ADAMS -- William Dow "Pete" Adams, 80, born February 24, 1925 in Clovis, NM, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005. He enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 16, served his country during WWII, the Korean War, and retired after 20 years of service. He then worked for ACF Industries and UNM Civil Engineering Research Facility, until his retirement in 1986. "POP" was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, Lobo basketball, pinochle, golf, and working with his hands. He will be remembered by all for his generosity, love and devotion to family and friends and for his innate ability to build and repair most anything. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Bernice C. Adams; sister, Ann Wilkins; son, Gary Adams and wife, Kay; daughter, Linda Marsh and husband, David; step-daughter, Diane Chase; grandchildren, Cori Moore and husband, Sean, Andrea Sanchez and husband, Greg; Douglas Ray, and Michael Marsh; great-grandchildren, Joel, Thomas, Kelsi, Ryan and Ian; as well as many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife of over 50 years, Margaret Simpson Adams, mother, Ara Adams, father, Claude Adams, and brother, AJ Adams. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo del Norte NE, Albuquerque. Interment with full military honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. EATON -- LeAnn Melissa Eaton, age 26, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, for the past 15 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2005. She was born on March 26, 1979, in Shiprock, NM. LeAnn was a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend to many. She was always bright, cheerful and full of laughter. She was employed by Isleta Casino. She is survived by her son, Jonathan; three sisters, Michelle Bustretsky, Amber Eaton, Candyce Eaton; one brother, Matthew Eaton; mother, Peggy Eaton; father, Manuel Eaton; grandmother, Rosie Lewis; three nieces, Alyssa, Brianna and Kayleigh; and one nephew, Adian; also numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Allan and Mary King and Ben Lewis. Visitation will be at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Avenue, SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on July 24, 2005. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Chelwood Christian Church, 2200 Chelwood Park Blvd. with Pastor Roger Bouwman. HERRON -- Filiberto "Phil" Herron, age 82, was called home on Wednesday, July 20, 2005. Beloved father, grandfather, and brother, we will miss him immensely. He is survived by his 11 children, Betty Mackall, Benny Herron, Mary Chavez, Robert Herron and wife, Anna, Johnny Herron and wife, Anna, Marvin Herron, Felix Herron (deceased), James Herron and wife, Pefie, Della Herron, Leo Herron, Theresa Fresquez and husband, Charlie; and brother, Diego Gonzales and wife, Senaida. He also has 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Phil always knew how to make us smile and will continue to do so as we remember and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations. A viewing is scheduled to be held at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. He will then be cremated and laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.

LEVIN -- Robert A. Levin passed away peacefully in his sleep early Tuesday morning, July 19, 2005. He was born on July 24, 1919 in Ogdensburg, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay; and daughter, Betsy. He is survived by his son, David Levin and David's wife, Sandy Murdock; and his daughter, Rachel Levin. He has many loving grandchildren, Shane Thompson and his wife, Jennifer, Anna, Nick, Peter, and Abby Levin; and two great grandchildren, Hunter and Dakota Thompson. Bob and Kay raised their children in Evanston, IL, and then moved to a farm in Cleveland, WI. Bob moved to Albuquerque in October, 1991, two years after his wife's death, and has been active in New Mexico civic life since then. Bob's journey through the end of life process was greatly assisted by many people, especially his large family of friends in the Jewish community and the Presbyterian Hospice Group, and the family thanks them all. A Memorial Service will be held at Nahalot Shalom, 3606 Rio Grande NW, Albuquerque, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2005 followed by a celebration of his life and 86th birthday at his home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests individual contributions of any kind to progressive issues and causes in the furtherance of the peace he prayed for. LUCERO -- Gloria Maria, age 71, beloved mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2005, after a long illness with Parkinson. Gloria is survived by her loving children, Lt. Col. Norberto Fierro, Jr. and wife, Marie of Helotes, TX, Ida Maria Fierro, Marian Lucero-Barner and husband, John, and Mariano Lucero II; her precious grandchildren, Jessica and husband, Juan, Andress, Vanessa, Adrian, Catherine, Mariah, Jacqueline, Mariano III, Jacob, Michaela, and Jonathan; one great-grandson, Jerome. Gloria will be greatly missed by her loving family. On behalf of the immediate family, sincere appreciation is extended the to entire staff at Ladera Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for the love, kindness, and support expressed while Gloria was in their care. MARTINEZ -- Mariano (Eppie) Martinez passed away at home with his loving family at his side on July 21, 2005. Eppie was born in Mosquero, NM on November 22, 1922. Eppie was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Bonifacia Martinez; his brothers, Celso Martinez of Avondale, CO, and Mike Martinez of Albuquerque. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Lena. He is also survived by his daughter, Mary Jane Thibodeau; son, Morris Martinez, a very special wife and daughter-in-law, Mary P.; his sisters, Pauline Bowen and husband, Larry, and Vicky Lopez of Denver, CO; brothers, Johnny Martinez of Colorado Springs, CO, Nicky Martinez and wife, Ila of Oklahoma. Eppie was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving 21 years. He was in the Korean War Conflict, European Theater, Laos and Cambodia where he served with all his buddies whom he always calls his boys. Eppie served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Therese Church, was a Chaplain for the DAV Chapter 3 and American Legion Post 100. We would like to thank Lovelace Hospice for their support during our dad's illness, especially his nurse, Judy Peet who was very compassionate and kind. Our dad had many friends and will be missed by all. Eppie had 6 grandchildren whom he loved, Julian Martinez, Valerie Thibodeau, Edwin Martinez, Melissa Kibler and husband, Jason of Missouri, Deborah Gutierrez and husband, Orlando, Crystal Thibodeau and special friend, Honorio; along with 8 great-grandchildren, Christina Thibodeau, Deedra, Orlando (Bubba), Orian and Demitria Gutierrez, Kayla Kibler, Isiah Martinez and Maricella Mendoza. A Rosary for Mr. Martinez will be recited on Sunday evening, July 24, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2005 also at St. Therese Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Julian Martinez, Edwin Martinez, Martin (Marty) Padilla, Orlando Gutierrez, William (Billy) Sanchez and Dennis Duran. MILLER -- Arlene Seitzinger Miller, 77, a resident of Albuquerque for 14 years, died Thursday, July 21, 2005. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Melvin T. Miller; daughter, Mara Dohrmann; son, Marc Miller; and five grandchildren, Jeremy, Sean, Marc, Veronica and Jennie. She was born May 27, 1928 in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Hirsch high school in Chicago, IL and a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago. Mrs. Miller was a well known Midwest artist. She is a member of the artist-owned Corrales Bosque Gallery and was a winner of many sculpture awards in New Mexico. ROBERTSON -- William Melton. Passed away on July 17, 2005. Born on April 22, 1911 in Trinidad, CO. A resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, he was the principal of Ranchos Elmentary School for over 30 years. He is predeceased by his wife, Maple and survived by sons, William M. Robertson (Martha) of Arcadia, CA. and Wade E. Robertson (Patricia) of Falls Church, VA; three grandchildren, (Cindy, Jason, (Leila), Darren); and two great-grandchildren. ROMERO -- Joe "MAX" Romero age 75 November 11, 1929 - July 17, 2005 Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather was called home on July 17, 2005. His beloved wife, Rumie Romero of fifty-one years preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, JoAnn Armijo husband, Pete, Anthony Romero wife, Joyce, Roberta Garcia husband, Wayne, David Romero wife, Emmie, and Charles Romero wife, Julie. He is survived by 14 grandchildren, Pete A. Armijo, Brandy Ramirez husband, Sal, John Romero wife, Sandy, Armand Romero, and Mariah Romero, Chris Garcia, Heather Garcia, Crystal Romero, Nycole Valdez, Jennifer Romero, Casey Romero, Max Romero, Felecia Romero, Alex Romero; and three great-grandchildren, Danika Romero, Arianna Romero and Julian Trujillo; and two surviving sisters, Fillie Rubio and Amelia Velasquez. Max graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1948 and was inducted into the United States Army where he received the Korean Service Medal with the Bronze Service Star. The family will be having a gathering at his home on Sunday July 24, 2005 at 3:00 p.m.

WASMUND -- William Frederick Wasmund Sr., age 92, most recently of Sherman, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Texoma Healthcare Center. He was born Monday, March 31, 1913 in Detroit, MI to Edward C. and Clara A. (Vorpagel) Wasmund. Mr. Wasmund was a cost accountant for numerous companies in the Detroit area before relocating to Albuquerque where he ran Wasmund Construction for many years. He was an active member of Christ The Ray of Hope Lutheran Church in Albuquerque and enjoyed square dancing for many years. Mr. Wasmund was preceded in death by his second wife, Jean; and older brother, Edward. He is survived by former spouses, Charlotte Wasmund and Ruth Mullen Slayton; two sons, William F. Wasmund Jr. and wife, Linda, of Minneapolis, MN and Paul D. Wasmund and wife, Loide, of Denison, TX; daughter, Susan Firman of Detroit, MI; stepdaughters, Stefani Walker of Albuquerque, NM, Marty Palmer and husband, Brian, of St. Louis, MO, Melissa Pfeiffer and husband, Don, of Chicago, IL; stepsons, Michael Mullen and wife, Nadine, of Denver, CO, Tom Mullen and wife, Linda, of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, PFC Andrew Wasmund, Jessica Wasmund, Michelle Wasmund, Danielle Firman, Melissa Firman, Max Firman, Jr., and Justin Firman.
