Turner -- Gloria B. ("Cubby") Turner January 3, 1945-April 25, 2002You left us in the warmth of a spring day, But it was the coldest day of our lives. The warmth from your embrace, The sweetness of your gaze, The soft words that drifted from your lips, The laughter that you brought us Is goneWe lost apart of ourselves the day you left us. You took a piece of our souls and a chunk of Our hearts. The emptiness has faded over time. The sorrow has lessened. But our hearts will never heal.Sometimes we hear you in the silence, Sometimes we see you in our dreams, And out of the corners of our eyesSometimes we talk to you in silent whispers Praying for an answer And reaching out for your handAs days go on, we miss you more and more However, we are assured that you have made A place For us with you in Heaven,And we know that you watch us In every day life and protect us from The evils that we may face and The obstacles that we may go through. We know you are looking down on usWe just wish you were here. Even if it were only one more day, to warm Us on the cold day that you left us behind. We love you, Cubby. You are forever in our hearts.
