DURHAM -- Roger E. Durham May 23, 1949 - December 11, 2005 I had a beautiful life. I didn't choose to leave it behind like this but He has something else in mind for me. Perhaps He needed to complete another foursome up in heaven. I would like to let you, my friends and family, know how much you all meant to me. I didn't get a chance to see everyone that I had shared a smile or kinds words with these last months but know that you added to my life and made it special just by meeting you. Dr. Clark Haskins, you made this part of my life journey bearable and I want to let you know how much I appreciate what you did for me, your buddy, and for Angela. Sheri, my personal cheerleader, you are great. Thank you to the entire Presbyterian Hospice Team, especially Jayne, who stepped in and smoothed out some wrinkles and helped me and my family at the end; we learned that 'quality' of life is what is important, thanks to all of you. Thank you to my parents, Ferman and Virginia, who raised a good man, husband and father. Ferman, my brother, grow old and take care. Paul, keep playing good golf as I will be with you. Pepper, what a ride, keep it going brother. Kenny, my twin, what can I say. Russ, 10/4 man, until I see you again. Karen, your soft hands are gifted. Freddi and Opal, keep an eye on Angela like you did me. Mary, keep the dogs happy. Steve and Lisa, my kids are blessed with you around. Nancy, little sis, I will always be there. Julie, stay close. Linda, you are terrific. Jeff and Moira, be strong. Henry, keep pressing! Maurice, I looked forward to your calls. Kim and Jordyn, you are beautiful. My Dawgs, hit 'em long and straight! To all my College of Artesia friends, those were the days and I was blessed to be there with you guys! Pete and Jack, thanks for coming and reliving those days with me. 'Over 40 Gang,' keep going over 80! I could keep going on as there are so many wonderful colleagues and friends that I have met along the way that contributed to my life, however, God has called me up but know that I thank you all for the times we spent together. Andre, son, I am so proud of the young man you are becoming and Natalie, my princess; you have all the brains, beauty and charm to get you through this life. I am sorry that I didn't get to see you guys grow up but I will be watching and praying for you to have wonderful and full lives. Pick a career you feel passionate about, always do your best, take time to love and care for each other; take care of mommy for me, and above all else, live life to its fullest. You are the best children any father could ever have and I will always love you and be close by. Ang, there was so much we still had to do and say to each other. We will pick up from where we left off when we are together again. I am sorry I had to leave you so soon, I love you. Rosary on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 7 p.m. and Mass on December 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. at John XXIII. Roger's Service will also be held at the University Golf Course on December 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. for everyone who wants to be part of his "Celebration of Life." Bring a story or two to share.

You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide; And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same; But as God calls us home one by one, The chain will link again. We love you Juan, you'll forever be in our hearts. Love Mom, Dad, and Sisters
