WINTERS -- Richard (Rick) M. Winters, of Bosque Farms, NM passed on Thursday, May 31, 2007. Born on October 24, 1947 in East Meadow, NY, Rick spent most of his younger years growing up in southern California. He moved his family to Albuquerque in 1968 after acceptance to the Fire Academy. Rick loved nature and outdoor life, preferring open spaces to urban living. He spent many years residing in the New Mexico Mountains or other country areas. His love of camping and hunting came second to the company of family and friends that were by his side during his outdoor adventures. A father, a grandfather, a friend, Rick is survived by his daughter, Victoria Grimm and husband, Shane; grandson, Mark Garcia; and granddaughter, Danielle Garcia; son, Rick Winters and wife, Sara; grandsons, Adam and Ethan Winters; daughter, Maria Cordova and husband, Jeff; grandson, Estevan Romero; granddaughter, Mia Cordova; and grandson, Diego Cordova.
