BRADFORD -- Clyde Bradford, 80, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away September 11, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Bradford of the family home; daughters, Kathy Williams, Karen Holmes, Marie Bradford, Lisa Becknell; sons, David Bradford, Ray Bradford, Chester Bradford, John Bradford, Gary Bradford, Kenneth Bradford, Clyde Bradford III. He was proceeded in deathy by his parents, and son Randolph Bradford. Everyone that had the pleasure to know him loved him and will miss him very much. A wake service will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2003, 6:00 p.m. at 824 San Mateo NE, Resurrected Ministry. GARCIA -- Claudio Garcia died Saturday September 13, 2003 at the age of 86. He was born in Rainsville NM on June 9, 1917 to Fidel and Juanita Garcia. Claudio worked as a traffic engineer with Parking Metor Tec in Albuquerque. He served in WWII. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and first wife Lila Garcia. Claudio is survived by his loving wife Emelicia, sons Michael, Raymond and wife Margaret, Bengie and wife Marcie, Mike Baca and his wife Rose, Steve Baca, David Baca and Fianc' Ebine Lucero. His daughters Berna and husband Alvaro Olguin, Gloria and husband Fernando Villa, Yolanda and husband Michael Sikinger, Rosemarie and husband Robert Triana, as well as 23 grand children, 25 great grandchildren, and 75 nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Antonio Sedillo Richard Baca, Juan Dwenes, Michael Sikinger, Patrick Traina, and Chris Baca. Honoraries are Joe Keller, Rob Carbello, Lawrence Sedillo and Jay Swanson. GOENS -- David (Dave) W. Goens MISSOULA - Dave W. Goens, 61, of Missoula, passed away of natural causes Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003. He was born March 5, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dale and Margaret Goens. In August of 1949, the family moved to Cedar Crest, NM on Albuquerque's mountainous east side. Dave was in Sandia High School second graduating class. After high school Dave attended UNM for his Freshman and Sophomore years of college. Summer jobs were in the Laramie, Wyoming area working in a lumber camp and the Forrest Service his last year. While working in Wyoming, Dave met the love of his life, Donna. Dave joined the Air Force in 1962, Dave and Donna were married in April 1963 in Laramie, Wyo. Two lovely daughters were born of this marriage. He attended the University of Oklahoma while in the Air Force, graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree Dave was a Vietnam Veteran, earning the Bronze Star, For Meritorious Service for the period of April 25, 1969 to April 23, 1970. He continued his active service through 1971. After his service in the military, Dave went to work for the National Weather Service and was also involved with the National Fire Weather Program. Dave returned to the military, joining the Air Force National Guard while working for the weather service he later retired from the Guard with the rank of captain. While employed with the National Weather Service, he was instrumental in leading the National Weather Service and Western Region into modernization of the fire weather program. While he was in the NWS he attended the University of Montana, receiving his master's degree in Forestry in 1979. He retired in 2000 as station manager of the Missoula office. He served as a deacon of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. He was an avid fisherman and met regularly with fellow retirees to plan trips. He loved to hunt and hike with his wife. Dave was a loving, devoted husband, a wonderful father and the best Papa a grandchild could hope for. He is survived by his adoring wife of 40 years, Donna of Missoula; daughter, Deidre and husband Richard Stuber and their children, Amanda and Tyler of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Robin and husband Dave Schreider and their children, Jeff and Lauren of Austin, Texas; parents, Dale and Margaret; sister, Linda and her husband Rob Nezzer; of Cedar Crest NM and brother, Jerry and wife Susan, Albuquerque, NM. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the Trinity Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the building fund at Trinity Baptist Church, 3020 South Avenue West, Missoula, Montana 59804 Arrangements were under the direction of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory, Missoula.

OWINGS -- William H. (Pappy) Owings, age 97, an Albuquerque resident for 53 years, died September 11, 2003. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Margaret E. Owings, and a daughter, Gale Owings, both of Albuquerque: nephew Robert Rood and family of CO. Pappy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He retired from Mt. Bell in 1971 after 49 years of service. He was a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America. He was also a member of the Moberly Lodge # 344 A.F. & A.M. in Missouri for 62 years. He worked at the photo duplication center in Zimmerman Library for 15 years. On February 23, 2000 Mayor Jim Baca presented Pappy with a lifetime pass for any of the city golf courses, and the staff of Puerto Del Sol put up a sign in front of their best parking place that reads ? Reserved - don?t even think about parking in Paddy?s place ? as well as a key to a golf cart that he could use at any time. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at 2:00 P.M., in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd. SE with Pastor Tom Beach of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. The family requests that donations be made to the Rio Grande Zoo c/o of the New Mexico Zoological Society to help feed the polar bears. PICHES -- Mary N. Piches, 65, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Wednesday, September 10, 2003. She is survived by her son, George C. Piches and wife, Stella of Albuquerque; mother, Voula N. Pappas of Albuquerque; sisters, Helen Logothetis and husband, Costa of Albuquerque and Antoinette Pappas of Rosemond, CA; brothers, George Nick Pappas and wife, Katherine and Dean Nick Pappas and wife, Helenanne, all of Albuquerque; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Chris S. Piches. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Mary was past president of the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed painting and knitting and had sung in the St. George Choir. Mary was the matriarch of the Piches and the Pappas families. Trisagion will be held Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High Street SE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating.
