Benavidez -- Remigio G."Willie" Williams Benavidez, also known as"The Brown Knight and Pancho Claus", 69, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Ramona Tenorio and husband David, Lorrie Apodaca and Agnes Benavidez; grandchildren, Eugene Tenorio and Deshawn Clifton, Marissa Tenorio, Amanda Apodaca, Stephanie Apodaca and Audrey Benavidez; great-grandchildren, Reannen and Zariah Tenorio and Jorell Phillips; sisters, Ruby Orozco, Viola Maestas and husband Jimmy, and Lucille Vallejos; brother, Alfred Benavidez; brother-in-law, Pete Gomez; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dalia M. Benavidez; his parents, Bernabe and Emma Benavidez; brother, James Benavidez; sister, Mabel Gomez; and niece, Donna Lynn. Willie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus and he enjoyed participating in their activities and involved in other community activities. Campbell -- Lumis"LM" Campbell, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Monday, April 21, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Debra K. Carrillo -- Nora was born in Clayton, New Mexico in 1915. She passed away quietly on Good Friday evening, April 18, 2003, at her home in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip N. Carrillo, Sr. and her oldest son Phillip N. Carrillo, Jr.; a sister, Lena Montoya and a brother Johnny Wolford; two half-sisters, Bertha Simpson and Stella Trip. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara J. Marino of Santa Fe, NM and a son, Fred J. Carrillo of Yorba Linda, CA; four granddaughters, five grandsons, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; several cousins; and friends. Nora was a homemaker. Her hobbies were plants, reading, listening to music, sewing, cooking and shopping. Nora was a member of Saint John The Baptist Catholic Church in Santa Fe. A rosary will be recited Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Churgin -- Sol Churgin, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 19, 2003. Survivors include his daughters, Tina Lewis and Lee Churgin both of Albuquerque. Sol was born in Russia and moved to the United States in 1917 to Omaha, Nebraska and later moving to the Albuquerque area in March 2000. He loved baseball, playing cards at the Senior Center and working in his garden. Cusumano -- Viola"Vicky" M. Cusumano, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years, died Saturday, April 12, 2003. She is survived by her cousin, Barbara K. Levene of England; and mother, Violet Hill of Staten Island, NY. Mrs. Cusumano was preceded in death by her husband, Emeric Cusumano. She was a member of the First Unitarian Church. Mrs. Cusumano enjoyed animals, astronomy, reading and knitting. Dean -- Robin C. Dean was born August 22, 1938 in Venus, Texas and passed away April 16, 2003 in Albuquerque. She was a generous, giving, sweet woman, a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Robin is survived by son, Randy and wife, Barbara Dean of Gilbert, Arizona; daughter, Melissa Grant of Albuquerque; brother, Steven Mitchell of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Stephan, Jason and Travis of Arizona; Mitchell, Rilee and Blaine of Albuquerque. Her mother, Robin Mitchell; sister, Linda Mitchell; and son, Tony Dean, precedes her in death. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Eul -- Christine A. Eul, age 51, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2003 after her valiant struggle with cancer. Chris is survived by Garry, her loving husband of 28 years; son, Kevin and daughter-in-law, Andrea; three granddaughters, Christine, Camie Sue and Chelsea of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; mother Virginia Chapel of Tucson, Arizona; brothers, Thomas and Richard Chapel of Marshfield, Wisconsin; and special friend, Lois Hanson of Phoenix, Arizona. Chris worked in the computer field at Christy Construction and Honeywell for many years and leaves behind many friends and former fellow employees who will miss her warmth and humor terribly. A Memorial Service for Chris will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1771 Rio Rancho Blvd. SE across from Intel (in the Sandia Ballroom). Foy -- Irving L. Foy, 94, passed away April 20, 2003. Irving was one of Vaudeville's famed"Seven Little Foys". With his parents, brothers and sisters, Irving was a part of Vaudeville's Golden Age, crisscrossing the country from 1912 to 1928 and playing in theatres from Los Angeles' Orpheum to New York's Palace. The life and often amusing times of the singing and dancing Foys was filmed as"The Seven Little Foys" in 1955 with Bob Hope as Eddie Foy Sr. The father died in 1928 but four of the children, including Irving, continued the act until the mid 1930's. In the 1940's Irving worked for the Interstate Theatre Chain, managing movie theatres in Dallas and the Sunshine, Kimo and Lobo Theatres in Albuquerque. He and his family moved to Taos in 1952 where he was the manager of the Kit Carson Drive-in movie theatre and later the proprietor of Foy's Ice Cream Palor. In 1958 he moved to Albuquerque where he worked as maitre'd at the Roaring 20's Supper Club, bartender at the Copper Bull and bartender at Enrico's. He was married to Sylvia J. Leese Foy until her death in 1983. He is survived by his son, Frank and wife, Suzanne of Albuquerque; son, Dick of Aurora, CO; son, Patrick and wife, Rennae of San Jose, NM; and son, Chris of Farmington; grandchildren, Erin Stewart, Kelly Foy, Mary Parker and Ryan Foy; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Stewart; nephew, Eddie Foy, III; and niece, Madeline O'Donnell. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2003 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE with Fr. Glanz -- John Henry Glanz, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1999, went to be with Jesus on April 20, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Helen Glanz of Albuquerque; daughter, Sharon Scott of Renton, WA; son, Michael John Glanz and wife, Sandee of Bothel, WA; daughter, Jan D. Atencio and husband, Paul of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Kristen Pavlik and husband, John, Erik Scott, Deborah Dickson and husband, Tim, Dawn Hytry and husband, Dan, Tara Glanz, Alyssa Downey and husband, Jeff, Christopher and Autumn Atencio; sister, Betty Hamilton of Portland, OR and brother, Ken Glanz and wife, Jean of Tigard, OR. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, June Renish and Daphne Wiegand and infant brother, John Conrad Glanz. John was a Veteran of WWII, US Navy, serving on several ships. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1325 in Portland, Oregon and was a member of the Portland Eagles. John worked for Multnomah County Taxation Department for about 17 years. He served as Chairman of the Milwaukie, Oregon Boy Scouts of America in the past. John was a former resident of Oak Grove, Oregon. He loved and enjoyed his grandkids, going for coffee and doughnuts and loved to dance the polka. Service will take place on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 900 Southern SE, Rio Rancho with Pastor Tom Lambelet, officiating. Jones -- Louise Andrews Jones, 85, longtime Albuquerque resident and wife of the late Colonel David R. Jones (1918-1992), died in Lovelace Hospice on April 14, 2003. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Anne Jones (1950-1999). She is survived by daughter, Susan Elizabeth Jones of Albuquerque; son, David Reese Jones IV, his wife, Sue Ann Luna Jones; and grandchildren, Samuel David Jones and Reagan Lee Jones of Tampa, Florida. Mary Louise Andrews was born July 14, 1917, in Samson, Alabama, and grew up in Bonifay, Florida. She began her 49-year marriage to Dave in 1942 after meeting him at a wartime Valentine dance in Pensacola. She had a long career as an executive secretary and worked at the Pentagon in the 1960s while raising three children and hosting events as an Air Force officer's wife. Louise was a talented artist, loved the outdoors and enjoyed exploring the rich history of New Mexico and Colorado. She volunteered as a docent at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and was an avid bird watcher, flower gardener and horsewoman. She served as president of the Arabian Horse Association of New Mexico and on the vestry of Saint Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church. She will be especially missed by the exceptional and loving staff of the Haven Care Dogwood House. Kobes -- Mabel A. Kobes, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2003. Mabel was born on October 1, 1908 in Thief River Falls, MN. As matriarch of a family with diverse interests, she encouraged excellence in personal and professional endeavors. She will be greatly missed. Rogers -- Effie Lee Rogers, 74, a resident of Albuquerque for the past six years, and coming from northern California, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2003. Effie was born July 24, 1928 the daughter of Lee Ernest and Minnie Rossetta Deloney Williamson in Tom, Oklahoma. She had been a cook in the fast food business in California for 45 years before retiring. Effie was a member of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She loved fishing, quilting, crafts, painting, enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and best of all, spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Effie was preceded in death by her husband, Will H. Rogers in 1992 and one daughter, Arnell Rogers in 1991. She is survived bythree daughters, Ada V. Walker of Rio Rancho, NM, Willie V. Combs of Oklahoma City, OK, and Velma D. Simpson of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, John Calvin Williamson of Oklahoma City, OK; eleven grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. The Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2003 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapelof Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2003 at 11:00 a.m.at the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 8550 Saul Bell Rd. NW, Albuquerque, with Pastor Dennis G. Dunn officiating. Romo -- Erlinda S. Romo, 85, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on April 18, 2003, surrounded by family and friends. Erlinda was born June 13, 1917 in Cerro, NM. She was a longtime member of Tijeras Senior Community Center and enjoyed gardening. She was also a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Erlinda was preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Romo; and by her parents, Guillermo and Lucinda Romo. She is survived by daughters, Marcella Garcia and husband, Larry and Patricia Neis and husband, Brian all of Albuquerque, NM and Olivia Vozza and husband, Tony of Littleferry, NJ; sons, Amos Romo and Fred Romo both of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Rose Ortiz of Henderson, NV, Lydia Serda and Alice Garcia both of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Ben Santisteven of Cerro, NM; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Sanchez -- Ramon Sanchez, 93, a rancher and resident of Pastura, NM passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2003 in Albuquerque. He was born March 31, 1910 in Anton Chico, NM to Pedro Jose and Aurelia Lucero Sanchez. Ramon is survived by his loving wife, Rose T. Sanchez; one sister, Petronila S. Marquez of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Miguel Sanchez and Jose Fabian Sanchez; and two sisters, Maria Sanchez and Vicenta S. Martinez. Sines -- Donald Edward Sines was born February 15, 1922 in Canaan, WV, son of Lloyd Edward Sines and Emma Caroline Smith. Attended schools in Clarksburg, WV, and in Geneva, OH. Joined the US Navy in April 1941, and completed six years of service in April 1947, as Chief, E7. Became an employee of Vought A/C Co, Dallas, TX, in 1950 and soon became a Technical Representative for the Field Service Dept. for 33 years, traveling extensively in that capacity. During such time, he submitted ideas for different, unique, and unusual techniques, and the company received patents for many. After retiring from then Ling-Temco-Vought, he became a Federal Government employee. For the next ten years he was the Maintenance Supervisor for the Naval Weapons Evaluation Facility, Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque. He retired February 1993. Of his family still living are one brother, Jerome Sines of Florida; and one sister, Vesta Miller of Ohio; four nieces; and two nephews. He married Geneal Horton in August, 1957, who joined him in his travels back and forth across the U.S., Hawaii and Atsugi, Japan. They had no children. As his wife states: He was an energetic and vibrant person who was ready to help friends and family, civic affairs, etc., in any possible way. Swall -- Billie Royal Swall, a resident of Albuquerque for 46 years, died on Sunday, April 13, 2003. She was born in Philipsburg, MT, on November 20, 1916 to William Watt Royal and Anna Christina Ley Royal. After attending Drummond High School, she went on to Montana Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and graduated with an RN in 1938. She and Jack Ralph Swall were married in 1940 in Great Falls, MT. Before divorcing, they had two children, Heather who died in 1993 and Judith. Billie is survived by two granddaughters and their husbands, Sara Christine Vogel and Sean Vogel and Katherine Royal Webb and Mathew Webb; her triplet great-granddaughters, Hannah Rose, Layna Royal, and Anica Taylor Webb survive her, too. Since they were born on April 17, 2003, they did not get to meet their great-grandmother. Also surviving are her sisters, Dorothy Royal Betts and Helen Royal Kanan, both of Albuquerque and two nephews, William Royal Betts and John Owen Betts. Billie was a nurse for several Albuquerque doctors including Wilkinson, Simms and Floyd and Burris and Cornish. Billie will be remembered by all who knew her as a very strong woman who survived many losses and illnesses. She recalled taking a train by herself to Missoula when she was only 17 to have an appendectomy. She was a aring person and a good friend to many. A member of Central Methodist Church for over 40 years, her Memorial Service will be held there at 3:00 oclock p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2003 In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Enlace or to a program which assists homeless families.

Vigil -- Bennie Vigil, born December 25, 1921, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Ricardita (Rita) Jinzo Vigil, whom he married on October 8, 1962; five sons; four daughters; three brothers; and one sister. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and nephews and nieces. Bennie was a veteran of the U.S. Army and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post 69, as well as the Disabled American Veterans. Rosary will be recited Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 7:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4th Street & Alameda NW.
