Anaya -- Candida Anaya died Thursday, May 15, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 92. She is survived by her son, Transito Anaya; daughters, Frances Anaya, Angie Anaya, and Dolores Romero; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Ms. Anaya will be held on Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Anaya, Randy Anaya, Dominic Anaya, Freddy Chavez, Rudy Barranca, and Joseph Anaya. Honorary pallbearers will be Moises Moya and Ray Anaya Jr. A Rosary for Ms. Anaya will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Church. Boyden -- Jean W. Boyden, age 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, died May 12, 2003. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Boyden of Albuquerque; daughter, Betty J. Campbell of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Nathan L. Lambert of Williams, AZ; nephew, Jim Wesson of Gloucester, VA; niece, Diane Morgan of Lynchburg, VA; step-grandchildren, Eric Campbell of Albuquerque and Rob Campbell and wife April of Albuquerque, and step-great grandchildren, Dillon and Dayton. Brown -- Laurian L. Brown, 81 of Rio Communities died on Friday, May 16, 2003 after a prolonged illness at an Albuquerque hospice. She was a member of the Eastern Star and active in politics with the Republican Party. Born in Morris, Ill., she attended school there and went on to marry Claude Wayne Brown in 1945. They lived in Illinois until their retirement in 1974, when they moved to Rio Communities. She had been a member of the Land of Lincoln Club and the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed archeological digs with Dr. Frank Hibbon of the University of New Mexico and rock collecting. She loved the state of New Mexico; the couple had a travel trailer and drove just about every road in the state. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy L. and Lina Lyon, and a son, Arthur. She is survived by her husband, Claude of the family home; her children, Bruce W. Brown and wife, Laura, of Loveland, CO and Laurian L. Ott of Placitas and her fiance, Paul Jaramillo; her grandchildren, Alyssa Heth, Rachel Brown and Christian Brown, all of Loveland, CO; and her siblings, Robert L. Lyon and wife, Doris, of Payson, AZ, Alice Kulig of Morris, Ill and Donald L.Lyon and wife, Jean of Morris, Ill. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at First Presbyterial Church of Belen. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the hospice unit at Anna Kaseman Hospital in Albuquerque.

Clarke -- John Joseph"Jack" Clarke, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 8, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Lopez and husband, Ken; son, Adam Clarke and wife, Trisha, all of Albuquerque; and daughter, Dee Dee Pautler and husband of Fredericksburg, VA. He was born on July 7, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Jack was an accomplished musician and played drums with his mentor, Kenny Vernon. He also played drums with Roger Miller, and Nestor Eaton and The Swamproots. He brought laughter into many lives and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Crews -- Lloyd V. Crews, 82, resident of Albuquerque since 1942, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Schmitt Crews; son, Lloyd Michael Crews of Farmington; daughter, Vicki Zinn of Albuquerque; grandsons, Steven, Nicholas, Michael Jason; granddaughters, Shiela and Michele; six great- grandchildren; and numerous loving relatives and friends. Mr. Crews was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Pearl Crews; three brothers; and three sisters. A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Albuquerque, 30-year employee of Mountain Bell Telephone of Albuquerque, he retired in June of 1982. Lloyd was a World War II Army Veteran, European Theatre, Patton s 3rd Army, 26th Infantry of the Famed Yankee Division at the Battle of the Bulge and served through VE Day to the occupation until January 1946. He was a recipient of The Bronze Star, for bravery above and beyond the call of duty. Lloyd stood 5'18" he was a"large" fan of country music. Lloyd was a volkswagon enthusiast. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Roedell Schmitt officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Jaramillo -- Mrs. Lita Jaramillo, 89, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 12, 2003. Mrs. Jaramillo is survived by two sons, Steven Jaramillo and wife, Liz, Charlie Jaramillo and wife, Mary Ellen; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ester Duran and husband, Frank, Lupe Miller and husband, Robert; one brother, Alvino Padilla and wife, Delia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Jaramillo was preceded in death by her husband, Juan F. Jaramillo; and two sons, Benny and Roger. Mrs. Jaramillo was a member of the Catholic Church. Leopold -- Pauline B. Leopold was born on August 13, 2003 in Beaty, Arkansas. She moved toAlbuquerque in 1935 where she was a well-known seamstress with an unlimited knowledge of fabrics and women's fashions. She worked at Globe/Taylor, Townhouse and Carlynns. Pauline was preceded in death by her only child, Margaret Lou Wetzel. She was also preceded in death in 1999 by her husband, John Leopold who was a manager with Continental Airlines and a prominent Mason. Pauline's only survivors are one niece, Una Mae Bar and husband, Robert; and one nephew, Eddie Roark of Tulsa, OK; and dear friends, Emma Lemmons and Mary Jane Major. Pauline was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party and First Presbyterian Church. Services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2003, at 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. Macwillie -- Donald MacGlashan MacWillie, Col. U.S. Army, retired, age 94, a longtime resident of Albuquerque died May 12, 2003. Survivors include daughters, Nanci M. George of Albuquerque, Virginia M. Brandolino of Los Angeles, CA; sons, Col. Stephen S. MacWillie of Enterprise, AL, Col. Donald M. MacWillie, Jr. of Kileen, TX; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Saxton) MacWillie. Col. MacWillie belonged to the Squadron A. Calvary, the New Mexico Hunter Jumpers Assoc, St. Andrews Society, the National Genealogy Society and the New Mexico Dressage Society. Martin -- Kay Kipp Martin, 71, a native New Mexican and lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003. She was born July 23, 1931, at the Women s and Children s Hospital in Albuquerque. Kay attended Eugene Field Elementary, Lincoln Junior High and Albuquerque High, where she graduated in 1949. After graduation, she worked for Continental Oil and ACF. Kay went to TVI in 1975, where she earned her L.P.N License. She worked at Anna Kaseman as a Psychiatric Nurse until she retired in 1988. Kay loved to travel. In 2000, she finally made it around the world. Kay is survived by her husband, Randall Martin; son, Kip Kendrick and his wife, Jan; two grandsons, John and James; two sisters, Gloria Rice and Shirley Selva; numerous nephews and nieces; and her loving Maltese, Tasha. Mascarenas -- Henry David Mascarenas, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1967, died Thursday, May 15, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Isabel Mascarenas; daughters, Virginia Hundley and Loretta Benavidez and husband, Joe, all of Albuquerque and Ruby Vallejos and husband, Bowen, of Aztec, NM; son, Bryant Mascarenas, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Heather, Bobby, Alex, Bonifacio and Dominique and great grandchildren, Sylvia, Diona, Symphany, Jonah, Zachary, Isaiah, Lybertee and Dominico. Mr. Mascarenas retired after serving 22 years in the U.S. Air Force having tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, camping and working on cars. Mccoy -- Francis W. (Frank) McCoy, age 88, died May 12, 2003 after a short illness. He was born in Richmond, Virginia but called Albuquerque home since 1948. He loved fishing the streams of Northern New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Scott McCoy. He is survived by son, Scott McCoy and wife, Jeanne of Mississippi; son, Terence McCoy and wife, Judy Hecker of New York; daughter, Sarah Bradley and husband, Tom Clark of Albuquerque; and grandson, Danny McCoy of Albuquerque. A private family Memorial Service will be held in late June. If desired, donations may be made in his memory to Animal Human Association of New Mexico, Inc. or the Albuquerque Rescue Mission.

Mulholland -- Mary Ellen Mulholland died May 15, 2003 at the age of 84. She was born on September 17, 1918 in Pennsylvania. Paulson -- Gwendolyn"Gwen" Paulson, age 71, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2003. She was born November 23, 1931, in Heartwell, Nebraska. Gwen moved to Los Alamos, NM in 1954, with her husband, Lloyd. She worked at Piggly Wiggly and Safeway stores as a cashier. She suffered the last years of her life, but is now at peace. Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Doris Torske; her husband of 40 years, Lloyd Paulson; and her son, Gregg. She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Heinlein and husband, Steve, and Nancy G. Martinez; son, David L. Paulson and wife, Debbie; five sisters; five brothers; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many friends. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Vitt -- William Vitt, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Ellen; his son, Jonathan; daughter, Cynthia Nellos and partner, Joe Boehning, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Melissa Castle and husband, George of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandsons, restaurateur Nicholas B. Nellos and wife, Devon of Albuquerque; Dr. Steven Castle and wife, Trina of Provo, UT; Lt. Christopher Castle and wife, Rochelle of CA; and granddaughters, Sarah Knight and husband, Ron of Columbus, MS; and Emily Mullenaux and husband, Cody of Flagstaff, AZ. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mrs. G.E. Vitt of Alexandria, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Worrall -- John David Worrall, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, May 15, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Worrall; daughters, Sandra O Neal of Albuquerque and Sheryl Weaver and husband, Max of Silverton, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Weaver of Coppell, TX and Julie Weaver of Austin, TX; and sister, Joyce Russell of Jeffersonville, IN. Mr. Worrall was a pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was also a draftsman and later worked for the F.A.A. as Chief of Chicago Midway Tower and New York Idlewild (JFK) Tower. He then worked as an evaluator for the Southwest Region FAA and retired as Chief of the Lubbock Tower. Zedalis -- In Loving Memory Of Carmelita Ann ZedalisCarmelita was born on March 28, 1926, in Freeland, Pennsylvania, and passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 after a brief illness. A resident of Albuquerque since 1986, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Zedalis, a WWII veteran; her parents, Raymond and Louise Giao; and two brothers, Ray and Tony. Carmelita is survived by her two daughters, Julianne and Cynthia; son, Gary; six grandchildren, Eric, Kelly, Patrick, Atticus, Rory, and Cole; sister, Louise; daughter-in-law, Lupita; son-in-law, Jeff; her beloved friend, Roy; and other friends and relatives.
