Beers -- Geraldine"Jerry" Beers, age 72, of Santa Fe, NM, died on Wednesday, February 12, 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ida Ovind; brother, Kenneth Ovind; and sister, Doris Arnold. Jerry was born November 29, 1930 in North Dakota to Clarence and Ida Ovind. She married Don Beers on May 19, 1952 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mrs. Beers retired from the State Government in 1989. She was employed by various State agencies including the Tourist Department and Gov. Jack Campbell, Attorney General David Norvell and State Auditors Albert Romero and Haroll Adams. She also was employed by the House of Representatives for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Don Beers; daughter, Lori Beers-Ashoo and husband, Luay; step-son, Ronald Beers; grandchildren, Amanda, Kirsten and Ryan Ashoo and Bonnie, Nicole and Shayne Beers. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association, 216 Trumen N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87108. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John United Methodist Church. Brown -- Cleo Duffield Brown, born on January 5, 1911 in Robinson, IL, daughter of Homer and Dora Smith Duffield, died Friday, January 31, 2003 in Albuquerque. She came to Erie, PA in 1916 with her grandmother. She was educated in the Erie public schools and graduated from Central High School in 1929. She graduated from Allegheny College in 1933 and worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance in Erie from 1934 to 1940. Cleo married Attorney Roger M. Brown on April 20, 1940 and they moved to Corry, PA in 1941. Roger died in November of 1964. Mrs. Brown taught at Corry Area High School from 1962 to 1973. She retired in 1973 and moved to Erie in 1979. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Erie, as well as the A.A.U.W. Her two sons, Ronald and his wife, JoAnn from Albuquerque and Gregory and his wife, Judy from Boise, ID, survive Cleo. She has two grandsons and one granddaughter, two step-sons and one step daughter. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 21, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at the First Methodist Church of Erie, 707 Sassafras St, Erie, PA. Coyle -- Marcy Coyle went to be with her Lord on February 10, 2003, after a long battle with Lupus disease. Marcy was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. She was always generous to others and quick to go above and beyond to help anyone who needed her support. She had a great love of life and tenacity on the job which finally brought her to the top, after many long years of obstacles. Anyone who knew Marcy knew she had a love of Dodge trucks, and took first place in a local truck show in Albuquerque. She was quite proud because she built this truck herself. She is survived by her loving mother, Harriet Jean Coyle, and devoted sister, Linda S. Coyle, dear brothers, Greg and Lance Coyle and their families, and many caring relatives in New York, Indiana and Washington. She leaves behind many loving and caring friends, as well. Marcy was born to John J. and Harriet Jean Coyle on August 18, 1958. She is a 1976 graduate of El Dorado High School and went on to serve over 15 years at the Federal Aviation Administration in Albuquerque. Garcia -- Mr. Alfonso (Sito) J. Garcia died Thursday, February 13, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 58. Mr. Garcia is survived by his mother, Mary Anaya; wife, Emily Garcia, of Albuquerque; stepchildren, Evelyn Ozaeta, Ronnie Bernal, Christine Alba and husband, Abe, Larry Bernal, all of California, Gilbert Saldana, and Rose Ann De Herrera and husband, Gerald, of Albuquerque; brother, George Garcia and wife, Olivia; sister, Mary Valadez and husband, Arthur, all of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Funeral Services for Mr. Garcia will be held on Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rigo Martinez, Frank Garcia, Arthur Valadez, Orlando Lopez, Gilbert Saldana, and Bobby Lugo. Greslin -- Joan S. Greslin, 87, a resident of Albuquerque for the last 20 years, passed away Friday, February 14, 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Jorgensen and husband, Ted and Donna Barnett and husband, Jack, all of Albuquerque; son, Larry Greslin and wife, Freda of Ennis, TX; grandchildren, Lence Jorgensen and wife, Brittany, Erica Forde and husband, Brian, Paige Barnett, all of Albuquerque and Jancy Hayes and husband, Jay of Waxahachie, TX; great-grandchildren, Hanna Hayes, Taylor Hayes, both of Waxahachie, TX, Brady Forde and Grace Jorgensen, both of Albuquerque; and sisters, Mary Sullivan of Sedona, AZ and Pat Dry of Grand Junction, CO. Mrs. Greslin was preceded in death by her husband, Albino Greslin. Joan spent her younger years in Belle Fouche, SD where she met and married Al, her husband of 63 years. They lived in various mining communities due to his career before settling in Red River, NM in 1946, where he became manager of the"Moly Mine". Along with her other interests, Joan worked some years in the assay office testing for the mineral content of the ore. Joan spent many years raising her family and enjoying friends in beautiful Red River. Latini -- Mr. Fiore R. Latini, 83, born in Fabriano, Italy on October 7, 1919, passed away at home in Albuquerque, NM on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 of Alzheimer's Disease. He is survived by his wife Mildred of 56 years; his sons, Norman John and wife, Linda of San Antonio, TX and Fiore II of Albuquerque; his daughters, Teresina Arnold and husband, Rayburn of Fort Worth, TX and Ramona Biddle and husband, Anthony of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Katherine Arnold, Patricia Carranza, Courtney Heminway, William Kiscaden, Matthew Kiscaden, Paulette Latini and Amanda Latini; his great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Caleb Carranza, Olivia and Sidney Heminway; his sister-in-law, Charlotte Dutchman Bollack; and several nieces and nephews. Fiore will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a trusted friend for many people. Lucero -- Steve Benino Lucero, 44, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003. Lucero -- Tony I. Lucero, age 81, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, died on Thursday, February 13, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mercedes Cevalles and Ignacio Ortiz; step-father, Marcelino Cevalles and sister Esther Leone. Mr. Lucero was employed for Southern Union Gas Company and later with the U.S. Post Office. He was also a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lucero; brother, Mike Lucero; brother-in-law, Robert Chavez; sisters-in-law, Corine Ortiz, Mary Mignardot and Francis Galindo and husband, Roy; special nephew, Pat Patterson and wife, Susan and numerous nephews nieces, half- brothers and sisters. Mccallum -- Robert McCallum, June 29, 1911 - February 11, 2003. Robert McCallum passed away Tuesday at Mary Grecly Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Glenn McCallum. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Bruce Landesman of Salt Lake City, Utah; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Virginia McCallum of Ames, Iowa; four grandchildren, Michael and Rachel Landesman (Salt Lake City) and Kendall and Ethan McCallum (Ames); and several nieces and nephews. Robert was born on a farm outside of Guide Rock, Nebraska where he graduated from Guide Rock High School. He received a B.A. in Physics from Carleton College (Northfield, Minnesota) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska. Prior to World War II, he worked in oil exploration in the western United States and the electronics industry in California. He joined the Marine Corps in the war and served as a radar instructor. In 1943, he married Grace Roberta Glenn and the family lived in Pasadena, CA and a Fort Hood, TX before moving to Albuquerque in 1953. In Albuquerque, Robert was a member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratory until he retired. In 2001, following the death of his wife in 2000, Robert moved to the Green Hills Retirement Community in Ames, Iowa. Robert will be interred in Albuquerque next to Grace, his wife of 57 years. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Manzano del Sol in Albuquerque or to the Green Hills Retirement Community in Ames.

Salas -- Ramon A. Salas, 72, went to his heavenly Father on Friday, February 14, 2003. He was born on July 4, 1930 in Datil, NM. Ramon graduated from Magdalena High School in 1949 and was honored to have attended New Mexico's first Boys State in El Rito, NM in 1948. He proudly served his country with the US Army in the Korean Conflict from November 1950 to October 1952. He graduated from Business College in 1955 and retired from the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School in 1990 where he held positions as Director of Personnel, Director of Administrative Services, and Fiscal Officer. Ramon loved his family, children, country and particularly enjoyed gardening. He was a beloved member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic parish family. Ramon's intelligence, wit, and love made a difference to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Nabora Salas; his brother, Jose Salas; and four sisters, Ignacia Carrillo; Maria Montoya; Lita Ortega; and Petra Cordova. Ramon is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Bertha; one son, Daniel P. Salas and children, Daniel and Lindsay; his four daughters, Patti Carrasco and husband, Greg and their children, Michael, Carl, Clare, Carmela, Maria, and Matthew; Louise Melfi and husband, James and their children, Joseph, Rachel, Anna, and James; Frances Salas and her son, Dominic; Ymelda Gallegos and husband, Chris and their children, Joaquin and Carmen; as well as five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his faithful brother, Joaquin Salas. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, NM. A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2003 at 3:30pm with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Albert Gallegos officiating . Interment will follow in the Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Telles -- Albert P. Telles, 82, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; his three children, Phyllis Torres of Albuquerque; Kathleen Swisstack and husband, Tom Swisstack of Rio Rancho and Bert Telles of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Dykeman and husband, Kenny Dykeman; and James Martinez; and one great-grandson, Maximillian Telles Dykeman. Albert was born May 1, 1920 in Bent, NM, and graduated from Tularosa High School. He entered the Army Air Corps in 1942 and, during flight training in Denton, Texas, endured a plane crash just prior to earning his pilot's wings. However, he never let his injuries slow him down. After a 15-month hospital recovery, Albert began work with the Internal Revenue Service in Albuquerque and began his studies at the University of Albuquerque. He married Josephine shortly after on April 21, 1946, and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Albert worked for the Internal Revenue Service in various capacities for 34 years, retiring in 1977 as head of the Audit Division. Following his retirement, he devoted his time to his family: coaching baseball and supporting his grandchildren's sports teams and activities, practicing his handyman and landscaping skills, fishing and hunting during his leisure. Albert is remembered as a loving, respected and devoted family man, and he will be dearly missed. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd. NE. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Montoya, Sr., Eric Baca, Ben Maestas, Louie Montoya, Charlie Romero, and Bert Lovato. Williams -- Martha Williams, nee Deborah Lynn Martin, died December 30, 2002 in Woodbury, MN. Mrs. Williams, born in Santa Fe, NM November 1, 1950, was a longtime resident of Asheville, NC. She worked in risk management at Memorial Mission Hospital prior to moving to Woodbury, MN. She was a registered nurse at the Gillette Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN at the time of her death. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Harry Lee Williams of Woodbury, MN; two sons, Nathaniel Thomas Efstation of Greeley, CO and Nicholas James Efstation of Asheville, NC; daughter, Angie Efstation Stanley and husband, Scott; and grandchildren, Cooper and Rylie Stanley all of Asheville. Survivors also include mother, Bobbi West of TorC, NM; three sisters, Rubye Kelly of Copperas Cove, TX, Maryanne Howard of Peralta, NM and Val Reser of Bosque Farms, NM; two brothers, Phil Martin of Anchorage, AK and Randy West of Los Lunas, NM. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her father, Fred Martin in 1994; stepfather, Elmo West in 1998; and her grandmother, Amanda Martin in 2000. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., February 15, 2003 at First Baptist Church of Bosque Farms, NM with Pastor Sid West officiating. Wolff -- Juliette Duran Wolff, 67, a lifelong resident of the Albuquerque area, passed away on February 12, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Madrid and husband, Cosmes and their children, Gabriel and Victor Madrid all of Rio Rancho; son, David Wolff and his children, Jacob, Juliette and Kristen Wolff and companion, Angie Romero all of Albuquerque; son, Gerald Wolff and wife, Cathy, and his son, Gerald Wolff all of Albuquerque; brother, Peter G. Duran, Jr. of Albuquerque. She is also survived by many special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Juliette was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Julia Duran; a sister, Renetta Casias; twin brother, Julian"Buzzy" Duran and baby granddaughter, Lauren Kimberly Wolff. She was a graduate of Loretto Academy in Santa Fe. Juliette retired from Sandia National Laboratory in 1997 after 20 years of service. Her family was one of the first seven original pioneer families of Old Albuquerque. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW with Father Gene Gries, Celebrant.
