She was gifted and talented in many ways: she was an excellent horsewoman and leader of a mounted girls scout troop, green thumb for vegetables and flowers, exceptional seamstress who could make up or combine her own designs for original clothes for her family, artist of over 1,000 homemade Christmas ornaments with no two alike and a great cook at a moments notice. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed many camping trips with family and friends. The "welcome door" was always open at her home and heart. She extended her sense of humor and caring nature to others as a friend, confident and counselor of which many of us will miss. Elaine always put others first and did so with such a positive attitude in life she inspired others to do the same. She said her inspiration was her friend Dee.
