Burdick -- R. Wendell Burdick, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since December 1984, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Burdick; son, Richard W. Burdick and wife, Linda of Albuquerque; daughters, Linda Belle Yadsko and husband, Joseph of Freeland, PA and Ruth Ellyn Burdick and husband, Rev. Kenneth of Auburn, WA; son, Scott C. Burdick and wife, Deborah of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. C. Rex Burdick and wife, Joyce of Sherrill, NY, Willard Burdick and wife, Glenice of De Ruyter, NY, Wayne Burdick and wife, Arline of Albuquerque, Eugene Burdick and wife, Elsie of De Ruyter, NY, and Gordon Burdick and wife, Juanita of Lake Wales, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard. Mr. Burdick was born in Boulder, CO and moved at an early age to New York State. He graduated from high school in De Ruyter, NY. He spent the early part of his career owning and operating a large dairy farm in the central New York area. Later he worked for the Key Bank System. Mr. Burdick was active with numerous youth activities including 4-H and Grange. He was also active as a school board member, Farm Bureau member and a member and deacon of Seventh Day Baptist Church in DeRuyter, NY. In recent years, he was a member of the Four Hills Lions Club. Campbell -- Ruth Rose Campbell, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died on Saturday, January 18, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Bill Campbell of Albuquerque; sons, Bill Campbell III and wife Alyson of Peralta, NM, Gaylord T. Campbell and wife Roxanne of Albuquerque, and Kevin E. Campbell and wife Debora of Dana Point, CA; sister, Elaine Manicone and husband Michael of Downey, CA; grandchildren, Bryan Grandin of Peralta, NM, Juliette R. Campbell and Tanner S. Campbell, both of Albuquerque; and step-mother, Fern Zeisel of Albuquerque. Ruth was born and raised in OFallon, IL. She and Bill became high school sweethearts and then married in 1951. She was a valuable part of the family business, Bill Campbell Agency Realtors, since its inception, but she devoted and loved her family most of all. She gave unselfishly of herself to those around her. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dewey Johnson officiating. Cooper -- Ursula V. Cooper, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Sunday, January 19, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Rexford M. Cooper; daughters, Sandra Coyer and Cynthia Gallegos and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Ron and Ray Gallegos, all of Albuquerque, Bonnie and husband, Cyrus of California and Laura and husband, James of Washington; and Ursula's sister, Barbara Tosch and husband, Don of Oregon. Ursula received her Masters Degree in Education at the University of Oregon. She taught school for 25 years in numerous states including California, Georgia, Oregon and Texas, as well as, Germany and retired from A.P.S. Ursula was a member of A.A.U.W. and a member of the Old Glass Club, which she loved. She was a volunteer at the Museum of Natural History in the Education department, and was a published author. Ursula loved the ocean and the desert and taking long walks on both. She and her husband enjoyed playing contract bridge, which they did during their world travels. Duran -- Eddie Duran, 63, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2003 after losing a long battle to brain cancer. He is survived by his wife, Corrine; sons, Gilbert and wife, Carol, and Dennis and wife, June; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Duran; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry, on February 22, 2002. Mr. Duran was born in Las Vegas, NM and retired from ABF Freight Systems in January, 1997. Esparza -- Andrew A. Esparza, 83, a resident of New Mexico since 1920 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003. He was born November 10, 1919 in Morenci, Arizona. Mr. Esparza was preceded in death by his wife, Lenore Esparza; son, Paul Esparza; brothers, Salvadore, Tony, Nieves and John Esparza; and sisters, Severa Diaz, Nestora Esparza and Antonina Esparza. He is survived by his son, Leon Esparza and wife, Sue; daughter, Dolores Dee Esparza; son, David Esparza and wife, Janet; grandchildren; Nathan, Jenna, Cathy and Matthew; sisters, Mary Chavez, Cecilia Sandoval, Genevieve Saucedo, Jenny Placencio and husband, Tom and Lena Talamante and husband, Lawrence; brother, Joe Esparza and wife, Betty; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Esparza was retired form the U.S. Postal Service in 1981 and U.S. Air Force Reserve as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was the first New Mexico USPS Automated Service Technician. Mr. Esparza was a very proud member of the Flying Tigers of World War II, having served in China, Burma, India Theater with the 14th Air Force, 308th Bomb Group, 374th Bomb Squadron (heavy). Until recent years he was an active participant in the 12th street Senior Citizens Center and a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, 14th AF Association and CBI Local Association. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Father Matthew Strabala reciting. Fox -- Karl Heinrich Fuchs Fox, 24, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 19, 2003. He is survived by his parents, Dieter and Jacqueline Fuchs Fox of Albuquerque; sister, Monika Anne Fuchs Grabke and husband, Jason; brothers, Dieter Sean Fuchs Fox and wife, Talese, Ryan Kurt Fuchs Fox and girlfriend, Desiree; grandparents, Hans Karl Buers and wife, Maria Anna; aunts, Mary Caroline MacNinch, and Inge Fuchs and Heidi Marie Kaltwasser of Germany; nieces, Madelyn Tayte Fuchs Fox, Alison Marie Fuchs Grabke, and Jordan Elizabeth Fuchs Grabke; cousin, Scott Henry MacNinch and wife, Julie; 2nd cousins, Brianna Renee MacNinch and Mia Christine MacNinch; and numerous relatives and friends in Albuquerque, Germany, and The Netherlands. He enjoyed life to it's fullest and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Karl's friends and family were simply his life. Garcia -- Rose M. Garcia, age 89, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord our Savior, Thursday, January 23, 2003. Rose was a resident of Albuquerque; and a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving children, Roberto Bobby Perea and wife Dorela of San Antonito, NM, Danny Perea and wife, Augustina of Corrales, NM, Eusebio Perea and wife, Betty, Frank Perea and wife Ruth, Tony Perea and wife Bertha, Pauline Trujillo and husband, David, Linda Carrillo and husband Danny Ray, Isabel Gallegos and husband, Paul, and Maxine Contreras; 39 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Theresa Chaves, family members and friends who helped care for our beloved mother. Leijha -- Susan Leijha, age 60, was called to be with our Lord on January 21, 2003 after a brave fight with cancer. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Lupe Leijha; and sisters, Mary, Fern, Inez, Marcella, Josie, Bernie, and Angie; brother, Mike; and several nieces and nephews. She was a very kind and loving woman and will be greatly missed by all her loving family and friends. Llewellyn -- Harry Llewellyn, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, January 23, 2003. He was born in Indianapolis, IN in 1917; he came and fell in love with New Mexico in 1950 and became a permanent resident of Albuquerque since 1959. Mr. Llewellyn served in the HQ 12th Air Force during WWII. He served overseas in North Africa and Italy from 1942 through 1945. During the war he received two Bronze Stars and the American Defense Service Medal. After returning from the war he attended the John Herron Art School at Indiana University where he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in 1949. Mr. Llewellyn moved to Taos, NM in 1950 and worked as an artist and sign painter until 1952. He met Patty Smith in 1956 in Indianapolis and they were married that same year. He returned with his family to New Mexico in 1959. He worked as a structural sign contractor from 1959 until 1997. Mr. Llewellyn helped design several of the radio towers on the Crest. He loved cooking, fishing, the outdoors, and had a great appreciation of the art of living. Because of his love of football, in his spare time, Mr. Llewellyn coached Young American Football for over 30 years. He belonged to Temple Lodge #6 A.F. and A.M., the Scottish Rite, and the Ballut Abyad Temple of New Mexico. He also was a member of the American Legion, the Elks Club B.O.E.P. and the VFW. Mr. Llewellyn is survived by his wife, Patty Llewellyn; his son, Mark and his wife, Diana; and two grandchildren, Rhys and Trent. Lucero -- Mr. Roman Lucero, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died Thursday, January 23, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 89. Mr. Lucero is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Lucero; mother and father, Eulogio and Emilia Lucero; two brothers, Eulogio Lucero Jr. and Soffle Lucero; and one sister, Gabrielita. Roman was a man who loved his family and loved to share his life stories and words of wisdom with anyone who was willing to listen. He was a man of conviction, self-educated, possessed many talents, and was a master mechanic. He was a self-proclaimed natural healer and touched many lives. Roman loved to go deer hunting with his father and passed down his love for the outdoors to everyone in his life. His belief in life was that anything can be accomplished if you used your"95." Mr. Lucero is survived by his children, Emilia Chavez, Frank Lucero and Marti, Theresa Sandoval and Leo, and Richard Lucero; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Celso and Tony; sister, Jenny Marcum; and a special nephew, Johnny Martinez and Ruby. A Rosary for Mr. Lucero will be recited on Sunday, afternoon at 3:00 p.m. with viewing beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Mcclintic -- Victoria McClintic was born on January 13, 1918 and left this world on January 22, 2003. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM and was preceded in death by her two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by two sons, John and Jim as well as John's wife, her daughter-in-law, Patsy. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Michelle, Jeff and wife, Kim, and Erin and two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Dorcas and Nataleigh McClintic. Services and internment to be privately held for family only. A celebration of her life will be determined at a later date. The family requests that any donations be made to a favorite charity of choice.

Mcfarland -- Elsie E. McFarland, 78, a longtime resident of Stanley, NM, passed away Wednesday January 22, 2003. She was born September 13, 1924, to Fred and Bertha (Willard) Matherly in Corroll County, Virginia. She married William Harper McFarland February 26, 1947 in San Angelo, TX. She is survived by her sons, Bill and his wife, Myra of Roswell, NM, Jim and his wife, Sandi of Canyon Lake, TX, Lee McFarland of Phoenix, AZ; her brother, Arnold Matherly of Danville, VA; sisters, Juanita Rakes, Norma Jean Denkins; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. Elsie was a member of the Stanley Union Church in Stanley, NM, she was a Sunday school teacher for the church and a member of the Stanley Homemakers Club. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and teacher. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Elsie will lie in state Sunday, January 26, 2003, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. Services will be Monday, January 27, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at the Stanley Union Church in Stanley with Pastor James Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the Stanley Cemetery. Mcintyre -- William Howard McIntyre born July 6, 1927 in Albuquerque, NM died January 21, 2003 in Upland, CA. Billy graduated from St. Mary's School in 1947 where he played football and basketball. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines, 5th Division, Company E, during world War II and was a survivor of the full 38-day battle on Iwo Jima. He enlisted in the Marine Corps when he was only 16 years old because he felt a tremendous sense of patriotism and love for his country. He retired from the U.S. Post Office in Ontario, CA in 1989. His loving wife of 55 years, Mary Lee; and 15 of his 17 children survive Billy. His surviving sons are Stephen McIntyre, Bruce McIntyre, Paul McIntyre and Mark McIntyre; daughters, Jennifer Grant, Deborah Yamato, Cecelia Niemczyk, Sandra Williams, Laureen McIntyre, Mary Ann Campi, Teresa Guzman, Karen Schartau, Susan Alvarez, Sally Alvarez, and Melissa McIntyre. His sons, Daniel who died in 1977 and Patrick who died in 1998 preceded him in death. 37 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren also survive Billy. Billy was one of ten children who were all raised in Albuquerque. His surviving siblings are Teresa Zamora, David McIntyre and Boleso McIntyre all of Albuquerque and Craig McIntyre of Phoenix, AZ. Bill has joined his deceased sons as well as his deceased brothers, Robert, Johnny, Duncan and Pado McIntyre; and sister, Madeline Manning with God, our Father in heaven. Rosary will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Cooper Ave., NW on Monday, January 27, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. will follow the Rosary, Father Edmundo Rodriguez, Celebrant. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be conducted at Mount Calvary Cemetery immediately following the Funeral.

Mirabal -- Roman Mirabal Jr., 86, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2003. He was born on November 18, 1916 in New Kirk, NM. Roman is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. He was a WWII Veteran and was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad. He is survived by his sister; Esmerlda"Mildred" Trujillo, Katie Gutierrez and husband, Edward and Pauline Garcia Ruiz and husband Jose and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He will be deeply missed by his loving family. Osborn -- Winston C. Osborn, A/K/A Clare Winston Osborn, a resident of Albuquerque since 1985, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003. She was born December 22, 1917 in Rippey, IA, the daughter of Dr. William S. Osborn and Isabelle Osborn. She is survived by her cousins, Ann Clubine of Ames, IA, Christy Belvin of Amherst, NH, Mary Ann Rader of Pompano Beach, FL, Larry Heileman of Cohasset, MA and Charles B. Larrabee of Albuquerque. Winston Osborn enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a Public Health Nutritionist. She attended St. Theresa College in Winona, MN and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. Winston then attended the University of Chicago and the University of Michigan, where she obtained her Master's Degree in Public Health Nutrition. Her career took her to Juneau and Anchorage, AL, where she made frequent trips by dog sled and bush plane to outlying villages. She was also employed in South Dakota, North Carolina and Arizona, before moving to Albuquerque to work for the Department of Health and Human Services in Indian Health Services. Earlier in her life, she was appointed by the U.S. Government and the World Health Organization to work in the country of Trinidad, located in the Caribbean. Winston retired in February 1995 and lived in the Phoenix Apartments before moving to the Las Palomas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Pickette -- Walter Pickette, 69, a longtime resident of El Rito, NM, passed away quietly after a short illness at the VA Hospital. He is survived by his brother, John Pickette and wife, Anna of Albuquerque; nephew, Jon Scott Pickette and wife, Elisa of San Francisco, CA; nieces, Erika Reynolds and husband, Bill and Stacie Greth, all of Albuquerque; five great-nephews; and two great-nieces; and was preceded in death by longtime companion, Glenn E. Wade y Panebouef. Walter was greatly loved and will be missed by his many friends. He was a gifted artist and designer here in New Mexico and New York City. Walter was a drama professor at the University of Albuquerque, co-owned several art galleries, designed sets and costumes for the Santa Fe Opera, several movies and other theatrical productions. Family and friends would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the VA Hospital for their excellent, professional and loving care. Stabler -- William Lowe Stabler, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 37 years, died Thursday, January 23, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Donna Stabler of Albuquerque; sisters, Nancy Stamper of Springfield, OH, Jeanne Long of Middletown, OH, Susan Keuthan of Palm Bay, FL; and brother, Thomas Stabler of Middletown, OH. He is also survived by sons; Russell Stabler of Mt. View, CA, Mark Stabler and wife, Kathleen of Albuquerque, Michael Hall of Germantown, OH, James Hall and wife, Denise of Middletown, OH; daughters, Elizabeth Hallett and husband, Russell of Belen, Amy Lord and husband, James of Albuquerque; as well as 12 grandchildren. His wife, Mary Jane Matson Stabler and his son, Timothy Stabler preceded him in death. Bill was born in Middletown, OH and earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He was a member of the Catholic Church and quite active at Prince of Peace in Albuquerque. Bill was in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service where he was a Regional Engineer. He was President of the Mile High Optimist and served on Sandia Heights Board of Directors for many years. He was also a past Air Observer in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Rosary will be recited Monday, January 27, 2003, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Avenue NE, with Father Antonio Mondragon, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mile High Optimist Club, c/o Henry Hanson, 3607 Colorado Court NE, 87110. Warren -- Richard Henry Warren, 71, went to be with his savior, Jesus Christ on January 21, 2003. He is survived by his six children; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel at 924 Menaul Blvd. NE on January 28, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.
