MIERA -- Mary Miera January 1, 1907 - October 30, 2003 Nobody Tells a Story Like Grandma - Grandmas are a special blessing. Wise beyond her years, she seems to know so much about so many things. She knows about faith because there were times when that was all she had. Time, because she's discovered what's important and what's not. Unconditional love, because she's practiced it her whole life. Cooking, because even canned corn tastes better at grandma's. Finance, because she learned to stretch a dollar so there is enough left over to buy a special treat. And literature, because nobody tells a story like grandma. - Bill Stross We miss you and will always love you. Ernest, Lisa, Phil, Beverly & Mark

I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings, Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. - John Gillespie Magee, Jr. (1941) French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400
