Papa, as he was affectionately called, is survived by his wife, of 78 years, Elena; three daughters, Verlene Slease, Celeste Cherubini, and Angelina Milkovich and her husband, Edward Milkovich, as well as by eight grandchildren and spouses; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many other family and friends. Fjelseth -- Alma C. Fjelseth, 97, a resident of Albuquerque for over 40 years, died July 5, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Paul A. Fjelseth and his wife, Irene of Albuquerque, Donald E. Fjelseth, of Albuquerque, and Lewis A. Fjelseth and his wife, Rita of Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Alma was a longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 12, at 10:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE, with Pastor David E. Cruson officiating. Glennon -- Paul Dennis (Sam) Glennon, age 84 from Lakewood, Colorado, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Cedars Health Care Center, Lakewood, Colorado. Paul was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1918 in Fairbury, Illinois to the late James M. Sr. and Bridget (Somers) Glennon. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Jr. and Philip M. Glennon. He is survived by two loving daughters, Paula J. Feiner and her husband, Stuart, Littleton, CO, Michelle A. Richardson, Kansas City, MO; one sister, Mary Frances Rigsby, Fairbury, Illinois; one brother, Thomas Glennon, Chatsworth, Illinois; three grandchildren, Shannon M. Greene, Rogers, AK, Christina M. Arduser, Walker, MO, Jerry J. Shinn, California; two great-grandchildren, Colby and Chloe Arduser and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was a high school graduate and attended college in Chillicothe, MO. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II and the Korean War. Paul leaves this world with us knowing he is in our hearts and watching over us. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. The Rosary will be recited Friday, July 12, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle N.E. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Griego -- Ramon J. Griego, 38, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 8, 2002. Ramon is the beloved son to Joe and Lisa Griego; Ramon is also survived by two sons, (Ray) Ramon Griego Jr. and Gabriel L. Griego; five sisters, Veronica Gonzales and husband Al, Yvonne Griego, Gina Griego, Juana Hernandez and Delilah Chavez; one brother, Eric Griego and Lynette Aragon; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ramon was a member of the Catholic Church and was a faithful employee for the family business, Joe's Memorials. A visitation for Ramon will be Wednesday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A second visitation will be Wednesday evening after 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church with a Communion Service to be held at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Jameson -- Aldona S. Jameson, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964 died July 6, 2002 at her home. She is preceded in death in 1997 by her beloved spouse of 55 years, Malcolm McGregor Jameson. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen J. McClure and husband, James of La Grange, IL, Jo Lee Jameson of Albuquerque; sister, Frances"Fritzie" Halper and her companion, Robert Lyddon of Almo, TX; grandchildren, Steven and Windy McClure both of Chicago, IL. Special thanks goes to Armando Melgar for his many years of loving Care. Jaramillo -- Didianita"Dee Dee" Edwina Jaramillo, 35, born November 4, 1966. A loving daughter, sister and Auntie, left us on July 7, 2002 at La Dera Nursing Home, where she fought a long illness of kidney failure. Dee Dee was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Ray Jaramillo; and her son, Raymond Jaramillo. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Garcia; two brothers, Miramon Garcia and wife, Jamie, and Raymon M. Jaramillo; two sisters, Tonya Jaramillo and Gloria Jaramillo; many nieces and nephews. Godmother to George Jaramillo whom she loved very much. She will be missed very much. Services will be held at San Jose Catholic Parish, 2401 Broadway SE. Kretzer -- Ralph A. Kretzer, 79, resident of Belen, peacefully passed away in an Albuquerque hospital on Sunday, July 7, 2002. He was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belen as a deacon and an elder. At the time of his death he was acting as treasure for his church. He was also a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. Ralph was owner and operator of Avion R.V. Dealership in Pennsylvania for many years. Prior to starting his own dealership, he worked for the U.S. Government as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Because of his extensive mechanical design engineer background, Ralph worked for several engineering companies. He finally retired from EG&G Management Systems Inc. in 2000. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. Preceding him in death are his parents, Clyde and Alice Kretzer; one brother, Norman; and his sister-in-law, Hazel Kretzer. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Helen of Belen; two daughters, Joyce Paulsen and her husband, Tom of Elk Grove, California and Coleen Nickeson of Clarkston, Washington; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Cathrine Eigenbrode and Rose Wells, both of Wayensboro, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his three loving nieces. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Belen. Mauldin -- Dane Kris Mauldin, 44, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, July 7, 2002. He is survived by his mother, Nan Mauldin of Albuquerque; sister, Kim Hahn and husband, Larry of Albuquerque; special cousin and friend, James Emmert and wife, Jeanette of Amarillo, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Mauldin, May 22, 2001 and his sister, Kay Carter, January 7, 2002. Kris graduated from Eldorado High School. He was employed by Southwest Airlines since 1993 as a sales supervisor. He loved his job and all the people he worked with. He was a beloved son, brother, coworker, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Perez -- Eric"Eraclio" Perez went home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2002. He was born on April 10, 1932. Mr. Perez also known as"El Galan" owned and operated Cristy Record's for 28 years, sang with various mariachi group's for 33 years and was a life long resident of Barrelas. He is survived by his wife, Marcella S. Perez of 52 years; two sons, Eric L. Perez Jr. and Louie Perez; sister, Jennie P. Vallez, special daughters-in-law, Patsy Perez and Isabel Perez; three grandchildren, Maria Elena Stephens, Vivian Perez, Luis A. Perez; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Perez will be deeply missed by his loving family. Rhoads -- James Rhoads, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vadis Rhoads of the family home; two sisters, Geneva James and Mary Matheny, and their families all of Ohio; and a niece, Caroline Antill of England. Mr. Rhoads was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Rhoads. He was a 2nd Lieutenant Army veteran serving during WWII. Mr. Rhoads was a member of the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Division"Hell on Wheels". He participated in the invasion of North Africa, Sicily and Normandy, and onto Berlin. Graveside services will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM, with Pastor Glenn Fink officiating. Virgil was born June 19, 1913 the son of Angelo and Maria Nechiari Salce in Corrales, New Mexico. He had been a farmer his entire life until retiring. Virgil was preceded in death by his wife, Cathleen in 1992. Sedillo -- Ezequiel (Zeke) Claudio Sedillo, 38, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Los Lunas on Sunday July 7, 2002. Zeke was born in Grants, New Mexico on June 5, 1964 to Gillie and Barbara Sedillo. Zeke is the beloved husband of 15 years to Patricia (Trish) Sedillo; four beautiful daughters, Lenee Baker, Amanda (Maria), Amy and Arielle; one granddaughter, Madealynn, all of whom made him very happy and proud. He is also survived by his loving mother, Barbara of Albuquerque; two brothers, Barney of Albuquerque, Daniel and wife, Rosemarie Sedillo of Bloomfield, N.M.; three sisters, Edwina Martinez and husband, Fernie of Albuquerque, Lucy Ann Stalee and husband, David of Fort Worth, TX., Becky Larkin and husband, David of Grand Junction, Co.; Zeke also leaves behind Granny, who lived with them and Lanee's grandma, Lilith Baker; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who also suffer by his loss. Zeke was preceded in death by his father, Gillie and a brother, Gilbert Jr. Zeke lived in the Albuquerque-Los Lunas area for the past eight years and was employed by Lovelace Health Services. His special pride and joy was spending time coaching his daughters in softball and other sports. He was well known for his outstanding girls softball coaching skills and was well loved and respected by his girls, their parents, coaches and officials of the softball leagues, especially the Chile Peppers, the very promising Pride Allstar Team. Zeke's generosity and helpfulness knew of no boundaries as is evidenced by his many many softball friends and his close high school buddies. He will be missed dearly by family, friends and acquaintances. He was respected by all that met him. His laughter behind the barbecue grill was contagious and will be missed. We know he will continue coaching us from Heaven and will have the grill waiting for everyone when our time comes. Zeke was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome, New Mexico with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m. by Juan Sandoval. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome, by Father Jose Hernandez. Private Disposition will take place. Pallbearers will be, Charles Lundstom, Billy Mc Clung, J.T. Michael, Art Lucero, Fernie Martinez Jr. and Michael Blea. Shapiro -- Betsy E. Shapiro, 62, a resident of Rio Rancho passed away on July 6, 2002. Betsy was born on July 15, 1939 in Buffalo, NY to Harry and Esther Hymowitz. Betsy was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Congretation Albert Synagogue. Betsy was very active in politics and was a proud member of the Democratic Club. She adored her family and her precious grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Betsy is survived by her husband, Earl Shapiro of Rio Rancho; her sons, Philip Shapiro and wife, Connie of Rio Rancho, Michael Shapiro and fiancé, Debbie, Daniel Shapiro all of Albuquerque; sister, Barbara and husband, Lou Montano of Auora, CO; brother, Raymond Howard and wife, Diana of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Cathy, Adam, David, Kevin, Mariah, Tori, DeAunna and a host of very special friends. Sheets -- Robert L. Sheets, born in New Mexico September 2, 1933, passed away at home July 8, 2002. Robert was a lifelong pump installation and well drilling contractor in New Mexico. Trimble -- Rowena Frances Trimble was born in Kirkville, MO, the first child of Floene and Thomas Quinn. Her father's newspaper profession took them to different parts of the country, settling in IA. Trimble later met and married Donald Dean Trimble. During WWII her husband became a career Air Force Officer, more traveling including time in England and Morocco. Wherever they lived, she created a home. She was a talented artist, a creative seamstress and an avid gardener. Mrs. Trimble was preceded in death by her husband in 1990 and is survived by their son, Thomas Trimble, and grandson, Taylor Trimble, both of Madison, WI, as well as a brother, Thomas Quinn of North Carolina and two nieces, residents of New Jersey. Upshaw -- Faith Joy Upshaw, was born March 27, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. Faith passed away July 8, 2002. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with Lord Monday, after battling a life long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Eleanor Heidel of Downers Grove, Illinois. Faith is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gene Upshaw; sister, Dolores Hetzler of Emlinton, Pa.; son, Sean Collins and wife, Cindy; daughter, Hope Jennifer and husband, Kelly Glover; granddaughters, Kelsie Mae and Kaylee Faith Glover of Los Chavez, NM; step-granddaughter, Jessica Urioste; three great-grandchildren, Mark, Sonrisa, and Sean Ray of Las Vegas, NM; numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and services will be held at Gospel Light Baptist Church, on Saturday, July 11, 2002, where Faith delighted in spending many hours volunteering her services of cooking, or whatever was the Lord's will. The church is located at 1500 Southern Blvd., Rio Rancho. Viewing and visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sean Collins, Kelly Glover, Daryl Upshaw, Jeremy Lenentine, Todd Hathorne and Rick Pope. Faith was a blessing and encouragement to us all, and she will be missed very much. West -- Charles F. West, 71, a longtime resident of Socorro, NM passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2002 in Albuquerque after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Charles was a Boy Scout Leader for 52 years and loved fishing, hunting, hiking and Bosque Del Apache tours. He retired in 1999 from White Sands Stallion Range. He is survived by his wife, Betty Cash West; his son, Roy E. West of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Leslie Carver and husband, Bill of Lubbock, TX, Linda Mullins of Las Cruces, NM and Sandi Littrel and husband, Danny of Fairbanks, Alaska; step-children, Linda Clawson and husband, Keith of Ramah, NM, Janet Brassell of Socorro and Barry Cash and wife, Trina of Willcox, AZ; 14 grandchildren, Richard and James Mullins, Valerie Littrel, Charlene Trahan, Ron Chambers, Amber Chambers, Bruce Moring, Michael Brassell, Randy Bishop, Katti Cash, Wesley Cas, Lori Blancett, Cody Cash and Nicole Cash; 11 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Park, Jason LaRue, Jada Randall, Stacy Serafin, Justin Oldfield, Clinton Baker, Cameron Chambers, Clayton Moring, Garen Moring, Nicole and Haley Brassell; four great-great-grandchildren, Eric Serafin, Christian and Avery Randall and Dilyn LaRue. Viewing will be Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Socorro. Interment will be in Mancos, CO on July 12, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Whitehead -- Barbara T. Whitehead, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960 died, Monday, July 8, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Tom Whitehead and wife, Elizabeth, Richard Whitehead and wife, Ann all from Albuquerque, John Whitehead and wife, Dianne of Ruidoso, NM and Glen Whitehead and wife, Janice of Sealy, TX; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Richard C. Whitehead, Sr. She was the past president of New Mexico Mental Health Association and Rose Society. Mrs. Whitehead was also a member of the Decorative Artist Guild. Memorial services will be held, Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Williams -- Simon T. Williams, 67, passed away at his home Tuesday, June 25, 2002. Simon was born November 20, 1934 at Campwood, TX to William Jackson and Mary Francis Brown Williams. Simon attended Odessa High School, later he became an Iron worker in the Local 495 of Albuquerque and eventually became an independent contractor. Simons true love was horses. He trained and raced horses all his life. Simon met and married Katherine Jett and together had four children, Pamela, Simon Jr., Quincy, and John. Simon is one of ten children, Kenneth, Deceased, Bill, Darrell, Edwin Brown, Tommie Sue, Maybelle, Alan David, Willie Vee, and Cal. Simon retired in 1999 and moved to Jay, OK in 2000 where he and Katherine established a ranch. Funeral Services were held June 28, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church, Jay, OK. Interment was held at Duffield Cemetery, Jay, OK under the direction of Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay, OK.
