FAUCON -- Ivan Faucon (retired Major U.S. Army) resident of Albuquerque passed away in his home on April 8, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ivan was born on May 31, 1922 in Springfield, Illinois to Martha and Valentine Faucon. A Veteran of WWII, Ivan joined the U.S. Calvary in 1940 and retired after 25 years of service from the Corps of Engineers, and again, after another 25 years with the Civil Service. In 1945 Ivan Faucon would meet his Bride (and his match), Rolande Poulard in Reims, France. Their love and their life together would last for over 60 years and in concert they would travel the world, sharing this wanderlust with their children. Ivan, from humble beginnings, became a mentor for his colleagues, children, nieces, nephews and surrogate sons and daughters. His wise advise was always highly valued. He was also a builder, an engineer, and a soldier. However, second to being a husband, Ivan was a father, and our final lesson comes from him through Corinthians, Chapter 13, verses 4 -13: .Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; Does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. .For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Ivan is preceded in death by his son, Phillip Faucon. Survivors include his wife, Rolande Faucon; sibling, Arthur Faucon; son and wife, Ivan and Barbara Faucon; daughter and husband, Micheline and Michael Repasky, their children Aaron and Renee Repasky; and daughter and husband, Carmen and Barry Woodward. The family would like to thank my mother's sister, Micheline Coen, for her endless devotion, the San Juan Bautista Parish for their prayers and Vista Care-Hospice for helping the family transition with Ivan's decline in health. .Though grave digger's toil is long, sharp their spades, their muscles strong. They but thrust their buried men, back in the human mind again. -Under Ben Bulben, William Yeats A burial for his earthly remains with full military honors will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on May 29, 2006 11:00 a.m.

GODINEZ -- Helen Helen Armijo Godinez April 29, 1933-April 14, 2004 Mom, As I sat watching by your bed A million thoughts ran through my head. Of just how much were you aware? Did you know that I was there? Could you feel the love I sent, In whispered word, Or prayer bent? Upon my cross as I asked God, To spare your life for my selfish cause? So that I could tell you just once more, "I love you Mom!" as I had before. And we could chat like days of old, Over cans of Sprite rimmed with gold. And laugh and joke, or just to share some small hurt and perhaps a tear. To talk of the past, or things yet to do. To sniffle, and sneeze, and say "Bless You!" All these dreams now hang in shreds, As I sit here with bowed down head. And ponder on these sad thoughts. Just to wonder, "Was it all for naught?" It's been two years that you have been gone, "I Love and Miss You!" Your Daughter, Frieda Maldonado

If you were a big bold rainbow I'd be your pot of gold. You would shine up in the sky so high So brightly and so bold. You would follow a summer storm So dreary and so dark, With bright majestic colors That calls out to even the smallest meadowlark. If you were an ocean With giant waves crashing upon the land I'd be with you always In every simple grain of sand. And if you were a river Running frantically to the sea I'd run along beside you Through the tangles of the trees. What if you were that tree Growing tall straight and true I'd grow right there with you To help guide you to the blue. And what if you were a puppy So bouncy and so new I'd be your best friends always We would run and play and that's what we'd do. But you're none of those things Yet all of them, too So I can be with you always And tell them often, I love you. In these days when even old friends can be insidious, nefarious and evil, I try to remember the golden days with God and you and Troika when truth and honesty and love were understood and when the last thought we had was how to hurt the other. Sadly, I have found that you are a rarity in this world. As I bask in the memory of those happy times, my soul is aglow with love for you. We love you forever!! Terry and Troika

God saw you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So He put his arms around you And whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer And saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating Hardworking hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us... That He only takes the best! It's lonesome here without you, We miss you more each day. Life doesn't seem the same, Since you went away. When days are sad and lonely, And everything goes wrong, We seem to hear you whisper, "Cheer up and carry on." Each time we see your picture, You seem to smile and say, "Don't cry, I'm in God's hands, We'll meet again someday!" Sunrise Funeral Options 7601 Wyoming NE Albuquerque, NM 87109 505-821-0010

Remember Me When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary mile, just forget if you can that I ever frowned and only remember my smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken; remember the good I have done. Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I've had loads of fun. Forget that I've stumbled and blundered and sometime fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won, ere the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day. But in summer just gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay. And come in the shade of evening when the sun paints the sky in the West. Stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400
