Carrillo -- Mary (Lollie) Turrieta/Carrillo, 54, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away early Monday June 23, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lollie was well loved by the Barelas community, especially by owners and friends, Benita and Michael; co-workers and patrons of the Barelas Coffee house where she worked for more than 20 years as a beloved, and well known waitress. Lollie was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Turrieta; sister, Elaine; and niece, Desiree. She is survived by her daughters, Frances and husband, Leonard children, Leonard Jr., Lorenzo, and Monique; Stephanie and husband, Alex, children, Matthew and Joshua; Denise and children, Angelo, Fernando, Dominic, Marcos and Denae; and son, Jesse and wife, Megan children, Destiny and Savannah. Also survived by her mother, Alice and stepfather, Charlie Cadena; brothers, Pete and Joe; sisters, Nadine and Charlotte; and beloved husband, Francisco Carrillo. Davenport -- Mr. Billy Joe Davenport, 74, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 23, 2003. Mr. Davenport is survived by his children, Rick Joe Davenport, Tanya Marie Moraga, Frank Paul Davenport and wife, Carrie, Veronica Lynn Gonzales and husband, Robert, Rebecca Jo Gallegos and husband Allen, Jacquita Ann Baca, Marty Davenport, Michelle Yanez and husband, Steve, Linda, Brenda and Billy Joe Jr. of Eureka, CA; five sisters, Anna Lou King, Laura Sue Lucas, Mayola Anderson and husband, Rocky, Bonnie Jean Stroup and Dorla Dean Lutz; two brothers, William Franklin Davenport Jr. and wife, Lola, Pastor James Steven Davenport and wife, Linda; 32 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Davenport is preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Marie Davenport; a son, Mitchell Davenport; a brother, Emanuel Leon Davenport and a sister, Mary Ellen Stephens. Mr. Davenport is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict, a member of the Local Carpenters Union for many years, he loved his entire family and will be missed by all. Griego -- Mr. Andy Griego, 55, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 20, 2003. Mr. Griego is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Mickey Griego; two daughters, Pamela Gurule and husband, Carlos, and Jennie Griego; one son, Andrew J. Ortiz -- Juan L. Ortiz, age 72, a resident of El Pino, New Mexico and former resident of Pecos, New Mexico passed away on Monday, June 23, 2003 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born in Pecos, New Mexico on March 30, 1931 to the late Celestino Ortiz and Cleofas Lujan Ortiz. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a Private l(P). He was awarded the Korean Service Medal w/2 bronze service stars and the UN Service Medal. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Celestino and Cleofas Ortiz; Wife: Maria Candida Ortiz. He is survived by his Brother: Mariano Ortiz and wife Clora of Pecos, NM; Sisters: Priscilla Lopez and husband Antonio of Pecos, NM and Silveria Martinez and husband Eugenio of Albuquerque, NM; Aunt: Lourdes L. Roybal of Lakewood, California; Cousins: Jane Lujan and husband Joe"Lucas" of Las Vegas, NM; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robinson -- Ada Sorrells Robinson died June 14, 2003 at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Born August 13, 1921, in Roswell, NM, Ada was the daughter of pioneer ranchers Henry Clay Sorrells and Versa Stephens Sorrells. She graduated from Roswell High School in 1937 and attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. During the late 1950s, she and her family lived in Madrid, Spain, where her husband, Walter C. Robinson was attached to the Civilian Personnel Department at Torrejon Air Force Base. Ada worked as a kindergarten teacher during the early years at St. Andrews Episcopal Church School. She was also a counselor at the Assurance Home in Roswell for 15 years. Ada was a community volunteer throughout her life most recently for the Roswell Literacy Council. She was a member of the Roswell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, P.E.O. Chapter B, and St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Ada is survived by four children, Whitney Blair and her husband, the Rev. F.S. Blair, of Richmond, VA, Kelly Robinson and her husband, the Rev. Herb Robbins of Artesia, Mrs. Lane Leadingham of Ruidoso, and Dr. Christopher Robinson and his wife, Pam of Ruidoso, NM; as well as ten grandchildren. The additional survivor is her sister, June Sorrels Blair and her husband, E. Frank Blair, Jr., of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Walter Robinson; and her nephew, Stephen F. Blair. Graveside Services were held at the family plot in South Park Cemetery in Roswell with the Rev. Bob Williams of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church officiating. Memorials may be made to the Assurance Home, 1000 E. 18th, Roswell, NM 88201; the scholarship fund of P.E.O., 317 Sherrill Lane No. 14, Roswell, NM; or a charity of your choice. Sperry -- Della Sperry, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Sunday, June 22, 2003. She was the daughter of Della Paola and Herman A. Guetzkow and was born June 20, 1911 in Milwaukee, WI. The family moved to Newton, IA when Della was three or four years old and she was educated in the Newton schools, graduating from Newton High School. She was married to William D. Sperry, December 23, 1935 in Newton at the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Sperry was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 49 years, Lt. Col. William D. Sperry in October 28, 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Karen S. McLaren and husband, Lee of Albuquerque; two grandsons, William David Camp and wife, Patty of Radcliff, KY and Carter D.V. Camp of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Joshua David Camp and Virginia Ann Camp; and niece, JoAnne Steinberger of Newton, IA. Mrs. Sperry was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church for 43 years where she was active with United Methodist Women, a member of Naomi Circle and served as President of Jolly Elders. She was also a member of Albuquerque TROA, ROWC and the Military Widows Association; as well as being an active Bridge player. Zimmerman -- Suzanne Zimmerman nee Keenan, formerly of Wayland, New York, died June 20, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. Her oldest daughter, Susan Alice Kretsch nee Zimmerman preceded her in death. Suzanne is survived by her husband, Harold Jacob Zimmerman, of 47 years; three daughters, Stephanie J. LeMay, Rebekah K. Alexander-Adams and Jay Adams, Frances F. Zimmerman and Kay Schreck; sons-in-law, Willard Kretsch, James LeMay, and Russell Alexander. Suzanne is also survived by three grandsons; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; sister, Alice Young; brother, David Keenan; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces; and many dear friends. Suzanne was known for her generous heart. She opened her house and arms to those in need of shelter and food, humans and animals alike. She will be remembered not only for her generosity, but also for her companionship, her excellent cooking, and artistic abilities.
