AGUILAR -- Antonia S. Aguilar, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1983 died Sunday, February 22, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Fabie Solano and husband, Andy of Raton; son, Isidro Solano and wife, Mary Jane of Corrales; daughter, Maria (Timmie) Lujan and husband, Tony of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Dolores (Lola) Salazar of Bernal. Mrs. Aguilar was preceded in death by her first husband, Raphael G. Solano; and her second husband Cipriano Aguilar; three infant children and one great-granddaughter. Antonia was born and raised in Bernal, NM where she dedicated herself to raising her three surviving children. She was a hard working woman who worked as a school teacher, nurse and rancher in Bernal. Antonia lived her life to the fullest. She overcame many obstacles that came her way. She was devoted to the Catholic Church and remained active through her 92 years. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel, with Deacon Bob Lewis, reciting. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until time of Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW with Fr. Joe Vigil, celebrant. FRANK -- Dr. William J. Frank, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1985, died Sunday, February 22, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Frank of Albuquerque; his son, William E. Frank and wife, Judy and grandson, Matthew Frank, all of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; sister, Helen Frank of Great Neck, NY; step children, Richard Cozby of Moriarty, Jan Hess and her husband, John Aguirre of Santa Rosa, CA and Robert Cozby of Albuquerque, NM, and his step grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Albuquerque, NM and of SLC, UT. William will also be sorely missed and dearly remembered by all of his extended relations through out the country, and by all his new found family and friends of New Mexico. Dr. Frank, a veteran of WWII, received a B.S. and M.S. degree from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. He was a cherished member of various clubs, associations, and took part in numerous charity organizations. He was a gentleman who was always to be found in the company of friends; he had an unquenchable thirst for all the beauty of nature, took solace in many scholastic interests, and discovered some of the greatest joy from his golden years through extensive travels. Memorial rosary will be recited Thursday, February 26, 2004, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 27, 2004, at 9:00 a.m., at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, 87112. GRIEGO -- Christopher Alexander Griego, 19, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on November 19, 1984 in Albuquerque. Christopher lived in Lake Havasu City for five years, moving there from Sacramento, CA. For the past year he worked for Mission Linen in Lake Havasu City in the production department, and at J.B's Restaurant as a server. Chris is survived by his loving family, mother, Deborah Alexis Holm of Lake Havasu City; grandmother, affectionately known as "Granny" Theresa Griego of Albuquerque; grandfather, Alex Griego of Albuquerque; aunts, Dolores Sivertson and Elizabeth Krug, and uncle, Mike Griego, all of Albuquerque; aunt, Darlene Davis of Fernandina Beach, FL; uncle, Larry and aunt, Traci Casias and cousin, Michael Sean Griego, all of Albuquerque; and aunt, Patrika Griego. He will also be dearly missed by his 18 cousins. Christopher loved basketball, football, music, and especially cherished his mother, grandmother, and numerous friends. He was a special person with a big heart and his beautiful smile will be held dear to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. HARROD -- Betty B. Harrod, 85, a resident of Albuquerque for the past year, died on Saturday, February 21, 2004. She graduated from Russell Sage College and was employed at Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute for many years where her husband served as Dean of Students. She retired to Cumberland Foreside, Maine, and continued to help others, serving on the alter guild of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and volunteered at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine. Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ira E. "Joe" Harrod; son, Peter E. Harrod and wife, Anna; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Harrod Clark, James Harrod, Rachael Conti, Daniel Harrod and Gabriela Rose Harrod, and six great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, James Cathell Harrod. JENKINS -- Edwin L Jenkins Jr. (Ed) Peacefully passed away while at his home in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Edwin L. Jenkins and his motherVernon Hallet Jenkins. He is survived by his wife Ernestine (Tina) Noedel Jenkins, son Van Eric Jenkins and wife Jeanelle of HopKinvilleKy. and five (5) grandchildren- Jason, Brian, Adam, Amy and Emily Jenkins. Step-children Jerry Noedel and wife Elvira (Shorty) Noedel of Santa Fe, Mike Orrison wife Connie Warrensburg Mo. Richard Noedel -Doris Noedel Albuquerque, Tom and Anna Dannenbaum -Scottsdale AZ., 13 grand children and sister Mrs. Bobbie Bell. Mr. Jenkins was a World War II veteran serving in Japan as an Officer for the United States Air Force. He retired from the Sandia Laboratories after 27 years of service. NEWELL -- Mildred Daniel Newell, 94, a long time resident of Albuquerque and Ft. Sumner, NM died on Thursday, February 12, 2004. She is survived by four grandchildren, Nancie Bagdon and husband, Al, Troy Newell and wife, Kim, Linora Claussen and Kent Newell all of Denver, CO. Three great-grandchildren, Stacie Nicholson Brader and husband, Ryan, Kellie Nicholson Edwards and husband, Brian, and Jared Gene Newell. One great-great- granddaughter, Alison Edwards. Mildred is also survived by two sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Newell and son, Bob Newell. Mildred's husband worked as a welder and was very talented in every phase of ironwork. Upon his retirement, Mildred and Lou moved to Ft. Sumner. When they traveled back to Albuquerque, they always had a room with their good friends, Dr. Paul and Marty Lambert. Mildred was a loving wife and mother who loved her home and especially working in her yard. She was an avid collector of bottles, cans, stamps and many other items of interest to her. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 27, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Floydada Cemetery in Floydada, TX. Pallbearers will be Troy Newell, Kent Newell, Dr. Paul Lambert, Brett Lambert and Sen. PATRICK -- Elsie I. Patrick, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 16 years, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2004. Survivors include husband, G.R. RODGERS -- The Rev. Fred L. Rodgers, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, February 21, 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Emily E. Wirth of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Rachel Wirth and Sharon Wirth, both of Albuquerque; Esther Kopf and husband, Dana Kopf of Durango, CO; and adopted granddaughter, Tammy Jones of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Carli L. Tarbox of Albuquerque and Elsa Kopf of Durango, CO; and pampered cats, Stevie, Poncho and Tish. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josephine V. Rodgers. His lifelong ministry touched many lives inside and outside the church. Everyone was Freddie's friend. Services will be held at Chester T. STONE -- Charles Ray Stone, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on February 23, 2004. He was born on September 21, 1926 to Charlie D. and Gladys Ford Stone in Ranger, Texas. Ray was proud to have served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked for over 30 years at the Public Service Co. of New Mexico as a Journeyman meter-man where he earned the nickname Pebbles. Ray was an avid photographer, loved walking and enjoyed being in the mountains. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of over 58 years, Betty of Rio Rancho; his four children, Glenn Charles Stone and wife, Dottie Brockman of Peralta, Carolyn Ann Stone, Gloria Jean Rawlings and husband, Stan of Albuquerque, Daniel James Stone and wife, Janyce of Albuquerque; brothers, James N. Stone and wife, Jenny of CA, Donald Stone and wife, Eileen of Peralta; sister, Mildred Breeden and husband, Everett of Peralta; his grandchildren, Larry, Leanne, Jessie, Chad, Ryan, Carey, and Kyle; his eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of beloved friends and loved ones. TRUJILLO -- Cordelia R. Trujillo, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully after a long illness, with her loving family by her side on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at age 83. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Trujillo Sr.; sons, Eremito, Porfirio Jr., and Johnny Trujillo; and daughter, Laura Limon Gallegos. She is survived by her children, Lydia Paiz and husband, Andy, Cirila Leal and husband, Richard, Gilbert Trujillo and wife, Ellie, Kathy Trujillo, and Chris Trujillo and wife, Irene; special friend, Santiago Perdomo; and many nieces, nephews and close dear friends. Cordelia was a member of the Catholic Church and active in Holy Family Sacred Heart League and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #2251.
