start a lively conversation on a variety of topics. She was known for collecting antiques, seamstress abilities, needlepoint, as well as being involved in the swimming activities of her daughters. She was one of the first members of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. Her well known laugh will be missed by her special friends John Gill, Kay Sumpter, and Liz Schlessinger and individual thanks to Bettie Rodriguez, a special angel who helped her to keep her independence. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held December 28, 2007, 11:00 am, at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE.

HENDERSON -- Orea, age 85, passed away on Thursday evening, December 20, 2007, at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice. Orea was born in Rison, Arkansas, on January 6, 1922, and lived in Flint, Michigan for 32 years. He retired in 1975 after working for many years in production at General Motors. As a long standing member of Antioch Baptist Church- Flint, MI, under the leadership of Reverend Lewis Randolph, Pastor, Brother Henderson served as Deacon, and was a member of The Laymans and Male Choir. Orea moved to Albuquerque, NM, in 2006, where he became a loyal member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Victor Wilson. Orea is survived by his wife, Sirlura (Jennings) Henderson; daughter, Lauraline Henderson-Long and husband, George, of Albuquerque, NM; and son, Varie Henderson and wife, Shera, of Dalla, TX; seven grandchildren; sister, Theresa Norman of Flint, MI; and cousin, Reverend Milton Henderson and wife, Betty, of Flint, MI. A Funeral Service will be held in his honor, on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, 604 Avenida Cesar Chavez, with Reverend David Walker as presiding officiant. HOWARD -- Robert D. Howard, 78, of Peralta, left this earthly life to enter Heaven's gates with Jesus on the afternoon of December 22, 2007. Bob - man of God, husband, dad, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, friend - and now victor because of Jesus! He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Ann "Pat" Howard; daughter, Melinda Howard-Pacheco and husband, Peter; son, Dwaine Howard; grandchildren, Brandon and Stephen Klein, Kasarah, Shayla and Robert Howard, Jesse Pacheco; siblings, Floyd Howard, Norma Jean Holle, Mary Goodnight, Virginia (Carolyn) Archer and husband, John, David Howard and Ruthie Cook; brothers-in-law, Bob Foehner and Scott DeVore; sisters-in-law, Debbie Mitchell, Sue DeVore; and numerous other family and friends. Robert was preceded in death by, parents, Robbie Lee and Tressa Boatright Howard; sisters, Maxine Roper, Hilda Foehner; brother-in-law, Gordon DeVore; and sister-in-law Polly Howard. Robert was raised on a farm in Illinois where he learned how to work. He fired steam engines, tested nuclear devices, farmed worms, drove trucks and delivered luggage but specialized in the Masonry business estimating and contract work. He graduated from Carlisle High School in Illinois and served his country in the US Air Force. Through his life, Bob was most proud of his family, most affected by his personal relationship with Jesus Christ - and he wasn't afraid to share about either. His knowledge of Scripture was impressive, especially dealing with prophecy. Bob's legacy wasn't built on riches or fame - it was built on that intimacy with Jesus and his intense love for his family. Integrity, hard work, discipline, sincerity, and a quiet strength were Robert's hallmarks. HUYSMAN -- John Huysman, 84, a resident of Cedar Crest and formerly of New York, died Saturday, December 22, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresa Huysman of Cedar Crest; daughters, Rae Ellen LaLicata and husband Sam of San Diego, Kathleen Panzarella and husband John of Winchester, KY, Theresa Lagerway and husband Guy of Albuquerque, and June Morris and husband Jamie of Stanley; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Vincent Huysman of Georgia. John was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed. LARRONDE -- Treelan John Larronde, beloved son, brother, father and friend, came to his family on November 3, 1978 and was taken from his family on the winter solstice, Friday, December 21, 2007. He was born in Janesville, CA and raised in Pie Town, NM, later making his home in Albuquerque. He is survived by his mom and dad, Nita Larronde and Don Kearney; his sisters and brother, Heather, Walker, Prairie, and Autumn; his biological father, John Cuthill; brother and sister, Zane and Kaely; and his treasured daughter, Mariah Hope Morris-Larronde. He finally found the never ending run, miles and miles of billowing cloud banks and we'll think of him riding them all year long. He was and will be loved and missed. MARQUEZ -- Larry A. Marquez, 54, a resident of Seboyeta, New Mexico passed away on December 23, 2007, and is now in Heaven with our Lord. Larry is the beloved father to Paul Marquez and wife, Liz, Jessica Marquez and companion, Rodney Holmes. Larry is also survived by his mother, Nora Marquez; two sisters, Jo Ann Garcia and husband, Salvador, Betty Maestas and husband, Lee; two brothers, Euselio Marquez and wife, Freda, Eddie Marquez and companion, Anna Anaya; his companion, Ruby Marquez and her children, Melissa and Jason; the mother of his children, Elvira Montano and husband, Samuel; his grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, Shawn, Joshua, Tyler, Caleb, Mercedez and Camren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Serafin Marquez and a sister, Cecilia Marquez. Larry was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation for Larry will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Seboyeta with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Father Alberto Avilla. Interment will follow at the Seboyeta Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Marquez, Craig Garcia, Travis Maestas, Archie Ray Marquez, Eddy Marquez and Efren Romero. MORRIS -- Bobbie Jean Morris, 78, of Albuquerque, NM went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Doyle W. Morris and brother, Glenn Carrell. She was born April 10, 1929 in McQueen, OK. She was a member of and active in various ministries of First Baptist Church of Albuquerque. She was also a member of and active in the P.O.E. womens organization.
