ARMIJO -- Albert Armijo, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and member of a prominent pioneer family dating back to the 1700s, passed away on July 10, 2006. He was 80 years old. Albert was a passionate political activist whose presence was felt in the Democratic Party from the ward level to the state level for many years. He honorably and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving in the South Pacific. As a young man, he became active in the union movement and was a member of the Boilermakers International Union. He was involved in many successful negotiations and positive changes. Albert was preceded in death by his mother and father, Amalia and Nestor Armijo. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eppie; daughter, Kathy Kloeppel and son-in-law, Ken Kloeppel; and granddaughter, Jenna Kloeppel. He is also survived by his three sisters, Bonnie Griego and husband, Fred, Mable Baca and husband, Ray, and Sarah Chavez. Also, brothers-in-law, Bill Bachicha and wife, Rose, Tomas Bachicha and wife, Betty, Joseph Bachicha and wife, Clara, Dr. Robert Bachicha and wife, Maria; and sister-in-law, Anna Bachicha Reynolds and husband, Anthony. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed and loved by everyone who knew him. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2006 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE with a Rosary to follow. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 14, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper St. NW. at 10:00 a.m. with Bill Bachicha, Thomas Bachicha, Joseph Bachicha, Dr. Robert Bachicha, Anthony Reynolds, John Silva, and Chris Silva serving as pallbearers. Fred Griego, Ray Baca, and Kenneth Kloeppel will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE.

BIGLEY -- Aline Elizabeth Bigley, 59, went to be with our Lord on Monday, July 10, 2006. Aline was born March 16, 1947 the daughter of Reginald and Rose Eva Boutin Paquin in Fall River, MA. Aline will always be remembered for her kind, pure heart. She never had an unkind word about anybody. She was skilled at crafts and sewing. Aline enjoyed reading and playing with her kittens, Mickey and Sally. She was loved by all. Aline was preceded in death by her father, Reginald Paquin. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jeff Bigley; her mother, Rose Paquin; beloved children, Kati Davis and husband, Bruce of Albuquerque, and Elise Bigley and husband, Jason Griffin of Seal Beach, CA; and her best friend and sister, Susanne Stafford of Garland, TX . BREWSTER -- THOMAS ERNEST BREWSTER April 2, 1935 - July 7, 2006 Thomas Ernest Brewster, 71, of Baker, NV, passed away Friday, July 7, 2006. He was born April 2, 1935 in Eagle Nest, NM to William T. and Sigrid Swanson Brewster. Spent most of his life in New Mexico working as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. Lived in Baker for the past 16 years and retired from National Park Service. Spent his retirement doing what he loved most, ranching, farming and most of all raising his 4 daughters. Proudly served his country in U.S. Navy with Construction Battalion Unit in Guam, Philippines and Vietnam. Survived by sons: Harold (Rebecca) Rouillard; William (Sherry) Rouillard; daughters: Amanda Brewster; Natalie Brewster, Sarah Brewster, Caitlin Brewster, Johnnye (Wade) Baker; and five other grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; sister: Catheryn (Bill) Hickman; nephew: Ron Hickman; aunt: Louise McBride, Ada Hovland; and numerous other cousins. Preceded in death by parents and daughter, Cathy. Tom was loved and admired by his entire community and will be missed dearly. Services: 1 p.m. (PDT) Sunday, July 16, 2006 in EskDale, UT. CLEAVINGER -- Cordelia Pat "Pitsy" Cleavinger, 80, passed away on July 10, 2006. Cordelia was born in Tierra Amarilla, NM, attended school in El Rito, NM, then moved to Albuquerque. She met and married Phillip Cleavinger and started their family soon thereafter. She is survived by her children, Daniel Cleavinger and wife, Lynda Bogar, Diana Hodges, Deborah Dailey and husband, Dennis, and David Cleavinger and wife, Sue, and Denise Cleavinger; one brother, Lawrence Martinez and wife, Candy; two sisters, Mary Ladner and husband, Bob and Isabel Bonnet and husband, Frank; four granddaughters, Tara and husband, Souheil Zekri, Micalene Cleavinger, Karissa and husband, John Wickre, Lara G.; five great-grandchildren, Emilee Wickre, Hakim and Malik Zekri, Elizabeth and Keelie G.; She was a spunky lady and loved playing bingo and traveling. She was a loving mother to her children. She deeply loved her wonderful husband, Herb, the father of her five children, and she missed him so much after his death in November of 2003. DOUGHERTY -- Cleo A. Dougherty, age 91, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July, 11, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Lillis, KS on December 9, 1914 to Patrick J. and Ellen F. Roach, Dougherty. Cleo has been a resident of New Mexico since 1940 and has worked for the AT&SF Railroad for 46 years where he was a telegrapher. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and took great pleasure traveling. Cleo is survived by his five children; Dennis M. Dougherty and Lynn of East Stroudsberg, PA, Richard L. Dougherty of Panorama City, CA, Charles A. Dougherty and wife, JoAnn of San Luis Obispo, CA, Patrick J. Dougherty and Faith, also Diane M. Ganzerla and Jim, both of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren; Michael Dougherty, Christopher Dougherty, Todd Dougherty, Colleen Nummelin, Megan Ganzerla, and Cory Ganzerla; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cleo was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ann M. Dougherty. DURAN -- Gabriel John Amador "Gabe" Duran of Phoenix, AZ passed away suddenly July 3, 2006. He was born in Socorro, NM May 24, 1951. He grew up in Albuquerque, NM and became a U.S. Navy Corpsman from 1970 to 1974. He moved to Phoenix in 1990 where he resided in Ahwatukee with his wife Camille M. Duran. "Gabe" worked in medical sales for numerous years and recently pursued a career in a hobby he loved at Creative Outdoor Kitchens. He is survived by his wife, Camille; his son, Gabriel (Robyn) Duran of Saugus, CA; grandson, Cameron Duran; his parents, Napoleon and Erlinda Duran of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Pauline (Rick) Roche of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Joe (Joanne) Duran and Laurence Duran of Albuquerque, NM; nephews, Elliott Duran, James Parr of Albuquerque, NM, Christopher Sandoval of Nebraska, Jaxon and Travis Gutierrez of Phoenix; and his niece, Lori Sandoval of Minnesota. FOX -- Frances Louise Fox died on July 6, 2006 after 83 awe-inspiring years of life. She faced death on her terms with dignity and courage. Her two sisters, her three children, and her three grandchildren survive her. She made friends easily and, as a result, will be missed by many. She was a self-reliant woman, a loving wife, best friend to her husband, and a mother to her children in every sense of the word. Frances was intelligent, even-tempered, honest, straightforward, generous, and prized by her family. She was an avid and eclectic reader with an insatiable interest in the world around her. Fran especially enjoyed in her lifetime, computer games, Bridge, Scrabble, Crossword Puzzles, playing classical guitar, singing, trading good jokes, and spending time with friends. She was a creative and independent thinker, an organizer, an artist, and a Master Gardener. All who knew her learned from her, and all who loved her are the better for it. JASSO -- MARTA M. Our loving mother has passed at the age of 57. She was born in Deming, NM and was born in 1949, the daughter of Lupe Chavez and Fred DeLaO. Marta M. Jasso was divorced when passing on July 6, 2006 as the Lord has taken her to be in heaven with her mother and father. Marta suffered from Type II Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure. She was a loving mother and survived by ex-husband, Daniel Jasso; sons, Danny, Gabriel, and Michael Jasso; daughter, Anna Jasso; daughters-in-law, Natasha, Darleen, and Sandra Jasso; son-in-law, Christopher Casey; grandchildren, Faith Grace, Cole Steven, Noah James, and Luke Evan Jasso. LOCKHART -- R.W. (Dick) Lockhart died in the early hours of July 5, 2006. He was a resident of Albuquerque since high school, and incredibly important to all those fortunate enough to have worked with or known him. He is survived by his wife; daughter; son-in-law; and chihuahuas. By his request there will be no Memorial Service at this time, but there may be one against his wishes at a later date for those who depended on him so that they can say good-bye.

LUCERO -- Gilbert R. Lucero, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Camerina Lucero; daughters, Gloria Leslie and husband, Mike and their children, Christopher and Maria and her husband, John; Rosemarie Sprick and children, Jennifer, Theresa, and Debra; Lori Hungate and children, Daniel, Angela, Joshua, Elliot, and Nathan; grandsons, Mario and Ray; eight great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jim Furiosi; and many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Furiosi; son, Rolando Lucero; and son-in-law, Gary Sprick. Gilbert served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a German POW. MENDOZA -- Michael Gene Mendoza, age 23, and Desiree Renee Mendoza, age 22, Brother and Sister, lifetime residents of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2006. Michael was employed with Annex General Contracting. Desiree was employed by Madrid Bails Bonding. They will be greatly missed because of their kind, loving, joyful spirits. Desiree is survived by her loving children: daughter, Nikkie Love and son, Nicholas Antonio and their father, Nicholas Wiggins. Their mother, Gina Mendoza and fiance, Jamie Rivera; sister, Alicia; and brother, Patrick survive them both. NIEHAUS -- MARGUERITE DOWLING Mrs. Marguerite Dowling Niehaus, age 78, died July 10, 2006 at River Landing at Sandy Ridge, High Point, NC, after a long illness. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point, NC by Father Anthony J. Gilborges, O.S.F.S., on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Lexington, KY. There will be no visitation. Marguerite was born in Louisville, KY to Herbert P. and Marie R. Dowling, former residents of Burgin, KY. She graduated from Our Lady of Cincinnati College (now Xavier University) in Cincinnati, OH. She married Richard C. Niehaus in 1954, who preceded her in death. They lived in Albuquerque, NM for twenty years and in Redding, CA for three years prior to moving to High Point in 1977. Surviving are several first cousins in Kentucky, Ohio, and Maryland, all members of the Niehaus-Weber families of Cincinnati. Marguerite had many friends everywhere she lived, especially Betty Griffin, Sarah Martin, and Mr. Gautam J. Kapadia of High Point. STIENFORT -- Marthalene Steinfort, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away July 10, 2006. Marthalene was born to Otto and Jennie Loest on August 16, 1919 in King City, MO. In 1930 Marthalene and her family moved to Colorado where she completed her general education. In the fall of 1937 she married her late husband, Kenneth Steinfort and moved just a few years later to Gallup, NM. They moved to Albuquerque in 1954. Marthalene is survived by her daughter, Nan C. Adams; son, Terry D. Steinfort and wife, Gennine; sister ,Virginia Zimmerman; brothers, Woodrow Loest and O.W. Loest; grandchildren, Eric Steinfort, Jesse Cole Steinfort, Sean D. Steinfort, Kenneth Adams, Michael Adams, David Adams, Tanna Philpot, and Trishonna Hudson; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Amanda Adams, and Chase Adams. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Steinfort; one brother; three sisters; and her parents. SUDDARTH -- George Suddarth, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, July 10, 2006. He was 81 years old and was born in Fairfield, IL. He served in the Navy during World War II, worked as a painter and was the Business Manager of the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades Local Union 823 for 28 years. He loved fishing with his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed bluegrass music and cutting firewood. He is survived by his children, TeresiaLee Hollinger and husband, Bob of Mill Shoals, IL, Joni Beaty and husband, Jim, of Albuquerque, Kevin Suddarth and wife, Susanna of Albuquerque, Karla Jenkins and husband, Thomas of Edgewood, and Dawn Traffanstedt and husband, Duane, of Albuquerque. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. TRUJILLO -- Samuel "Pampo" Trujillo, age 96, passed away on Monday July 10, 2006, following a short illness, Samuel was born on September 4, 1909. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie "Fefa"; and his son, Robert J. Trujillo. He is survived by his daughters, Lucille Garcia and husband, Richard R. Garcia of Albuquerque and Nora Candelaria of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Rudy Candelaria and wife, Rhonda; Larry Candelaria and wife, Deanna; Dennis Trujillo and wife, Sherrie; Debbie Mathews and husband, Mike; Sandra Garcia and fiance, Harry Jiron; D'Anna Stifler and husband, Raymond; and Rick Garcia; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Kyle, Casey, Ty, Lacie, Colter, Callie, Donnie, Melissa, Nicholas, and Lindsey; and four great-great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW. with internment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE.
