BARBER -- Bryan Michael Barber, 34, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, died Saturday, August 19, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 3 years, Georgette. They would have celebrated their third anniversary on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. He is also survived by his five children, Amelia, 13, Venessa, 10, Elizabeth, 7, Abigail, 4, and Breanna, 4; mother, Carole J. Barber of Albuquerque; grandmother, Daisy Keetso Barber of Gallup, NM; brother, Randy Romero and wife, Paulette and their son, Randy Jr., of Albuquerque, NM; great-uncle, David Barber, Sr. of Gallup, NM; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha and John Mascarenas Sr. of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Patricia Mascarenas; brother-in-law, John Mascarenas Jr. and wife, Dorrie and their son, Christopher; and numerous other relatives, friends and The Crew. Bryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wilson Barber, Sr. He was born on July 27, 1972 in Gallup, NM. Bryan loved to provide for his family, working for the last 3 1/2 years at Granite Countertops by Thunderbird, where he was a master at his craft. He enjoyed going to concerts, music, the Dallas Cowboys, family gatherings, and firing up the grill. Bryan was a devoted husband, loving father, son and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. CAUDLE -- Kelly Scott Caudle, 42, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, August 19, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Linda Caudle; daughters, Kaitlyn and Lauren; parents, William and Marilyn Caudle; brothers, Dale Harden, Jeff Caudle, Tim Caudle and wife, Peggy Lynn, Eric Caudle and wife, Kelly, William Caudle and wife, Lisa; and sister, Lori Picchione. Kelly was a 1982 graduate of Eldorado High School and was a member of the ROTC. A former U.S. Marine and a true Patriot, Kelly was a devoted husband and father. His passions in life were first and foremost his family followed by many other interests which include following NASCAR, being an incredibly talented artist, and watching and quoting movies. Kelly always put the needs of others before his own; his final selfless act was donating his organs. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2006 at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE, with Skip Heitzig officiating. HALE -- Gladys "GeGe" Hale, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 22, 2006. GeGe was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed her sewing circle, reading, and being active in her church. She was a Vietnam-era veteran who served her country with honor. She is survived by her husband, Dan Hale; son, Kevin Harmon and his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Wendy Rogers and her husband, Tony; grandchildren, Rhiannon and Aiden; sister, Sharon Elliott and husband, Don; brother, Gary Flood and wife, Carole. HEADY -- FERREL Dr. Ferrel Heady, age 90 and former University of New Mexico President, died on Thursday, August 17, 2006. He was born in Ferrelview, MO, on February 14, 1916, to Chester Ferrel and Loren (Wightman) Heady. He went to high school in Kansas City and college at Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned a Ph.D. in Political Science in 1940. After moving to Washington, D.C. he was a research fellow at the Brookings Institution, worked at the U.S. Agriculture Dept., and met and married Charlotte McDougall, his wife of 64 years. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy and commanded sub-chasers in the Pacific. From 1946-67 he was with the Univ. of Michigan, where he was a Professor of Political Science and directed the Institute of Public Administration from 1960-67. He came to UNM in 1967 as Academic Vice-President, then served as President from 1968-75. He was a Professor of Public Administration and Political Science at UNM from 1975-81, and Professor Emeritus after 1981. His many honors and achievements include: Phi Beta Kappa; Phi Kappa Phi; Faculty Distinguished Achievement Award, Univ. of Michigan, 1964; President, American Society of Public Administration, 1969-70; Outstanding Graduate Teacher Award, UNM, 1981-82; Senior Fulbright Lecturer in Colombia, 1992; and an honorary degree from UNM in 1993. His text, Public Administration: A Comparative Perspective, has been published in 6 editions and is used worldwide in graduate studies. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Heady of Albuquerque; daughter, Judith August of Austin, TX; son, Richard Heady and his wife, Connie Fernandez of Albuquerque; daughter, Margaret Heady and Edward Tompson of Cheney, WA; son, Thomas Heady of Albuquerque; brother, Wayne Heady and his wife, Laura; and brother-in-law, Jack Hall of Kansas City, MO; and sister, Norma Jane Pounds and her husband, Wayne of St. Louis, MO. Dr. Heady was preceded in death by his sister, Loren Alice Hall; brother, Kenneth Heady; and grandson, Ian August. He was an avid tennis player, a loving husband and father, and mentor to a host of students and colleagues. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., in the UNM Student Union Ballroom, and will be followed by a reception. HENSLEY -- James Robert Hensley age 53 of Rockwall, TX passed away August 11, 2006. He was born March 11, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM to George and Irma (Raymond) Hensley. Robert was a comptroller in the real estate industry and a member of Lake Pointe Church. He is survived by his wife: Melanee Hensley; daughters, Valoree Hensley, Nicole Hensley, Chandelle Hensley; son, Stephen Hensley, all of Rockwall, TX, Michele Osborn and husband, Michael of Colorado; granddaughter, Shayanne Osborn of Colorado; father, George Hensley and wife, Wanda of Carlsbad, NM; brothers, Raymond Hensley and wife, Lisa, Ron Hensley and wife, Wendy of Albuquerque, NM. LEOS -- David J. Leos January 29, 1949 - August 18, 2006 Little did we know when you moved in with us in 1968 that you would be a big brother to all of us. You taught us about life through Chinese fire drills, piercing our ears, barhopping and discos, painting God on our ceiling so He would always be in our lives and dining at the best places in Palm Springs and Santa Monica. You did this and more with a fierce sense of humor and your very carefree spirit. You loved consistently with every fiber of your being. We are grateful you were here long enough to pass these life lessons on to our children. MACGILLIVRAY -- Finlay MacGillivray, 88, a native New Mexican, passed away Friday, August 18, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Molly; two sons, Jim and wife, Jody, and Jack and wife, Cindy; sister, Jean Seth; grandchildren, Jim Jr., Jeff, Tangi, Leslie, Brian, and Cody; and many great-grandchildren and extended relatives and friends. Mr. MacGillivray was preceded in death by two sons, Finlay Scott and Brian Tosh. He served the community in many diverse ways and was a widely admired local figure. He was best known as the New Mexico State Fair Manager for many years. Earlier he was a former president of the UNM Board of Regents and was known as a Lobo football legend in the late 1930s. Mr. MacGillivray will be greatly missed by his loving family and the many friends and admirers he leaves behind. NUANES -- Paul A. (Tony) Nuanes, age 51, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, August 19, 2006. PLAGE -- Anna B. Plage, age 81, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM, she was born on August 10, 1925 in Pittsburg, PA. Anna is survived by her children; Barbara Manno of New York, Joseph Ebaugh and Valerie, and Phyllis Sanchez and husband, John, of Albuquerque; four grandsons, Anthony Manno, Vincent Manno, Joseph Ebaugh and Justin Ebaugh; one great-grandson, J. Caine Ebaugh; and one great-granddaughter, Samantha Manno. She will be sorely missed by her precious dog, Taylor. She was an active member of Sangre de Cristo Parish, as well as an avid bingo and casino player. Anna participated in the "50 +" physical fitness program. POLLMANN -- Alexander Carl Pollmann, 17, of Little Elm, TX, passed away on August 20, 2006. Alex, a gentle and free spirit, was born in Albuquerque, NM, on February 24, 1989. He loved animals, motorcycles, and "all things teenage guys like to do in the outdoors". Alex is survived by his father and mother, Fredrick and Regina Pollmann; sister, Caitlin; and brother, Marcus; and sister, April Davis. He was an adored son and brother, and loyal friend. The family will hold a private Memorial. RIVERA -- Manuel Rivera Jr., age 73, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called to his heavenly home by the Lord, Tuesday, August 22, 2006. He was a resident of Bernalillo, NM where he was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed working with his hand making wood craft items, the outdoors, joking, and dancing. Most people will remember him by the joy he got when he'd do the "Rain Dance". SANDOVAL -- Ildefonzo Ernesto "Ernie" Sandoval, 82, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 20, 2006 after a long battle with lung cancer. Born on November 12, 1923 in Taos, NM, he was a lifelong resident of New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque since 1948. Ernie worked in the CCC Camps before serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He also served as a Civil Service Contractor in Vietnam from 1965 to 1970. However, his life's work was as a Journeyman Bricklayer and General Contractor until his retirement in 1985. He was a member and past president of the Bricklayer's Union, Local #2, as well as a lifetime member of the American Legion and the DAV. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. He loved his family, and is survived by his wife, Maria "Rose" Sandoval, and their children, Richard Ernest Sandoval and wife, Linda of Royalton, MN, Patricia A. DeMar and husband, John of Corrales, NM, Loretta Sandoval and husband, Ty Menefee of Albuquerque, Cecilia Sandoval, Steve Moritz of Albuquerque, and Daniel Sandoval and wife, Tammy of Anchorage, AK; along with 11 grandchildren, Debbie, Michelle, Ana, Elizabeth, Richard, Philip, Loren, Nichol, Arthur, Ryan, and Kyle; and 12 great-grandchildren, who will always remember him as a loving father and grandfather. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Hughes of Taos, NM, and Rose Stewart of Albuquerque, and brother, Antonio Sandoval of Taos, NM. Everyone who knew him was blessed by his beautiful smile, cheerful optimism, quick wit, and generous spirit. He was dearly loved and admired by a large extended family and many friends. He shone with a vivaciousness and zeal for life that was contagious, and although he no longer shines, we carry a memory of his brilliance in our hearts. SPAM -- James E. Spam, 81, passed away August 22, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and daughter, Gail. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria; daughters, Barbara Boggs and husband, Gary, Joni Ray and husband, Brian; son, James and wife, Ronna; grandchildren, Andrea and husband, James, Jamison, Jordan, Jaden; and great-grandson, Jeremy. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy; niece, Janis and husband, Paul and their son, Matt. Also his beloved dog, Skippy. We would like to thank the staff at Rio Rancho Care Center, for all their kindness and good care in making his last days more comfortable. We're going to miss his big smile and great sense of humor. We love you and miss you so much. Rosary will be recited at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be recited on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM. TALLEY -- James I. Talley, age 72, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at his home in Clayton, NM. Jim Talley was born on November 5, 1933, in Ada, OK to James D. Talley and Juanita M. (Graham) Talley. Jim graduated from John Marshall High School in Britton, OK in 1951 and married Jean Rael in July of 1958 in Bernalillo, NM and she preceded him in death on July 28, 1991. He worked for the U.S. Government doing Administrative work from which he retired in 1991 after 34 years of service. Jim moved to Clayton in 1991 and later married Jo Jo Chavez on December 26, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim was the Executive Director of the Clayton Union County Chamber of Commerce from 1995 to 1998, and worked for the Clayton Housing Authority from 1998 until his death. He enjoyed many hobbies, he loved to fish and search for arrowheads, Jim also loved to play the Slot Machines. He was known to greet everyone with his favorite saying "Morning". In addition to his parents and his first wife, Jim was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry D. Talley in September of 2003, and one son, Jonathan Talley who died as an infant. He is survived by his wife, Jo Jo Talley of Clayton, NM; one son, Joseph Talley of Albuquerque, NM; four daughters, Juanita Talley Baca and her husband, Johnny of Albuquerque, NM, Jan Margaret Nix and her husband, Robert of Denver, CO, Frances Rael Gibbs and her husband, Elmer of Albuquerque, NM and Veronica Rael of Texas; two step-daughters, Andrea Fernandez and her husband, Phil of Amarillo, TX and Audra Miera and her husband, Matt of Odessa, TX; 13 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Kevin Phillips and P. Louis Montoya officiating. WEBB -- Mildred Ann Webb, 87, died peacefully at her home in the loving presence of her family on August 18, 2006. Mildred was born to James and Anna Bradt on August 21, 1918, in Colome, SD. While a federal employee in Washington, D.C., she married James R. Webb Jr., on April 16, 1941. Together they raised seven children and traveled the world as Jim fulfilled his duties as an officer in the United States Air Force. They permanently retired in Albuquerque in January of 1973. Mildred was a wonderful and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her strong faith, great kindness, and gentle humor. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, James (December 6, 1996); her son, Gregory (November 26, 2003); and her great-grandson, Joey (September 12, 1983). She is survived by her daughter, Winnie Blount of Roswell, NM; son, Jim Webb and his wife, Diana of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Judy Webb of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Gretchen Webb of Waterford, MI; daughter, Robbie Ruth and her husband, Dean of Hastings, NE; daughter, Paula Webb of the family home; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two very special granddogs, George and Gracie. A viewing and visitation for Mildred will be held Thursday, August 24, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Church at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2006. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Gregory Fouratt, E.J. Fouratt, Dean Ruth, Cody Fouratt, Dane Kyser, and Chase Kyser. The family extends their sincere gratitude to all the staff of Visiting Angels, especially Mom's angel, Yolanda Shipe. We would also like to thank all the staff from Vista Care Hospice, who were instrumental in keeping Mom comfortable in her own home until God called her home. WILLIAMS -- Clyde Williams, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2006 with his loving wife at his side. Clyde was born April 4, 1919 the son of Nolan Clyde and Needa Cobb Williams in Boynton, OK. He spent most of his life in Gardena, CA working as a maintenance supervisor in Torrance, CA School District. He and his wife Kathleen moved to Albuquerque in 2005 with his son, Donald and wife, Jane. Clyde was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Lewis and his brother, Everett Williams. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son, Donald Williams and wife, Jane of Albuquerque; brother, Cody Williams of California; grandchildren, Jim Williams of Kansas, Todd Lewis and Dale Lewis of Oregon; great-grandchildren, Paige Williams and Joel Lewis; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Daniels Family Funeral Services Chapel at Vista Verde , 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho.
