ANDREWS -- Arthell W. "Bill" Andrews, 78, a resident of Albuquerque for 17 years, died Sunday, June 19, 2005. He was eighth of fifteen children born to Sam S. and Grace Andrews. Mr. Andrews worked for many years at Furr's Cafeteria, retiring as a Program Director. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Mary Huse Andrews; children, Sandra Andrews of Albuquerque, Father Mark Andrews and wife, Annie of White Haven, PA, Pamela Hellriegel of Austin, TX, and Rebecca Calkins and husband, Robert of Los Lunas, NM; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara McAdams and husband, Harry of Hobbs, NM, Ernestine Locklin and Dorothy Coats, both of Temple, TX, Harvey Andrews of Odessa, TX, Denman Andrews and wife, Sharlis of Odessa, TX, and Harold Andrews and wife, Betsy of Lubbock, TX. BACA -- Abel Baca, age 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at a local hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gertrud. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Chavez and husband Gilbert and Heidi Mueller and husband Wayne, all of Albuquerque; two Grandchildren, Anthony and Ashley Chavez; two sisters, Evangeline Bojorquez , Viola Garcia and husband William; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Baca was born in Belen. He served in the Army during World War II where he met his future wife Gertrud. He continued his hobby of farming until his early 80s after retiring from the Veterans hospital. His family would like to remember him by his kind loving spirit, and good wholesome values. The Rosary will be held Wednesday June 22, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in Palm Chapel at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. BEMIS -- TAMSIN FAITH BEMIS Beloved daughter of Lisa and Gregg Bemis, wife of Joseph Thompson, sister of David Evalyn, Ted, Jennifer and Stephanie, died suddenly this Saturday, June 18, 2005. She was just shy of 39 years old. She will be missed, beyond belief by her family for her love of family, great spirit, and lively sense of humor, as well as by her many friends and her dogs which she so dearly loved. Services will be private. Remembrances may be sent to the Santa Fe or Albuquerque animal shelters.

BIGLEY -- Dolores E. Bigley, 78, a long-time Albuquerque resident, died Friday, June 17, 2005. She is survived by her son, Manuel Bigley of Albuquerque; sister, Mary Laudavazo of Apache Junction, AZ; and brother, Max Garcia of Gallup, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bigley. Mrs. Bigley was a life member of VFW Post 401 Auxiliary. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Monday, June 27, 2005, 3:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. CAIRE -- Eloy David Caire passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2005, in Riverside, California. Born to William and Ruth Caire in Albuquerque, "Loydie" served in the Army as a sergeant and was wounded in Korea. He raised his family in Los Angeles and then returned to Albuquerque to work for B C Bail Bonds. He is survived by his children, Debra, Loydie and Dennis and his many loving step-children. A Memorial service will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 309 Stover Ave SW, on June 25, 2005 at 5:00 p.m.

He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Elizabeth Chavez; daughter, Angelique Griego; brother, Eddie Chavez; and his father, Raymond Chavez Sr. He is survived by his mother, Nora Chavez; his wife Rebekah Salas-Chavez; his sons, Michael Chavez Jr, Kenneth Edward Chavez and wife Michelle Chavez; daughter ,Reanna Chavez; sisters, Elsie Romero and husband Frank, Lilian Milligan, Annette Chavez, Karen Vallejos and husband Jimmy; brother, Raymond Chavez Jr and wife Barbra; granddaughters: Samantha, Cassandra, Angelique, and Felisha; one grandson, Dominic; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous friends. GROGLIO -- Gerald W. Groglio, 82, passed away on June 17, 2005. Gerald was born February 14, 1923 and raised in Rye, NY. He graduated from Rye High School. WW II veteran, served in European Theater - Battle of Normandy at Omaha Beach. After an honorable discharge, he returned to school majoring in electronics. An avid golfer his entire life, he spent over 20 years happily retired, golfing and making wonderful friends in sunny New Mexico. He was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Michael; his parents, Jerry and Mary Groglio; and two brothers, William and Joseph. Gerald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Terri; son, Neil and wife Marcia; daughter, Kathy and husband John; three grandchildren, Kelly, Christopher, and John; brothers, Nicholas, George, and John; and sister, Angela Anderson. He's just a common Veteran & his ranks are growing thin. If we cannot do him Honor, while he's here to hear the Praise. Then at least let's give him homage, at the ending of his days, Our country is in mourning for a Veteran died today. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Final resting place will be in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. JONES -- Marie Jones, age 79, a former resident of Albuquerque from 1948 to 1995 and of Raytown, MO for the last ten years, died in Raytown on June 16, 2005 following an illness. Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter, Jeri L. Jones of Raytown; her son, Jack F. Jones II and his wife Kathy of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Mickey, Jacob and Andrew; her sister, Mary Margaret Schnider-Muhr of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack F. Jones in 1978. Mrs. Jones had been an employee of St. Joseph Hospital for 25 years. A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday June 24, 2005 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 6900 Los Volcanes Rd. NW. KATHAN -- Marshall Kathan passed away on June 19, 2005. He was born June 1, 1906 in Osage, IA, to Charles and Emma Kathan. He had been a resident of Albuquerque for 32 years since his retirement. Marshall was a graduate of Iowa State Teachers College. He later attended the National Academy of Art in Chicago, the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC, and studied in Paris for one year. He was a WWII veteran, having achieved the rank of Captain in the US Army. His career in art involved stage sets and costume drawing; and he spent many years working for the Government as an art illustrator for the US Weather Bureau, and the Dept. of Labor as a technical illustrator. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Maurice Kathan; and sister, Grace Shumate. He is survived by a niece, Colleen Gast and a nephew, Gregory Kathan of Iowa; and many grandnieces and grandnephews; also by his close friends, Ray and Millie Miller of Albuquerque. KING -- CMSGT Curtis F. King, USAF (Ret.) 84, died Monday, June 20, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Greta King; children, Patressa King of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert F. King and wife, Anna of Sandia Park, NM, Diana Alexander and husband, George of San Angelo, TX, Curtis King, Jr., Wayne L. King and wife, Stephanie, all of Albuquerque, NM; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Paula Caster of Crescent City, CA; and nieces, nephews and friends. Curtis is preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Hamer. He was born in Slick, OK, entered the U.S. Army at a young age, and later entered the U.S. Air Force. Curtis served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict, retiring in 1961. He then worked for the Dept. of Defense at Kirtland AFB for 20 years, until his retirement. Curtis was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. MILLER -- Harvey Mathias Miller Jr., 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955 passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2005. He was born on July 25, 1924 in York, PA. Harvey is survived by his daughters, Lisa Marie Cook and husband, Gregory of Kansas City, MO and Ami DiGregorio and husband, Michael of Albuquerque. Also surviving are his granddaughters, Danielle DiGregorio, Katelyn and Amanda Cook, and many special friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor Lillie Miller; his parents, Harvey and Sadie Miller; and his sister, Clara Marie Miller. Harvey was a member of The United States Air Force from 1943 to 1965. He was a fighter pilot with 499th Fighter Squadron and received the National Defense Service Medal and Commendation Ribbon. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College and received a BA in Physics. Harvey was president of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and a member of Sigma Pi Sigma National Honorary Physics Society. He was employed with Sandia National Laboratories as a Nuclear Physicist from 1955 to 1982. He was a member of the Sandia Roadrunners RV Club and Sandia Thunderbirds. Harvey was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. REILLY -- Betty Jane Reilly, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all, died on Sunday, June 19, 2005. She was born on Wednesday, December 25, 1918 in Pueblo, CO and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1944. She is survived by her son, John T. Reilly, Jr. and wife, Dawn; daughters, Katie A. Thompson and Patricia J. Reilly; grandchildren, Sarai, Nissa, Meghan and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Laine and Kaden; her beloved dog, Sasha; and many, many friends. STORY -- Paul H. Story, 74, passed from this life on June 18, 2005. Paul is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Diana; one sister, Belva Rice and her husband, Charles of Woodward, OK; father- in-law and mother-in-law, Juan and Marcella Lopez of Albuquerque; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosalie Lopez de Spinello, James (Jim) Spinello of Albuquerque; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John (Ken) Lopez and Leslie Lopez of Cherryville, NC; brother-in-law, Stayton Milligan of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by daughter, Debra Sue and her husband, William Langbehn; son, Doyle Sherman and his wife, Kary; sons, Richard Paul and John Jason; and daughters, Ariana and Aeriss; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. TENNYSON -- George Pete Tennyson, Jr. passed away suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage on Thursday, June 16, 2005 in Fort Collins, CO. He was blessed by the presence of his close family and wife at the time of his death. George was born on May 12, 1929 in Portland, OR to Myrtle Amelia Nordin and George Peter Tennyson, Sr. Raised in Portland, George went on to obtain a degree in Mathematics from Oregon State University in 1951. Soon thereafter, he earned a degree in Meteorology from the University of Washington. George went on to serve in the United States Air Force as a Meteorologist during the Korean conflict - stationed both in Japan and Korea. In 1955, upon returning to the United States, George entered private industry as a Design Engineer for Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, KS. It was at Cessna that George met his wife of 45 years, Glenda Fay Tennyson. He later joined Boeing Aircraft of Wichita, KS as an engineer. In 1962, George moved his family to Washington, DC when he accepted a position with the Headquarters of the National Air and Space Administration. There, he worked as a Meteorologist in both the Apollo and Nimbus programs. In 1975, George accepted a position within the Department of Energy. He worked in the management of Small Wind Systems Development, and Wind Characteristics Programs. In 1979, he transferred to the Albuquerque, NM field office of DOE. After 36 years of US Government service, George retired on June 3, 1994. During his eleven years of retirement, George enjoyed camping, travel, church activities, working as a volunteer on political campaigns and at election polls, and serving as the Chaplain of the Duke City NARFE Chapter 1411. George's love of life grew with each passing year. He will be remembered for his kind heart, high intellect, and as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. George is survived by his wife, Glenda; his sons Steven and wife Elizabeth of Albuquerque, Thomas of Houston, TX, and Robert and wife Shannon of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Sara, Ryan, and Carter. He was preceded in death by both parents, and a grandchild, Nicholas. Memorial services will be held for George Tennyson on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Rd. NE. WORTHEN -- William M. Worthen, 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, passed away June 19, 2005. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his son, Loren H. Worthen; his daughter, Kara R. Pharris and her husband Robert; his cherished granddaughter, Kelsey Caye Worthen; his dear brother, Ellery E. Worthen and his wife Nancy; his niece, Sara R. Worthen and her husband Travis James; a brother-in-law, William P. McDonald and his wife Connie Lee. He is also survived by several cousins and many wonderful friends. Bill was a graduate of Rio Grande High School and the University of New Mexico. He created many beautiful metal sculptures and received numerous awards. His work was displayed in galleries in New Mexico and in out-of-state invitationals. Bill taught industrial arts and arts and crafts at Harrison Junior High School from 1968 to 1977. In 1977, he founded Worthen Memorials, Inc., a family-owned business. Bill's hobbies were hot rods and motorcycles. He enjoyed the mountains, but was intrigued by the desert. His joys were times spent with his friends and especially with his family. He was a gentle and patient man with a big heart. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday June 24, 2005 at the Newman Center, UNM campus, 1815 Las Lomas NE. ZOLMAN -- Linn T. "Ted" Zolman, Jr., a longtime resident of Albuquerque and more recently residing in Bovina, Texas and Fort Sumner, New Mexico passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2005 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 24, 1937 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was the son of the late Linn T. and Florence M. Zolman. He graduated from Valley High School Albuquerque in 1955. Ted retired as Master Sergeant with the New Mexico Air National Guard after 30 years of duty. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal which distinguished him in the performance of outstanding service of the United States while assigned to the 150th Logistics Support Flight at Kirtland Air Force Base. He also retired as a driver with Greyhound Bus Lines where he received numerous safe driving awards. He was the New Mexico State Fair Horse Arena Manager for several years and most recently attended Rodeo Announcing School and worked at Rodeos in New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. He enjoyed Trail Riding, attending Cowboy Symposiums, experimenting with Dutch oven cooking and buying fix-up properties for resale. Ted is survived by four sons, Phillip Linn Zolman of Tulia, Texas, David Bruce Zolman of Cornville, Arizona, Michael Dean "Stoney" Zolman of Bennett, Colorado and Linn T. "Trace" Zolman, III; one daughter, Michelle Zolman of Clovis, NM; and six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by three sisters, Loretta K. Logsdon of Albuquerque, NM, Carole J. Smith of Bovina, Texas, and Georgia A. Sciacca of Trinidad, Colorado. Ted is preceded in death by a brother, James Michael Zolman. The family will be serving a light meal at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Bosque Arena on the north Bosque Loop, Bosque Farms, NM for friends and family and with a memorial service to begin there at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Bosque Farms Rodeo Association, 1040 Arena Rd., Bosque Farms, NM 87068.
